I've just browsed Lowfield for the first time - they really don't like Pat do they!

OP posts:
SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 09/06/2016 07:17

Oh yes, can I just remind everyone of this horror last night: 'I thought we were Homies!' Confused

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/06/2016 07:23

Definitely nothing to do with HWMNBN. She was there for years and years, silently stocking the shelves and featuring in Helen's rotas. Rob had his knife into her as he did Kirsty, because she was someone Helen knew well, saw regularly and was close to, and that wouldn't do.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/06/2016 07:26

Gosh, reading that back, I've just spotted a super-clunky connection there (well up to SOC standards) - in the end, it was Helen who had her knife into Knob. Badum tish!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/06/2016 07:32

Seek, I spotted that. I sometimes come out with words like that to annoy my children (who are in their early 20s). It never fails to generate a bit of eye rolling. If we wanted to be charitable, we could assume that Keri Davies wrote that bit of dialogue with the intention of making Toby look like a prat. A less charitable interpretation is that Keri thinks it makes him (Keri) sound as if he is down with the kids. His other job is (or was) being a DJ. He must be at least 50 now.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 09/06/2016 08:58

Was Anya the one that Rob had Helen sack because she was 'incompetent'?

Was it Rob's favourite trick of overstocking again?
Who was the one that Rob hired? What happened to her?

Was she there at the same time as Kirsty or only after Kirsty left?

And whenare they going to sack Rob? When?

Although I am quite looking forwards to ascene (like the birth registering) where he says he is coming back to work, they say they are sacking him and he realises he cannot stop them.

AugustaFinkNottle · 09/06/2016 09:02

The way PatnTone are being written at the moment, I wouldn't put it past them to let Knob start working in the shop again.

KittiesInsane · 09/06/2016 09:08

Of course they'll let him. They don't seem to realise that they can just not do what he says.

Maybe when the penny drops and they stop drinking the special tea they'll twig that that is exactly what happened to Helen?

mummytime · 09/06/2016 09:09

I am hoping Susan finds evidence of Rob's dodgy behaviour in her management review (and does just order green tabards).
I'm also hoping Anya will be someone to give evidence of Rob's earliest interference.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 09/06/2016 09:17

Just been checking Lowfield. It was Tina that Knob hired wasn't it? So that was post Anya? Or did Anya wirk there at same time?

The Lowfield era was round about Tony's accident when Pat started to think Rob was wonderfully helpful but actually he was ordering feed potatoes for grass fed cows, selling Tony's cattle without askingShock and ordering in Simmentals.

Trying to take Henry hunting.

And also asking Helen to text him before she went anywhere so he wouldn't worry.

Also interestingly he offered to have a prenatal paternity test when Jess turned up. Odd that when he spent so long refusing a post natal one (although not inconsistemt with being a total dick)

EBearhug · 09/06/2016 09:40

Anya used to be a silent in the shop. Just a random Borchester resident, I think.

Here's Lowfield for Friday 13th February 2015:
Tina has walked out of the shop, stating 'it's too stressful' and has left the keys with Anya.

Gumpendorf · 09/06/2016 10:13

Susan totally saved another dire episode last night. Her conversation with Pat was perfect.

Maybe the new editor will have second thoughts about Pip and a Fairbrother at Brookfield and quickly drop TRex. [Hopeful face emoticon]

BitOutOfPractice · 09/06/2016 10:56

Sorry it was me who caused the Anya / Anna confusion and resurrected memories on HWSNBN. He did have a daughter called Anna didn't he?

JessieMcJessie · 09/06/2016 11:20

Yep. She would fight with sister Rosa as they were too old to share a room and that was one reason why Ilona wanted to live at No 1 the Green. She was said to be very musical and appeared in one of Lynda's shows playing the guitar or something. Always a silent though.

I imagined Ana one "n" due to being half Albanian.

JessieMcJessie · 09/06/2016 11:21

On name confusion we'll now have Anna Tregorran and Anya Ambridge Organica potentially interacting...

LowDudgeon · 09/06/2016 11:44

I am liking the idea of Anya & Susan (both objects of his derision?) conspiring to expose him...

LillianGish · 09/06/2016 11:59

I can already hear the contempt in his voice when he is exposed by evidence unearthed by Susan. "Susan Carter? What does she know? The woman's been in prison for God's sake - you can't believe a word she says. It was thanks to her negligence that poor Henry burned his hand at the bonfire."
Or "Anya's back? You've got to be joking. If you want evidence of incompetence look no further."

KittiesInsane · 09/06/2016 12:03

Careful, Lilian. I think the scriptwriters read these threads and think 'Damn. That's what I was going to make him say/do. But now I'll have to change it all and make it excitingly unpredictable.'

We need a Campaign for Real Archers.

MrsArthurShappey · 09/06/2016 12:56

You know who'd soon sort everyone at Bridge Farm out? Anthea!

BoreOfWhabylon · 09/06/2016 13:13

YY MrsAS - I loved Anthea

And do you know who could help her?

Hannah the Pig Girl - I loved her too!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/06/2016 13:34

What about Maurice? He is still around, isn't he? I like him a lot.

BoreOfWhabylon · 09/06/2016 13:42

Anthea and Maurice were made for each other!

redshoeblueshoe · 09/06/2016 13:45

Campaign for Real Archers Hmm now what could we call that

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 09/06/2016 17:17

I loved Anthea too

enochroot · 09/06/2016 18:08

Radio 4 seems to be featuring a story of a sperm donor seeking access to his child.
Maybe Henry's biological father is going to make an appearance Grin

BYOSnowman · 09/06/2016 18:23

Maybe he will be the prosecution barrister and he and Helen will fall in love and give Henry a 'proper' family
