And there’s some rubbish about an ex-stripper policeman?

How much longer do we have to put up with Pip actress, she has not improved.

StrippingLLamaWhisperer · 15/08/2018 05:27

I'm really in the minority - I think the new Pip is a big improvement on the old one. I'm just ticked off at this baby storyline...yawn, was hoping for something more original for her. I dearly hope it IS Rex that goes up the aisle with her.

I also am a little bit in love with like Harrison, just lurve the way he talks, and the stripper detail is...delicious Grin

Gruach · 15/08/2018 07:59

Grin

Never mind - only other 97 or so years til’ it’s over!

Bekabeech · 15/08/2018 08:13

I will be fed up if Pip gets with Rex - it is a very very tired cliche, and has been done to death in the Archers. Not just Emma and the Grundys, but endless one sister marrying another sister's ex (Elizabeth, Jenny...).
And in RL a sister going out with her sister's ex has led to family feuds, similar for going out with brother's ex, or even in one case a brother's friend.

R4 · 15/08/2018 08:14

I take a dim view of police officers being dishonest and manipulating people for what they perceive to be the greater good.

Remember, too, him trying to trick Justin into an interview cosy chat about Matt's accident.
And let's not go into his weird behaviour when he first met Fallon.

TigerTeatimes · 15/08/2018 08:54

Oh yeah he was really abusing his proximity to the suspects with the whole Matt thing R4. What happened when sleuthy spice met Fallon?

ppeatfruit · 15/08/2018 09:17

I LIKE Harrison, he has a pleasant accent, he's cute, if not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but it must be difficult (if not impossible) to police your own family and or village.

Also (hides) I don't mind Pip the actress, the character is a touch selfish also juvenile when it comes to Josh but that's TA and quite lifelike .

R4 · 15/08/2018 09:18

Fallon was being a bit unruly after a night on the tiles so Harrison, who fancied this fiery beauty, decided to detain her. He used his PC privileges to get her personal details and stalked her.

MereDintofPandiculation · 15/08/2018 10:09

He used his PC privileges to get her personal details and stalked her. Yes, precisely. I could never believe that Fallon would get into a relationship with such a sleazebag. But wasn't it the same era that introduced Titchenor as a dreamboat? Just another example of a very odd understanding by editor/SWs of what constitutes healthy relationships.

AthenaisdeRochechouart · 15/08/2018 13:03

I think it's unseemly that the women got so drunk they can't remember anything. Morons.

StrippingLLamaWhisperer · 15/08/2018 13:31

He can use his pc privileges on me anytime, hurhurr Grin

Sorry i'll stop now, i do not condone stalking.

Gruach - yes!! Arrrrgh!

I do agree TA seem to be overdoing the marrying brother and sister exes, they should stop right after pip marries rex. Never again please.

QueJamones · 15/08/2018 13:40

Just to mention... a caution is not being let off, it's a conviction and requires admission of the offence, and will be recorded on your 'criminal record' . I'm not sure it would even be available as an option for supplying. Generally you should probably refuse to accept a caution as in most cases where it's offered the CJS would not prosecute (lack of evidence etc) - certainly get legal advice first (I am not a solicitor Grin).

AthenaisdeRochechouart · 15/08/2018 13:57

I like Harrison but he and Fallon as a couple really irritate me. I wish he'd got together with Kirsty.

TigerTeatimes · 15/08/2018 15:00

Oh R4 that's actually vile. I feel funny inside now, that's so creepy. Envy

D0do · 15/08/2018 15:42

David is currently busy elsewhere, it would seem. From a BBC round up of what's on at the Fringe.

One show about Brexit - called, er, Brexit - isn't stand-up at all but a comedy drama by Robert Khan and Tom Salinsky.

It stars Timothy Bentinck - David Archer in The Archers - as a Conservative prime minister trying to negotiate his way out of a prolonged post-Brexit transitional period.

Salinsky says that while he was sure Brexit was the right topic for 2018, "it was a tough play to write. You want it to be searingly topical, but there's also a danger of writing something that goes out of date.

"That's partly why the play's set in 2020."

Tougher job even than lambing at Brookfield!

extinctspecies · 15/08/2018 18:19

I am very behind at the moment.

Could some kind person please tell me briefly how Freddie got busted for drug-dealing?

(And I agree with the PP who said the Freddie actor is very good)

TigerTeatimes · 15/08/2018 18:31

He briefly joined Harrison's stag at LL and offered exhausted new parent Toby something to liven him up a bit. Needless to say there was a large police presence at our local officer's do.

Harrison was ditching drinks to stay sober, he was also dressed up as ginger spice.

R4 · 15/08/2018 19:00

Freddie wasn't quite so stupid as to offer round drugs at a police officer's convention.Grin The stag do came to LL because there was a beer fest. Freddie was going to town originally but Lily (thinking he was clubbing, not dealing) persuaded him to go to the beer fest.

Gruach · 15/08/2018 19:15

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

EsmesBees · 15/08/2018 19:19

Oh honestly!

cheminotte · 15/08/2018 19:20

I was really impressed with the acting of both Freddy and Johnny.

R4 · 15/08/2018 19:41

Go Toby!Grin

ADarkandStormyKnight · 15/08/2018 20:19

After how shitty Jill was to Alistair I was hoping for Grace Phoenix Tobetta Fairbrother the Avenger.

Gruach · 15/08/2018 20:21

Jill on Twitter ‘I. Can’t. Even ...’

Grin

On another note - how old is Jim? I’m disagreeing with myself here but his connection to the First Family is becoming more and more tenuous ... Dan really needs to put in more lengthy appearances to underline some relationship between them - given that they’re not related by blood. Otherwise I’d worry that Jim might soon start to feel poorly and lie down like Nigel’s horse.

birdsdestiny · 15/08/2018 21:47

I am just wondering if the scriptwriters have moments like the one I have just had. Sat quietly eating stirfry when for no reason whatsover I thought what on earth happened to Olywn. Is there somewhere a writer sitting on their settee thinking oh bugger Kathy..
