And there’s some rubbish about an ex-stripper policeman?

Yes, I think Ben did GCSEs this year. I've lost track of how old the other Ambridge teenagers are. Is Jake GCSE year? Mia is 13 or 14 and he is older, so he might be. George must be approaching that age. No idea how old the notorious Button girls are supposed to be.

Gruach · 11/08/2018 13:55

Ben was born on March 15, 2002 - so is waiting for his GCSE results. (Poor, neglected child.)

I’m wondering if Lily will spend the year at a crammer (perhaps they’re not called that nowadays?) or whether it will be decided that she’s such a great stately home manager she can manage without any more education.

Gruach · 11/08/2018 14:02

George - April 2005.

Jake - the BBC doesn’t seem to have any opinion on how old he might be.Hmm

Nothing Ben could do would outshine Pip's getting upduffed by accident by a FWB.

MikeUniformMike · 11/08/2018 15:19

But there's plenty of time and Tilly or Molly Button might oblige.

MissVanjie · 11/08/2018 16:58

“I'm wondering whether Freddie will do better than Lily.”

I wondered this too, after his late onset revision regime...

cheminotte · 11/08/2018 17:39

Just caught up. BOOP for Lizzie asking Freddy if Shula was feeding him properly!

EBearhug · 11/08/2018 18:13

I thought that, round the time Will was building Jake a desk out of an old door, there was talk about next year being his GCSE year. We had quite a bit of discussion about his and Mia's ages in the aftermath of Nic's death.

Gruach · 11/08/2018 18:18

I remember the discussion, EBear - just don’t recall the conclusions that were drawn!

cheminotte · 11/08/2018 20:30

It occurred to me that Lily could say she kept Freddy’s secret as he threatened to tell about, about, about Meredith but then Lizzie has known for a while now so that doesn’t work.

Magicbugkiller · 11/08/2018 22:57

Fred re sat his GCSEs. There is no way he will be on a 3 a level course and so he cannot outperform Lily. He would be on a BTEC/A level combination.

OOPs sorry that is the real world!

FlotSHAMnJetson · 11/08/2018 23:02

I can't believe how unreasonable Elizabeth was, one of the few plot lines that has led me to wish they swore as if that was my mother, blaming me for my siblings mess I'd have told her to fuck off. (Actually that's a lie, I managed to run away from home for 18 months as a teen, yet never told them to fuck off!)

Bekabeech · 12/08/2018 00:34

Freddie resat one GCSE, Maths. It would be more realistic if he was only doing two A'levels but I think it was 3.

ADarkandStormyKnight · 12/08/2018 06:52

To be fair to Elizabeth she is under immense pressure because of Freddie, trying to be an understanding mother to her son and also trying to save her business which he has just wrecked. Then to discover that Lily knew and had said nothing... even when Noluthandu was hurt.... I’d have been incandescent. And being a single parent in that situation must be incredibly hard.

ppeatfruit · 12/08/2018 08:38

cheminotte I would hope that Shula showed Freddie the larder, fridge and how the cooker worked and suggested he made himself, and her, some meals. Lizzie should have taught the twins to cook by now.

BertrandRussell · 12/08/2018 08:50

I think Lily should most definitely have told Lizzie about what happened to Noli and about the mushrooms. And I think so does she. Which is why she flew off the handle like that.

LassWiADelicateAir · 12/08/2018 09:02

Lily definitely should have told her mother about what happened to Noli and about the mushrooms. In not doing so she has contributed to the mess they are all now in.

LassWiADelicateAir · 12/08/2018 09:05

I can't believe how unreasonable Elizabeth was, one of the few plot lines that has led me to wish they swore as if that was my mother, blaming me for my siblings mess

There was nothing unreasonable about it. All 3 are in this mess which has now been partly caused by Lily doing nothing.

ppeatfruit · 12/08/2018 09:15

Out of interest what ever happened to Lewis ? If Lizzie needed the support of an older person of the world it's now, or the doctor who she was seeing for a while? Would Jill be strong enough for her to talk to?

The bombshell of Russ has not hit the fan yet either oops Shock

Gruach · 12/08/2018 09:22

Heavens - I’d forgotten Lewis!

They are So Bad At This.

Of course he would have had plenty to say! So frustrating. (Ok, am waiting for someone to tell me, and ppeatGrin that Lewis emigrated to Patagonia during one of the episodes I missed the year before last. Or that he had a splendid LL funeral. That I missed.) Otherwise ...

For everyone else who didn't remember Lewis (including me)

LassWiADelicateAir · 12/08/2018 09:38

Is Dr Locke also in the cereal cupboard wuth Ben, Carole , Lewis and probably Kirsty and her new man (whose name I can't remember)

ppeatfruit · 12/08/2018 09:46

Yes Gruach Grin he had a nice voice. To be fair we have heard from Kirsty relatively recently though Lass. She laid into Tom in the cafe.

Gruach · 12/08/2018 09:47

It’s a shame really. He’d have been a great comfort to Oliver after Caroline’s death. And we’ve missed out on his relationship with his step-grandchildren - which is rather a loss.

How old would he be now?
