So it’s taken a sad, untimely death to bring me out of retirement. How I have missed you all Flowers

Mrs Antrobus is dead too. And her Afghan whose name I can't remember.

And that poacher Uncle Tom shot by accident

FiveShelties · 24/02/2018 21:38

Mrs A had lots of Arghans I think - one was called Portia I think.

LillianGish · 24/02/2018 21:38

Portia.

PseudoBadger · 24/02/2018 21:50

I’m sure there are some dead badgers Sad

You might want to ask David about that....

Yes badger-murdering Dave. Didn't he kill someone too?

PseudoBadger · 24/02/2018 22:19

Gosh I haven’t thought about Jamie for ages! And clearly neither have the script writers. Or Kenton.

I haven’t thought about Marjorie Antrobus for years! But she must have been one of the earliest names I can recall hearing while at my mother’s knee, and I remember Pip being born vividly.

MereDintofPandiculation · 24/02/2018 22:39

The characters I used to really enjoy were Marjorie Antrobus, Nelson Gabriel (couldn't stand Walter) and Aunt Laura. Oh, and Col Danby.

JessieMcJessie · 24/02/2018 22:48

I believe David killed Clarrie’s Dad Jethro by dropping a branch on him or something. Before my listening time but was mentioned on the old BBC message boards.

Lancelottie · 24/02/2018 22:55

One of my earliest Archers memories is Helen’s pony pegging it, and Pat and Tony weirdly trying not to tell Helen it was dead.

I can still remember Childe Hellin’s strangely emotionless cries of ‘He’s dead, isn’t he. Oh Comet. Comet.’

This may all be false memory syndrome.

I hate to say this - but this thread has got halfway to full in a day, so, er, ah, ..., do we need, er, to start suggesting titles for the next thread?

Lilian's first husband

Lilian's second husband

Jack 1

Jack 2

Christine's useless first husband

Christine's charmingly gruff second husband

NorthernLurker · 24/02/2018 23:21

They're all dead you know

BikingBeatrix · 24/02/2018 23:22

Having got only as far as p 10, l feel a strange need to channel Pip: l can’t deal with this.Grin I went to bed last night with the thread on p3, it was at p10 when l switched back on, now it‘s at p19. I think l‘ll never catch up. Sad

Something has occurred to me though. If Eddie went to Grange Farm after he heard from Willyum, and picked up Nic‘s children and Clarrie and Joe, where were Ed n Emmur n George. And Keira. Weren‘t they all in GF - maybe they were all asleep and Eddie decided not to disturb them? I did hear him say he wasn’t sure if he should tell them. That was at the hospital, presumably in the early hours.

The night Matt was hit, l think it was Will who told Nic Poppy was unwell and crying for her. I assumed Nic was heeading back home when she left the Bull. Of course, whether she passed Matt on the road/saw anyone else, would depend on what map the SWs were using.

MelodyMadeline · 25/02/2018 00:29

Hi all, been constantly playing catch up on the threads and the eps since my latest Lo was born, but what a time to make catch up. Confused I think I need a support group, or a hug or a currently contraband stiff drink or 3. I don't come to TA for such harrowing misery. Would actually have preferred 13 minutes of Matt Crawford pusscatting and Lillian, and that makes my toes curl.

BikingBeatrix · 25/02/2018 00:37

Who is the current WM Justice sec? Maybe we could Petition him/her to create a father & daughter prison section so Brine and Alice can share a cell. It would make it all so much easier on JD being able to visit both of them together. Hmm

D3, l think your son‘s friend‘s mum was listening to TA, heard you‘d arrived at 7, thought ‚Sod it, l‘m going to have to invite him in‘, left it as long as she could but thought by sending your son out at 7.12 that you‘d take at least 2 minutes to get into her house. You moved far too fast and both of you missed the ending. Oh dear. Grin

BikingBeatrix · 25/02/2018 00:55

Jings, l‘m losing the will to live here ...... l‘m trying to finish a pair of sleeves, read a few pages, knit a few rows, bladdy bla. TitleGate is actually quite funny from where l am, but it doesn’t make the reading any easier. Northern, l need to tell you you missed moi Freda off the list. Grin Right, l‘m orff.

DadDadDad · 25/02/2018 01:53

Biking - that's a good story, but I don't think it quite fits (given all the details that I didn't bother to put in my post).

In fact, I think what was surprising that this mum didn't seem to be paying much attention to the radio, and quite casually turned it off. Shock I'd much rather she had kept it on and I'd avoided the rather stilted conversation about which schools her children were applying to.

Anyway, the fear that she is a regular on these threads and will appear with her side of the story (and out me) is subsiding... Grin

How old are Jake and Mia? Even the BBC website isn't sure.
