I dunno - The Archers is after all based on connection (blood or feudal) to the First Family. Jake and Mia have only the most tenuous connection (their stepfather works for an Aldridge/someone married to the daughter of an Archer or their stepfathers’s ex-wife’s brother is married to an Aldridge-Archer.) All takes a lot of explaining when they’re not yet old enough to speak for themselves.

I am amazed how petty/mean this has become, just because fellow fans asked that no spoilers appear on the title thread. I really did not think it was a huge thing to ask.

Five I think the joshing is a bit of light-hearted relief, a coping mechanism to help us all deal with the untimely de... er, the thing that may or may not have happened, and I'm not saying anything did happen, but if it did it may or may not have been all that bad but I really can't say, but honestly it's fine, everything is fine - Nic didn't die, no she didn't, what ever gave anyone that idea ...

FiveShelties - I wouldn't interpret a lot of this is petty or mean. It's typical on these threads that posters go off on a tangent and have a bit of fun, that's all I'm seeing now.

These threads have often veered from "pure" discussion of TA. But make a point about a storyline or ask a question about a character, and it veers straight back.

FiveShelties it seems we have no right to comment as we haven't volunteered to start a thread . Or is it because we don't contribute regularly? I do contribute, but my contributions are rarely noticed, which is fine, but I do take offence at the inference that because I'm not one of the regulars, I have no right to agree to a simple, polite request.
