Bettyfood - it doesn't matter how old Jake and Mia ought to be, they will be whatever age it suits the purpose of the current editor/scriptwriters, and Ambridge history will yet again be rewritten by those who don't understand or believe in Continuity.

The forgetting of Jamie (mentioned upthread as not dead but forgotten) is one of the weirder ones given Kenton's recent advice to Toby about being a good father, not giving up on the child when you're not with the mother etc. It's all very well to sigh and regret your daughter living abroad, but what about the kid you were practically step-father to for years who might be on your doorstep (or might have moved anywhere by now, no idea)?!

This thread has become so sneery. I'd quite like it to be abandoned and a new one started after the omnibus. Let's get back to sneering at the SW and the characters instead of each other and MNHQ.

Have we resolved how old Jake and Mia are? It seems ages since Will rescued Nic from her bailiff-stripped flat. I wonder how often he reminded her of that over the years.............

As ever, the SW have conveniently forgotten about Jamie along with his mum.

My first thought on waking this morning was that Nic is another victim of the flood. That is, she was helping Joe sort out a load of stuff he packed up after the flood, is that correct? And which caused the cut which caused the infection.
So Nic, Freda and Scruff, all callously murdered by Rob. (I'm including Scruff because I'm guessing his period of going awol contributed to his demise).
So perhaps the next thread title could be Who will Tichener murder next? - not a spoiler but certainly a bit of misdirection.
