Steve Allen leaves LBC 'with immediate effect'

Blimey. 44 years at LBC, I thought he was immovable. I'd love to know what happened to cause this without even a wave of farewell. He'd have made a right meal of it on his programme if it had happened to someone else.

I agree @newnamethanksi enjoy listening to Ian, he seems a really nice bloke. Steve Allen was boring and repetitive.

He invites people onto the show , Steve Allen never allowed phone ins , only text that he'd sometimes read out but would chastise peoples grammar

Nah, still miss Steve. Ian talks too much footy, sport - every day he says his fave movie is Jaws (I mean, like every day?) and plays the theme tune , then it's the mumm, mumm, mumm, mumm, mumm when he's trying to think what next to say, he talks over people, he shows he bored with most callers. Nope, doesn't do it for me.

Probably best you don’t listen then.

I like Ian because he talks about football although he keeps apologising for doing it!
