Leonard is knocked sideways by some emotional news and all does not go well when he faces a difficult day with the Brookfield family standing by his side. Harrison has to fight to keep his emotions in check when he faces a challenging callout, but then receives a surprising offer from his superior. Lily takes matters into her own hands when Brad tells her he's struggling, Jolene makes a rash decision at The Bull, and Khalil's mouth runs away with him.

Now that pantomime villain, Lawrence, has disappeared for a while (I have a bad hunch the Editor thinks he’s great), isn’t about time we heard about the domestic disharmony amongst siblings and cousins at Beechwood? Henry has been in a few episodes recently, Tom too, but not a single comment.

On the plus side, they have remembered that Ambridge isn’t a suburb of Brum, so at least we’re getting a few rural storylines.

I'm quite enjoying the Lawrence storyline - Rupert Vansittart is such a brilliant actor and the hybrid of pantomime villain/serious point about creepy pests like Lawrence is a good listen!

One would think beans on toast was foolproof - but I once had an American relative with whom I was staying serve me baked beans in a bowl, with the toast on the side. I almost cried.

Appalling, Totters. I would have cried too.

Well, here's a round up of sorts. The BBC has not put up any teasers for the week after next and the week after that is patchy. Glitch or big story on the way? Who knows.

As the cricket team reels from the events of last week, Lily’s problems multiply when the Flower and Produce Show hits some snags. Ruairi returns to Ambridge and it soon becomes apparent he has unfinished business with Paul. The tension between Justin and Brian boils over at the Harvest Festival, and Fallon tries to face her fear at the memorial swim.

Total TV Guide 14th - 19th September
Consider the Lily of the cricket field this week, as the director of the Ambridge team finds herself on a sticky wicket after last week’s furore, which only escalates when the Flower and Produce Show also runs into problems. Ruairi’s back in Ambridge, and while Paul had claimed he was only interested in a serious relationship rather than just a fling, there’s an immediate frisson between the pair. Ruairi’s fear of rejection could make exposing his true feelings a challenge, and his return to the village stirs an unwelcome reaction in his half-sister Alice. Fallon, Ed and Jazzer face an emotional week, and the Harvest Festival proves far from a bucolic event when the tension between Brian and Justin bursts into fruition!

After last week’s disaster, the Flower and Produce Show returns, now at Grey Gables - but with few competitors, a hastily appointed judge, and an angry mob gathering, it could prove even more of a mess. The problem is compounded when Alan makes a potentially disastrous mistake and it’s left to Azra to try to save him. The question of who will run Home Farm has to be answered after Ruairi’s return, but it may leave one relative out in the cold.

Can’t see what led you to that conclusion, or who you imagine would be spawning, but I sincerely hope you’re wrong.
On just as little evidence, I vote for her being an undertaker.

Has Brad dropped out of uni? Not sure the sw know what to do with him but a contrived love triangle is stupid. We only met Amber a short while back so doesn’t have the interest of the two brothers and their bride

They haven't mentioned Brad dropping out, but to be realistic they've probably forgotten that he's even at university.

Someone, possibly George, asked him if he would have time to attend upon Bartleby given his uni study - and Brad replied that he could miss one lecture and catch up online.

I agree we don’t know Amber much - but they’ve laid the groundwork on the closeness between George and Brad over years. A serious split between them - where kind, sweet Brad betrays the more overtly dominant and less sweet George would have ramifications for half the village for decades to come.

I think that they are replicating the Ed/William fallout over a woman
