I've just browsed Lowfield for the first time - they really don't like Pat do they!

I think Pip's attractiveness is also related to supply and demand.

There's Pip and there's Kirsty. Other than that it's Kate, Lily and the Button girls. There are no single women.

Kirsty. Every time. But no, for some reason it is Pip...Kirsty's scant knowledge of grazing patterns rules her out as a romantic prospect.

ArgyMargy · 10/06/2016 15:40

I will not countenance Pip getting pregnant - if anyone knows how to make or prevent babies surely it's her? Mind you she does manage to come across as totally daft most of the time.

MrsArthurShappey · 10/06/2016 15:42

Pip has acres of promise...

Ha!

GypsyFl0ss · 10/06/2016 16:11

Grin Gruach

BYOSnowman · 10/06/2016 16:39

Kirsty is in her early 30's and pip in her early 20's I thought?

Can't imagine the same men would be interested in them or they interested in the same men (Toby being the exception because he seems to be interested in anyone with a pulse)

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 10/06/2016 17:22

I included Kirsty because she is ypunger than Kate who appears to be fair game and also because she is the only other single female over 18 and under 40.

Where are her friends? Her classmates?

Oh I suppose thete is Feebs but she is locked in her room with a revision timetable.

nippiesweetie · 10/06/2016 18:27

Gasp0de Nelson Gabriel was just the best Archer's character ever. Either the sws loved him too and never gave him duff scripts, or Jack May was so good anything duff wasn't noticeable.

EBearhug · 10/06/2016 19:18

Well, we knew Bert & Lynda wold make up and pull together in the end.

Josh is going to totally fail his exams, isn't he?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 10/06/2016 19:21

nippiesweetie, spot on!

Well, shoot me down in flames, but that was a lovely episode. I like Bert and I'm always delighted to hear him. I remember Keri Davies commenting that Bert is one of his favourites so I'm never surprised to hear Bert in a KD week.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 10/06/2016 19:23

EBearhug, I certainly hope so! He appears to do no work at all. Mystic Gasp predicts that on results day Phoebe will get all A*s and a commendation from the Exam Board (plus a confirmed place at Oxford) while Josh is advised that there is no point in even looking at Clearing.

GypsyFl0ss · 10/06/2016 20:06

Josh will become the poster boy for apprenticeships.

Gruach · 10/06/2016 20:13

Another one - after Jamie and Christopher?

I'm not sure Josh needs any more education (though he may be forced into it?). He's clearly heading for his first trillion before he's 20. In fact the only possible interest remaining in Brookfield will be hearing just how bloody the sibling rivalry becomes.

AugustaFinkNottle · 10/06/2016 20:20

Are Frilly 16 now? Surely it's a matter of time before they're recast by another Troughton, Imrie or Williams and emerge with a crisis storyline about their sixth form placement and their first boyfriend/girlfriend?

BYOSnowman · 10/06/2016 21:42

Going back a few steps

I look forward to a dramatic scene involving Rob, Robert and Bert and someone having to describe it down the phone. Now that would get confusing!

Is Bert a Bertrand?

BYOSnowman · 10/06/2016 21:43

And on names

Surely Toby and Rex should be 5? They don't strike me as names of 20 somethings

And I struggle to believe Toby was convinced to help out in Lynda's garden

LowDudgeon · 10/06/2016 22:00

Bert will be Albert or Herbert or Cuthbert or some other Thing-Bert

if Robert, someone his age would be Bob Smile

LowDudgeon · 10/06/2016 22:02

Dilbert, Egbert, Gilbert, Norbert...

BitOutOfPractice · 10/06/2016 22:04

I've said before that Toby and Rex are badly named.

Toby is a solid, dependable name and the character is a flake

Rex is a rather rakish, racy name and he's the reliable character

Wrong wrong wrongity wrong

HumphreyCobblers · 10/06/2016 22:06

Toby and Rex were my shortlist for ds2.

BertrandRussell · 10/06/2016 22:07

"Josh is going to totally fail his exams, isn't he?"

No- he's going to, very irritatingly for us parents of teenage Archer fans, ace them.

BertrandRussell · 10/06/2016 22:08

Bert is an Albert.

And I so agree about Toby and Rex having the wrong names!

BYOSnowman · 10/06/2016 22:13

Yes they are the wrong way round. And belong to under tens

Little hint for the new ed - when naming characters it is best to look at the baby name lists from the years they were born not the year you made them up

mummytime · 10/06/2016 22:41

I know several early 20 year old Tobys, no Rexs though.

EBearhug · 10/06/2016 22:46

he's going to, very irritatingly for us parents of teenage Archer fans, ace them.

That is my fear. It's going to be one extreme or t'other.

I was about to say I know at least two Tobys my age. Then I remembered we're mid-forties now, not twenties. But it's nearly the same...

BYOSnowman · 10/06/2016 22:47

I am surprised! I don't know any over 10!

Still not sure how old they are supposed to be - shouldn't Rex have been born mid eighties if his mum was pregnant at the time of lizzies affair? Or have I got that totally wrong time wise?
