Enjoy!

Can I just offer some Flowers Wine to all the contributors to this thread - especially R4 and who ever it was who took the trouble to go back and listen to the fence moving episode (investment above and beyond the call of duty). I sometimes think this thread is more interesting than TA itself - especially at times like this when I'm sick of the predominant storyline. It's the thread that keeps me listening because I don't want to be left behind and left out - and it's always so civilised too. As you were.

LillianGish · 08/06/2017 17:06

And Pseudo of course - who seemed to appear just as I was posting as if in anticipation Grin

TheAntiBoop · 08/06/2017 17:19

Same here Lillian!!

DadDadDad · 08/06/2017 17:33

Lillian - well said, but can't write that without displaying one of these:

Archers

I always think of it as symbolising the community spirit on these threads, joined by a common irritation love of TA. Smile

(plus I played a part in the creation of Archers so I feel it should be regularly employed).

AuldHeathen · 08/06/2017 18:15

Yes, I remember them talking of adding it to themortgage too, but I prefer to think of them owing lots of dosh for eva and eva. I was just saying to the aged Englishman the other day that I feel so much less gripped by the story lines just now but I need to keep listening so I know what you lot are talking about.Smile

Ceto · 08/06/2017 18:16

I don't think Pip behaved badly with Toby at all. His pride is wounded remember she dumped him, which is why he's so pissed off upset.

Yes, she dumped him, but then seems to have assumed she could keep him on a string, ready to provide her with company whenever she wasn't having a jolly time with her young farmer mates. When he understandably decided he didn't fancy it and wasn't going to carry on being "good friends" she got majorly pissed off and went off and had a strop at Jill.

Sycamorewindmills · 08/06/2017 18:44

Just heard the catch up episode. Tony announcing 'one million pounds'. Well it won't be that much will it. Not sure if corporation tax or capital gains will be payable, but certainly a six figure sum will be taken in taxes.

AuldHeathen · 08/06/2017 18:56

Pip needs a thread on 'l can't possibly be unreasonable'. It would start 'I ditched my dp of 3 amonths and now he's said he doesn't want to be my frwend any more'.

AuldHeathen · 08/06/2017 19:10

Poor dear Freddie. I did that in one of my university finals - though I did stay to write my name and a couple of sentences.

DoctorTwo · 08/06/2017 19:11

Oh dear maybe she's upduffed OMG!

They already used that one with Kirsty refusing wine and we knew she was upduffed.

veryangrybee · 08/06/2017 19:26

Pip refusing wine was virtue signalling that she is far too busy saving the farm to lounge about enjoy herself.

EBearhug · 08/06/2017 19:31

I prefer to think of them owing lots of dosh for eva and eva.

Who on earth is Eva? I thought, before twigging...

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 08/06/2017 19:32

I expect it is virtue signalling but as somebody else pointed out (sorry, can't remember who) she is also living at LL now and having to drive to and from The Bull, so much less chance of drinking.

I did enjoy tonight's episode. Sorry, Elizabeth, but that is just exactly what both you and Nigel would have done at that age - I know, I was listening then!

I was also quite sure that Susan would overhear Tom and delighted to get that right!

How old is Tom. About 8? Hmm

TheAntiBoop · 08/06/2017 20:58

Guess that trip to Canada wasn't so great. Oldtom was selfish and blinkered to his own interests but newtom is unpleasant

veryangrybee · 08/06/2017 21:00

Surely even Tom knows that they should get some advice and think about alternatives. Justin can't be the only property developer in Borsetshire.

TheAntiBoop · 08/06/2017 21:07

Whatever Justin is offering is obviously not the full worth of the land

KingscoteStaff · 08/06/2017 21:17

Susan is a gossip.
DID YOU HEAR THAT AT THE BACK?
She is a nosy person who listens to other people's conversations.
HAVE YOU ALL GOT THAT NOW?
Good.
As you were.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 08/06/2017 21:51

Good old Freddy!

Hope he and Johnny have an amazing time

I know. That cheered me up. I think if I were his mother I could find it in me to forgive him.

Ceto · 08/06/2017 22:06

I don't know, I just find it irritating that Freddy wimped out of his exam. All that hysteria when he was first taken into school made him sound like a 13 year old. I'd have been happier if he'd taken the exam and then got himself off to the IoW.

IAmNotAUserNumber · 09/06/2017 09:31

I very much enjoyed Freddy's SL last night, but I thought the way he was written/acted was OTT. He came across as a bit of a tosser, and I don't want him to be a tosser.

ppeatfruit · 09/06/2017 09:35

Thanks Lilian I like this thread too , it has more thoughtful and intelligent contributors than most of the rest of the threads on Mumsnet (if sometimes a little negative) ! Here's to us ! Flowers
