Archers Thanks to LilG for the title, and DDD for starting the last thread and the tradition of the thread starter nominating the next thread starter Grin

Lurkers are always welcome to unlurk and join in, including asking questions of the many very knowledgeable posters with a long Archers-listening history.

Don't post spoilers based on forthcoming plot synopses that you've read, there's another thread for that (and we'd love to see you over there). Once an episode has aired then it's fair game. Archers

I hope Natasha whisks Tom off to her farm.

Is it far away?

Is there the potential for an accident with a juicer?

Long term prediction, Roy goes back at LL to save LL and the dopey Elizabeth from herself, they eventually rekindle the music festival pash, they wed and he becomes a de facto Lord of LL, sorting the evil son out in the meantime and punching Lily's money-grabbing bloke as well.

TheEfficientBaxter · 06/11/2018 21:57

It's a possibility, Tilly - but what about Lexi?

LillianGish · 06/11/2018 22:19

Lexi’s gone so long I wouldn’t be surprised if she’d met someone back home. There’s been no mention of the Ian and Adam surrogacy for ages.

TheEfficientBaxter · 06/11/2018 23:36

You've got a point there, Lillian. Didn't Lexi go home to be with her daughters while they were on summer holiday from school?

They would have been back at school weeks ago, wouldn't they? Perhaps you're right, then, and we've seen the last of her.

Lots of loose ends need tying up, though, if so.

To be fair to Roy, Geraldine's first reaction also was that they would have to offer refunds

Geraldine worked for Roy when he was a manager at LL didn't she? So it might have been instinctive compliance in a problem situation when she has been carrying too much for a while. I'm not really sure as she sounded quite uncertain and Roy/Emma's refund demand had already been mentioned. I felt sorry for her really.

C8H10N4O2 · 07/11/2018 00:47

I hope Natasha and Hannah fight to the death over Tom and that he is killed in the crossfire.

Even if its just Tom and Miss Piggy's demise I think you have a crowd pleasing solution

C8H10N4O2 · 07/11/2018 00:52

Long term prediction, Roy goes back at LL to save LL[..]

I really hope not. I could do without another story where Manly Man saves feeble wimmin from their feeble wimminness.

Roy has moved on to another job. Good storyline. Elizabeth isn't dopey - she never has been. She created the current LL business from nothing.

She is obsessed and is being written as annoying which is a very different scenario. It may cost her the business viability but in business terms she has achieved far more than Roy.

QuaterMiss · 07/11/2018 01:21

Oh, but that's hardly fair! Elizabeth married a stately home, so had a bit of a head start. Roy has only ever been employed by large houses. (And let's not forget the backward step he took after being forced to 'resign' from LL.)

C8H10N4O2 · 07/11/2018 01:38

Oh, but that's hardly fair! Elizabeth married a stately home

Which was going bust.

All the offerings which attract paying customers were developed and devised by Elizabeth (with the exception of the music festival). Not only that but she developed them in the face of constant objections, obstructing and undermining from Julia. It was Elizabeth who saw the problem and came up with the solutions then planned to implement them. She turned LL from something going bust into a thriving business able to support the family comfortably as well as the land and buildings and all the staff.

Roy has gone in to manage going concerns. Nothing wrong with that but its a very different set of requirements.

EBearhug · 07/11/2018 01:56

Lexi’s gone so long

Roy said in the last week that she's due back next week. It's ages since we heard from Roy till this last week, so it has to be that recent.

cheminotte · 07/11/2018 11:07

Kathy who Fink ?

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/11/2018 11:59

MysticBore™️ predicts that Lexi will decide that her future is in Bulgaria, not Ambridge. Roy will follow her there and they will open a hotel together.

EBearhug · 07/11/2018 13:43

Roy will follow her there and they will open a hotel together.

Are you sure that isn't just wishful thinking?

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/11/2018 14:00

Grin Grin

QuaterMiss · 07/11/2018 14:18

Heavens! Just listened to the repeat. Why is no-one talking about the completely electric chemistry between Natasha and Tony?

Surely that wasn't what the SW intended? They were amazing together ...

witchmountain · 07/11/2018 15:05

I hope they go to Sunny Beach and Roy has a run in with the mafia.

The cast will be much smaller when I’ve finished...

I thought it sounded like Tony was leering at her.

Loved the sheep dog fetching though. I found it v touching.

InkySplatter · 07/11/2018 18:05

Oh I thought Tony thought she was a soulless money hungry business women, no farming love, connection with the land etc.

I confess I did start day dreaming about Ben's new pupper giving him badger related nightmares as border collies & badgers have similar colouring.

OrchidInTheSun · 07/11/2018 19:16

Lexi has dumped dull Roy :(

Abra1de · 07/11/2018 19:19

Poor Roy!

BertrandRussell · 07/11/2018 19:19

Oh poor Roy!

Abra1de · 07/11/2018 19:20

You think she might have warned him
before she came back.

Not that I blame her.

witchmountain · 07/11/2018 19:27

She didn’t though, did she? Not yet. She’ll have to spell it out given how wilfully oblivious he is.
