Radio Times Ambridge Diary 5-10 January
Leonard is knocked sideways by some emotional news and all does not go well when he faces a difficult day with the Brookfield family standing by his side. Harrison has to fight to keep his emotions in check when he faces a challenging callout, but then receives a surprising offer from his superior. Lily takes matters into her own hands when Brad tells her he's struggling, Jolene makes a rash decision at The Bull, and Khalil's mouth runs away with him.

12th January – 17th January 2025
12.1 Justin faces a dilemma, and plans forge ahead for Ruth.
13.1 Joy isn’t herself at all, and Helen considers her options.
14.1 Rex is left confused, and Neil has questions.

Emotions are running high for the Grundys as George is due for release - but life is getting complicated for him after Markie's revenge. Emma is horrified to discover what George has been going through and takes her frustration out on another resident. Ed attempts to offer advice and Will frets, but Amber tries to stay positive. Fallon struggles with the future and Brad feels guilty - perhaps with good reason for once.

Carly was the name of the girl fostered by Caroline and Oliver back in 2006; she had a crush on Chris Carter.

I suppose it might be the same one, all grown up now.

I did remember that and I see Oliver is in the cast list. Not impossible. It's not a common name. However, if it is that Louise Brealey she's 46. I suppose the casting of Amber shows the production team don't worry too much about that sort of thing.

Goodness, Josh reappears. We haven't heard from him for months, have we?

Yes, I put that together with the speculation about Amber on the other thread and thought what very odd siblings the Archers are.

It's midweek, but I feel duty bound to pass this on right away rather than waiting till the weekend. Which neighbour do we think this might be? Can't be Jill as she isn't a neighbour.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 12-17 October
The Best Pub Award ceremony is approaching, but with only two tickets available, things kick off at The Bull and Jolene feels under pressure. There's a horrible shock for David as he calls in on a neighbour, which could have bad consequences for him and Ruth. The Maliks celebrate Khalil's big day, Zainab finds some interesting information at Grey Gables and Fallon faces a difficult moment.

Could Cleo have eaten Rosie, or (perhaps more likely) vice versa?

Jill has gone already. They gave her a nasty side before when Ben had his breakdown, and she's obviously frail.

Shame because she, with Phil, was Brookfield to me.

Apologies, I didn't mean that to sound harsh. Paddy Greene is by all accounts a lovely person and many of us will have loved Jill in The Archers.
According to a local rag, she's in a care home in a town not far from me.
