Avoided a non-sweary title.

They do seem to have completely forgotten that Lewis lives at Lower Loxley.

LillianGish · 19/01/2017 08:11

Was just coming on to say Elizabeth was just reminding Jill of how things have really been for the last however many years, but I see TheSilveryPussycat has expressed it so much better. Let's hope Jill can go back to normal now.
Surely the cafe will have to be the one where Stefan met Jenny and David so Lillian can report what she heard to Jenny, Jenny can identify the likely spot and the pair of them can sneak up and listen in before Lillian hands over the evidence to Justin.

Oh Lewis loves a good party choccy Grin

Carol Tegorran is a cat. Doesn't quite belong, rather superior, a bit mysterious.

Toomuchtea · 19/01/2017 09:05

Yes, Carol Tregorran is definitely a cat.

Susan is a Jack Russell. Can be lovely, but often bloody annoying and prone to nipping. And also spends far more time than you'd like chasing stuff (in her case gossip, not rats).

R4 · 19/01/2017 09:33

Kenton is an Old English Sheepdog?

Lizzie's conversation was good on two levels: talking about moving on from first husbands/wives (Lizzie got this parallel) but also talking about teenage transgressions (Lizzie has yet to realise about this parallelGrin).

SingingAvocado · 19/01/2017 10:25

Haha, Silvery – liked your comment. Listened on iPlayer this morning. Lizzie did a great job. And I'm sure Lillian heard it all …
Thanks for the new thread Pseudo.

Anyone else have to google to find out what special relevance Sto Lat might have to a Pole?

I grew up knowing it as a place in Terry Pratchett books. When I was in Poland this summer and people were actually singing it I was really pleased to find out its origin, I had always thought it was just a made up collection of syllables.

redshoeblueshoe · 19/01/2017 11:05

I'm looking forward to the party tonight. Thanks for the new thread Psuedo Archers

Megatherium · 19/01/2017 11:18

Neil's a labrador. Matt's a Rottweiler, possibly mixed in with something else.

ErrolTheDragon · 19/01/2017 12:48

I reckon Neil is more of a good-natured mid-sized mongrel tbh.

Brian is a gundog, obv, maybe a black lab now grey around the chops but still quite smart looking.

Is Pat a corgi, welsh ankle- biter?

Butteredpars1ps · 19/01/2017 13:11

fink I thought it was TP too.

Thinking Brian is a bit too wiley to be a lab?? Maybe a German pointer or some such. We had a Rhodesian Ridgeback once. Completely untrainable, and with a mind of its own. Until it needed us to meet its needs. Bit like Kate really.

ErrolTheDragon · 19/01/2017 13:15

I just didn't know it was anything other than TP! Now I'm wondering what other stuff I've missed - loads I expect.

MrsArthurShappey · 19/01/2017 13:29

And Brian!

Fink · 19/01/2017 13:32

Me too, Errol, when I found out I started wondering whether all the names were significant and it had all gone completely over my head.

PuppetInParadize · 19/01/2017 14:54

I fear it's not just the SWs that have forgotten about Lewis. Lizzie and Frilly have too, and one of the teenage party guests will notice a dreadful smell in one of the far corners of LL. Sad Wouldn't Lewis, if still living, be almost eligible for his telegram from the Queen?

And it's an excellent thread title. I don't know much about makes of dogs, but is anyone in Ambridge a St Bernard? I like St Bernard's so it would have to be someone likeable, perhaps a tall order then.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/01/2017 14:54

I think Lord Vetinari is a nod to the Medicis. That's the only one I can come up with off the top of my head.

Megatherium · 19/01/2017 15:02

Some time ago I tweeted Keri Davies about the desirability of Ed and Emmur discovering the wonders of tax credits, and I've belatedly noticed that he gave it a like. Fingers crossed!

ErrolTheDragon · 19/01/2017 15:03

Leonard of Quirm is kind of obvious.

Alan might be a St Bernard - Apart from the obvious religious link, I imagine him as quite large with a bushy dark beard, and of course he wants to save people.

user1475253854 · 19/01/2017 15:19

Where is Carol Tregorran?

I think Sabrina Thwaite would be a chihuahua. Or maybe a poodle?

Megatherium · 19/01/2017 15:36

Storyline for February 2020: Chipolata is two and a half, Tom has been stepping up to the plate as a father and has matured into a much more sensible man, he and Kirsty have been becoming ever closer but he is nobly sticking by his promise never to propose again. Kirsty has done a 180 degree turn and is now desperate to commit to him for the rest of their lives and is frustrated because he won't say anything. Lightbulb moment! It's leap year, women can propose on 29th February. Happy ever after.

I know they shouldn't do it and it wouldn't be in character unless Tom becomes a living saint, but I really wouldn't put it past the SWs.

Butteredpars1ps · 19/01/2017 16:45

Where is Carol Tregorran? Indeed. Why hasn't she been handing Jill a grip? ignores Cathy's lack of support for Pat

Harvestmoonsobig · 19/01/2017 18:02

What's the Stefan story line about?

ErrolTheDragon · 19/01/2017 18:08

Theres a summary here, harvest

BoreOfWhabylon · 19/01/2017 18:17

Oh well predicted Megatherium! That deserves a Mystic Boreâ„¢ Crystal Ball
