Avoided a non-sweary title.

I knew it! Loitering in the playground!

officerhinrika · 01/02/2017 20:12

It's a pretty odd idea that other kids in the playground wouldn't notice either. Come on Keira, clock something odd then go & share it with your teacher!

BluePheasant · 01/02/2017 20:17

Exactly. Robs been banned from contact with Henry and yet is able to sneak around the school and have secret chats with him. Nope. Just too ridiculous.

spiker · 01/02/2017 20:20

Hello...haven't posted for ages and these threads do trot fast.

I wondered if Knob was going to come over all honourable and give Henry a nice wodge of cash before disappearing for a few years, but, but....why not just put a cheque in the post??

I don't want anybody to be kidnapped or killed or any other melodramatic eastenderish outcomes if you please.

Putthetulipsthere · 01/02/2017 20:23

Gosh hearing Rob's voice tonight really made me jump 😱. I'm really worried about the 'surprise for Mummy'.

And in some village primaries, I can imagine someone of Rob's cunning being able to talk to Henry undetected. DS goes to one with a very large playing field with arable fields next door on two sides. I guess Rob would hang around at playtime for a number of days, until he's sure that no teachers are around.

I loved the scenes with Lilian and Justin 😀

R4 · 01/02/2017 20:25

That's because school didn't recognise him. They thought it was that nice HWMNBN chap.

Vango · 01/02/2017 20:30

I agree put. I think it would be easy enough to catch a child's attention at lunch. The other children might not be aware of the situation either (eg Keira).

enochroot · 01/02/2017 20:43

He must be kipping in his car somewhere.
And he's hanging around so he can snatch both boys.

I couldn't care less about Toby but I am annoyed that the excuse is so lame.

ppeatfruit · 01/02/2017 20:48

!. Wouldn't the school have been warned about Knob?

  1. Why did Tobeee have to give £500 to someone in Brighton ? was it to get Stella an abortion? It was sooooo obvious that he was lying and PIP BELIEVED HIM AGAIN?????
IAmNotAUserNumber · 01/02/2017 21:01

Perhaps Toby has been paying off Stella's drug debts?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 01/02/2017 21:01

What a load of bollocks from Tobes.

IAmNotAUserNumber · 01/02/2017 21:06

Rob's plan could be to go off with Henry and Jack - his comment about having to go away for a long while is to cover the situation where his plan doesn't work and he ends up in prison.
I hope this doesn't have an Eastenders conclusion Sad

IAmNotAUserNumber · 01/02/2017 21:07

Why don't people believe Toby? It sounds credible to me (but probably the sexual r'ship is not as defunct as he made out)

RockNRollNerd · 01/02/2017 21:07

Presumably Rob's surprise is Friday's cliff hanger...

I hope my fellow accountants all cringed at the financing of the vet practice on a flippin overdraft! I wish they'd send one of the SWs on a basic accounting course as they have Brookfield always buying expensive capital stuff on an overdraft extension as well.

PseudoBadger · 01/02/2017 21:25

Think back to how off he was with Pip on Sunday before he dashed off to do the steam cleaning. I thought he was about to leave as there is no friction or excitement now that Jill loves him and Pip is droning on about sofas and curtains.

Stella, by his own admission, has friends and family so why is he the knight in shining armour?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 01/02/2017 21:31

I hope my fellow accountants all cringed at the financing of the vet practice on a flippin overdraft!

Or indeed fellow solicitors, architects, doctors , farmers or anyone else in a business partnership.

RockNRollNerd · 01/02/2017 21:37

True Lass it was partly a reference back to the fact there were a few of us on here who all got hooked on TA when we were training and driving back from clients in the evenings. You're right anyone who runs any kind of business would know it's madness.

OneMoreStepAroundTheBendIGo · 01/02/2017 21:40

A bit of a safeguarding fail on the part of LB school. Should we report to OFSTED?

Cromwell1536 · 01/02/2017 21:41

Been out all night at yoga, so haven't listened yet. Got to catch up on No Offence as well before I get to TA. But....hoping that a teacher will have seen Rob lurking, and Friday will have PC Harrison standing by as Rob attempts to - I assume - snatch Henry. The whole Stefan storyline was brought to a swift end, fingers crossed this will be too. Sounds like I'm not missing much with the Toby-Pip storyline.

My coffee tomorrow morning post school run is going to be enjoyable!

PseudoBadger · 01/02/2017 21:51

It must be a reference to Alistair's risk taking personality

ThatsNotMyToddler · 01/02/2017 21:53

I've just had an epiphany about Pip (ha - an ePIPany, maybe?!). I think she's playing at being in a relationship. She doesn't have the maturity or the patience for it to develop on its own so she's doing what she thinks she's supposed to do. People in long-term serious relationships do attend family members' birthday parties - so Toby had to attend Jill's; and loaning your loved and trusted partner £5k to start a business would be reasonable if you'd been together more than three weeks; and of course you talk about new curtains and redecorating - if you're not talking to someone who sounds like he'd rather be anywhere else. These are things that she's heard of other people doing.

I think she's just lost (and bloody annoying). And desperate to be in a serious relationship - hence the serial monogamy that we've been forced to witness.

Agree Ruth is vile.

Agree also that this was a massive safeguarding fail - although I bet no one has told LB primary that Rob is 'missing' presumed hiding behind a bush. The SWs are really showing social services as a dud in this storyline.

And I also was amused by Lil being literally fur coat and no knickers. Bit parky out for a jaunt in a negligee and wellies!!

enochroot · 01/02/2017 22:52

I don't think my blood pressure can take tomorrow night's cliff hanger.

DadDadDad · 01/02/2017 22:59

viques: I knew it -though I didn't say anything to anyone at the time - as soon as there was that little throw away remark last week about Henry not sleeping I just knew Rob was messing with his little head.Sadly doesn't say much for the Loxley Barrett safeguarding that they failed to spot an unkempt man repeatedly talking to a pupil while lurking in the bushes outside the playground.

Well, hats off to you. I didn't get that although I did say this last week:

I thought Henry being unsettled was explained as him picking up on Helen being anxious, as a way of setting the scene that Rob's disappearance was disturbing her, forcing Lil to share the truth. I feel if Rob had contacted Henry we would have got some hint, such as Rob being seen at the school.

So, he has been lurking at the school (Rob alluded to previous conversations with Henry), but those naughty SW have just not been telling us. Shock

ErrolTheDragon · 01/02/2017 23:18

Hopefully Henry will inadvertently alert Helen somehow - she still doesn't really believe Rob has gone - and the 'surprise' will not work out quite as planned.

I don't like Justin, but I can forgive him much for helping to restore Lill's dirty laugh.

As for Tobes... hmm, I suppose it fits with what Rex told Pip.Hmm To misquote and mix resorts, bugger Brighton.
