What do we want?
Realistic storylines!
When do we want them?
As soon as the writers see this!

OP posts:

I thought Pip, Borsetshire's finest cow woman, was top woman at the Single Wicket. I say "top", possibly the only woman. She must be fit though, what with all the bale lifting and shagging she gets up to.

selsigfach · 08/02/2017 19:54

Shit, delete that Olivia, please! I don't want the SW to read it and give her even "mm-ORE" (as Pip would say) airtime.

Imbroglio · 08/02/2017 20:24

Jenny has always compromised. That's why she's still with Brian. And I'm certain Matt was unfaithful - He was with Yvette when he got together with Lilian.

cheminotte · 08/02/2017 20:32

Not heard tonights - has it just occurred to Harrison that women can play cricket too !!!!

TheAntiBoop · 08/02/2017 20:47

Harrison comes across as a right misery guts

And of course pip will be the winning cricketer - does she do anything badly? Oh, yes, she can't act

TheAntiBoop · 08/02/2017 20:54

Brian saying to Jenny basically 'let her have her affair, she's having fun' when he is a serial cheater was odd

Imbroglio · 08/02/2017 21:00

Brian thinks it's ok to cheat and doesn't believe people get really hurt, because Jenny let him get away with it and accepted whatever compromise was offered. She has some very nice jewellery, as well as Ruari.

TheAntiBoop · 08/02/2017 21:07

I still don't think he would say something so crass directly to her though. I'd expect him to not want to really talk about it!

enochroot · 08/02/2017 21:36

Oh yes, the marvellous new cricketing sensation is going to be Pip but I have a sneaky wish that it's Helen so that Henry can see his mother play brilliantly.

Imbroglio · 08/02/2017 22:02

I agree with you, Anti. But it was Jenny who wanted to go to the dinner to cover up Justin's affair. Brian wasn't too keen!

TheAntiBoop · 08/02/2017 22:14

That's true. I don't really buy the way Jenny is acting tbh.

I'm not sure pip is patient enough to play cricket.

BertrandRussell · 08/02/2017 23:08

I absolutely hate Anisha. More than anyone else. Even Toby. Am I supposed to?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 08/02/2017 23:17

Me too. Don't know. Possibly. I think she's going to bankrupt Alastair.

BertrandRussell · 08/02/2017 23:25

Presumably, even in Archersworld, no bank is going to lend them that sort of money? And surely the insurance pay out would have upgraded the stuff

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 08/02/2017 23:36

Presumably Shula and Alastair are of the age where they won't have a mortgage?

No bank in the real world is going to offer a 1/4 of a million unsecured loan.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/02/2017 23:41

Didn't they have to take out a mortgage to cover Alistair's gambling debt or have I misremembered how they dealt with that.

Alleycat1 · 09/02/2017 00:09

Harrison sounded different from usual. Has another actor taken over?

ErrolTheDragon · 09/02/2017 00:18

The the website still shows the same actor - I thought he sounded different too, but like the same actor emphasising an accent more maybe. Perhaps they're trying to make the northerners more easily distinguishable (imo they are anyway but some southerners seem to have difficulty Grin)

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 09/02/2017 00:18

I didn't recognise Harrison. I was wondering why Alan was organising the cricket team.

JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel · 09/02/2017 00:43

I was wondering why Dr Locke was managing the cricket team. ...

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 09/02/2017 01:44

Yes, I detected traces of Dr. Locke too.

Eastpoint · 09/02/2017 06:42

Another who was muddled by Harrison. I listened late last night, might have to try again this morning.

Megatherium · 09/02/2017 07:05

If Pip were on the team, every time they were losing she'd declare that she couldn't cope with it and strop off.

Imbroglio · 09/02/2017 07:56

Surely the button girls must be old enough to play cricket soon?

MrsArthurShappey · 09/02/2017 08:46

God that was a terrible episode. I'm not sure about Anisha either. A few weeks ago I asked Keri on twitter if we're supposed to like Pip, he said 'We just put her out there. Your response is your affair Smile'
