What's Peggy going to do? Didn't they say that the bail decision was not appeal-able; it can only be revisited if conditions change. I'm guessing that they are going to focus on the MH diagnosis (lack thereof).
Is Peggy implying that Anna didn't do her job properly. Will she replace her. How will that play with Carol, it could cause frosty relationships in the village.

Grumpy Pat went to wail at Peggy yesterday so Peggy went to mull things over with JD today. Peggy thinks it is unconscionable for someone who is just about to pop to be in jail (note: not only special snowflake Helen, but anyone). Peggy is going to Do Something About It. JD agreed that it was awful that Pat couldn't see Helen; she said something along the lines of 'you need your mum at times like these' - I think it was the closest mother/daughter comment I've heard from those two!
JD mentioned (in a SW's-hint sort of way) that Helen's mental state has always been a bit fragile.

I have no idea what on earth Peggy could possibly do to get Helen out on bail but I hadn't realised until the Night of the Custard that she lived so near to BH Cottage.
I wonder if she has been noticing more about what went on there than she has previously let on.

I did a fave at Peggy last night admonishing JD for gossiping, or rather "dwelling on all that" was it? Like Peggy can talk, gossip is her life blood!
