New thread for tonight's episode.

Do you like the decor then? My 'personal' assistant did it.

Very interesting and sad article. Thanks, drspouse.

Gumpendorf · 28/04/2016 11:17

nicked of the Maxine Peake thing

There are a few clips on YT and they are so similar, right down to a reference to custard.

BYOSnowman · 28/04/2016 11:20

Soc is not creative he is derivative. Worst thing is that he thinks he is being clever!!

DadDadDad · 28/04/2016 11:21

Sorry, BadDoGooder, I don't know my own strength. But welcome to the thread - hope you feel a bit better letting out your frustration.

Gumpendorf · 28/04/2016 11:37

How do we know Louisa Patikas is pregnant? There is an article from 2010 saying she was pregnant at the time Helen was expecting Henry but I haven't seen anything more recently.

Gumpendorf · 28/04/2016 11:40

Soc is not creative he is derivative. Worst thing is that he thinks he is being clever!!

Spot on. I'm appalled the BBC have indulged him to this extent. His need for self publicity has been embarrassing.

R4 · 28/04/2016 11:53

Oh. Have I made up Louisa's DC3? That could explain why I couldn't find a reference.Blush I could have sworn she was pregnant.[blush some more]

MrsKwazii · 28/04/2016 12:18

I am interested in the fairy ring and Dower House redecorating - am blocking out the rest this week so far. Unrelenting misery, frustrating characters and just, just, just ..... nnnggggghhaaaa!

Vango · 28/04/2016 12:37

I have logged on to say that for the first time ever I walked out of the kitchen when the court hearing started last night and I have absolutely NO desire to hear that episode, either this afternoon or on Sunday. I can't even begin to articulate how disappointed I feel. I'm feeling bereft. I can't focus on any other storyline, yet I can't bear the thought of any more suffering on the part of the BF Archers. I am genuinely sad.

Gumpendorf · 28/04/2016 12:41

R4. It was a genuine question from me. I don't know either way.

Someone on the last thread said LP is on maternity leave but that Telegraph article is from March and doesn't mention her being pregnant (two DC aged 5 and 6), so I wonder if someone's got a wire crossed with Helen being pregnant.

This is going to be another of those "myths" / theories that pops up here from time to time like Rob faking the paternity test Hmm.

By the way, Helen is at 37 weeks now.

PrincessFiorimonde · 28/04/2016 13:07

Thanks for the new thread, Pseudo.

I'm really hoping for more on the fairy grotto tonight. Or anything*, really, as a break from Helen and Rob.

*Though I suppose I'd better be careful what I wish for!

-Corrie-thread-How-many-more-implausible-plots-until-the-new-person-takes-over-NO-SPOILERS-PLEASE

Just saw the thread title for the corrie thread and thought they could have been talking about the archers and dear old soc!

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 28/04/2016 14:33

That article is heart breaking. I'd never really thought, either about the need to expose the babies to supermarkets and car seats etc.

I suppose we'll be hearing all about it ehen Helen ends up in one.

Pooka · 28/04/2016 14:37

Well I haven't listened now since it all kicked off with the knife. For the first time ever I actively turn the radio off while it's on. I can't bear the inaccuracies and generally the plain rubbish way it's all been dealt with. A lost opportunity. If anything good happens, then maybe I'll start listening. But at the moment I find it all too nauseating.

AuldAlliance · 28/04/2016 15:03

Have been shaken from the boughs of the lurkers' tree...

This SL is poorly written, illogical and does a complete disservice to women who are victims of this type of abuse. I think it's outrageous and cynical of SOC to claim it could in any way highlight the issue in a positive manner.

I've been listening to TA for about 22yrs, despite living abroad for most of that, and I am really sad that such a good programme has been irremediably trashed in so short a time by a misogynistic philistine who is now leaving other peoples' painstakingly crafted work in tatters and moving on to make more money elsewhere.

Bet you wish I'd not delurked, eh?

I'm hoping its Burt making the fairy grottos.

Thanks for new thread 🐃

AugustaFinkNottle · 28/04/2016 15:14

They weren't solicitors doing the hearing, were they?

Vango · 28/04/2016 15:35

Did I sense that Arsula is getting sniffy about money? She's probably realised that Rob has no visible means of support so she and Bruce will have to support him and Henry.
Or does she intend to sue for costs?

redshoeblueshoe · 28/04/2016 16:45

Pat'n'Tone need to think outside the box. They should sack Helen for unreasonable behaviour, I doubt Rob has a contract, so they don't need to pay him.
