Just LA ; Lizzie was demonstrating how NOT to parent a refuser. You do not mention his dead father, what an insensitive effing idiot.

TheAntiBoop · 09/06/2017 14:08

how old were they when nigel fell to the deepest pits of the earth?

Is Henry 6 now? so they were 11?

ppeatfruit · 09/06/2017 14:13

I don't remember Anti at a sensitive age anyway.

ppeatfruit · 09/06/2017 14:14

Were these threads up and running?

TheAntiBoop · 09/06/2017 14:14

i think old enough to remember him and probably know he wasn't the exam sort!

maybe lizzie watched the mcdonalds ad....

ppeatfruit · 09/06/2017 14:19

Sorry I make a point of not watching that company's ads.! If I can help it!

TheAntiBoop · 09/06/2017 14:21

I don't watch TV solo I only saw it being discussed on here!

Sycamorewindmills · 09/06/2017 14:54

Cecile - this is what I was wondering - is the farm owned by Pat and Tony with an intention to pass it on to their offspring or do they have a company? These details matter to me..

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/06/2017 15:12

I don't think we know. Tom and Helen appear to have voting rights but the legal structure has never been explained, IIRC.

No, the MN threads weren't up and running for Nigel's death leap (and Henry's birth). The BBC messageboard was still going then and was awash with anguish and derision. New Year 2011, marking 60 years of TA. Vanessa Whitburn was still in charge.

MikeUniformMike · 09/06/2017 15:13

Moany, CowPat, Hellin and Tom are partners in the farm.

CeciledeVolanges · 09/06/2017 16:03

I think it's a partnership, in which case the taxation might depend on whether it is partnership property. But I'm not sure...

'Just wanted to say that I gave a wave to Jonny and Freddie on my way to work this morning.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/06/2017 19:06

Grin That was nicely done.

yikesanotherbooboo · 09/06/2017 19:11

Is Susan going to save the village ?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/06/2017 19:20

I meant the opening dialogue, btw.

Re Susan saving the village - well, that depends on a few things. If Justin has been telling the truth not everyone will feel that a small estate incorporating some affordable housing is a problem. Emma in particular might welcome it.

If on the other hand he is lying (which seems highly likely) he will have a fight on his hands. He's also put his relationship with Lilian at risk because she won't take kindly to having been left in the dark about this.

DoctorTwo · 09/06/2017 19:30

"Es are good Es are good, He's Ebeneezer Goode!"

I suppose 17 is as 17 does. It looks like Freddy got lucky with Bonneh, good for them. And good on Johnny, sorry, Johnneh, for giving Freddeh the tent.

Ceto · 09/06/2017 19:54

Loved the opening exchange, I bet they enjoyed doing that.

echt · 09/06/2017 22:37

Another one who loved the opener, as well as its bathetic descent in to the everyday. Spot on Doctor about the "Bonneh". Such an annoying pronunciation..

I wonder what Lizzie has in mind for Freddeh when he gets back, that is unless he fulfils his dream of never leaving the moshpit.

ppeatfruit · 10/06/2017 10:15

Lizzie's hypocrisy knows no bounds, she'll drive Freddie away if she carries on in that hysterical way. (Liliy is going to have hard time left on her own with her loony mother.)

TheAntiBoop · 10/06/2017 10:58

She seems really hands off as a parent and then suddenly freaks out at exam time. If him failing was a surprise to her then she's really not been very good

LillianGish · 10/06/2017 11:11

someone has to inherit the gorilla suit-wearing tendencies So true.
Wondering if it is possible Freddie might just have conceived the new heir to LL - a sort of mish-mash of Lizzie and Roy's festival tryst, Phoebe's birth in a festival tent and Johnny's own conception by John and Sharon?

BertrandRussell · 10/06/2017 11:29

I think something awful's going to happen.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 10/06/2017 11:35

I think something awful's going to happen

To Freddie? And Johnny will be blamed?

That would be an appalling storyline. Two of the nicest characters getting dumped on whilst they bore on with Pip/Tobe/Rex and Lustin.

BertrandRussell · 10/06/2017 12:46

I've just been invited to join a local speedwatch -I am so excited!
