New thread for tonight's episode.

Do you like the decor then? My 'personal' assistant did it.

"He deserves it" that's a bit strong Vaara.

EasyToEatTiger · 27/04/2016 20:40

It'll all come out in the wash.... One day.... Fingers, legs, eyes, ears and everything else we have 2 of, crossed. Even my dad's behaviour is coming out in the wash. When I say I do not expect to be believed, already to these people I do not exist and I have no voice. I am just The Mad One. If only I could just be mad enough to commit suicide. Then they would all be right. I think Helen is in a very bad place. All this BF, Arsula/Rob stuff is a sideshow. I am tired of all this bletting around. Go SOC, go.....

BoreOfWhabylon · 27/04/2016 20:44

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FAIRY GROTTO?!?

And thanks, as always, Pseudo

Vaara · 27/04/2016 20:46

Urgh he's so bloody wet. And they have heard Kirsty's story and still appear to be fannying about. Where's the anger? Where's the sense of justice?

It's just whine whine whine

VinceNoirLovesHowardMoon · 27/04/2016 20:52

It's so distressingly awful and Helen is
Frustrating and unlistenable. I hate this storyline.

BeauGlacons · 27/04/2016 20:55

Might this be enough to stop Helen sleepwalking into a life term.

Thank you for thread.

IonaMumsnet · 27/04/2016 21:13

Thank you for the thread! I am currently trying to 'get into' The Archers so am following avidly. Victoria Wood might just be my way in! Thanks Elgar!

cheminotte · 27/04/2016 21:42

Thanks for the new thread Pseudo

drspouse · 27/04/2016 21:48

Need to catch up but place marking anyway.

bilbodog · 27/04/2016 22:06

Thanks pseudo ... And place marking.

NotdeadyetBOING · 27/04/2016 22:23

Many thanks for new thread, Pseudo. Finding the yellow chair surprisingly comfy….

Stickerrocks · 27/04/2016 22:25

Hello Iona. I thought you were President Olivia for a moment.

Gherkinsmummy · 27/04/2016 22:34

Thank you for the new thread! If Helen really can't remember wouldn't it make sense for Anna to go for diminished responsibility?

elephantoverthehill · 27/04/2016 22:35

I thought the chair was 'bronze' coloured.

Gumpendorf · 27/04/2016 22:35

Thanks for the thread pseudo Cake

Tonight's episode was a waste of time. The court outcome was inevitable as Rob has PR. It could have been reported with more reactions in a fraction of the time. Johnny missing college to help out could just have been mentioned too. Tsk!

NotdeadyetBOING · 27/04/2016 22:38

Sort of a mustardy gold ,I'd say….

elephantoverthehill · 27/04/2016 22:44

Ah! perhaps a shade of nicotine then.

HalsallRedux · 27/04/2016 22:48

Weirdly, the Jess actress was playing a solicitor in tonight's Scott & Bailey...I thought I recognised her dulcet tones Hmm

Greengager · 27/04/2016 22:49

Thanks for the thread. So angry about Henry. Surely if he can't see Helen because she might influence him then rib shouldn't be allowed to either.

Eastpoint · 27/04/2016 22:54

Thank you Pseudo for the new thread.

I'm just listening to the Victoria Wood episodes. I'm enjoying them so much, thank you to all those who linked to them. What a pity she wasn't made the editor, she clearly knew what she was doing.

elephantoverthehill · 27/04/2016 22:58

I thought that too Greengager. I apologise to Psuedo for not thanking about the thread earlier.

LillianGish · 27/04/2016 23:11

I suppose there had to be a point to the parental responsibility otherwise why bother writing it in in the first place. Is it intended to make people think twice about awarding it? I remember there were lots of grim warnings on here at the time. Seems very harsh when in position of the full facts, but judge can only go on what he/ she is told as others have pointed out.

BertrandRussell · 27/04/2016 23:16

"Thanks for the thread. So angry about Henry. Surely if he can't see Helen because she might influence him then rib shouldn't be allowed to either."

Why not? Rob hasn't been charged with anything. He is the innocent victim of a completely unprovoked attack. Why wouldn't he be allowed to see his step son- for whom he has parental responsibility agreed by his mother?

AugustaFinkNottle · 27/04/2016 23:51

I really hope AT is a better barrister than came across in that episode.

The poor woman can't make bricks without straw. No-one has lifted a finger to produce any evidence that Rob is an abusive arsehole, and with him having parental responsibility there's not much she could do legally. I supposed getting visits one day a week is a victory of sorts, as there's no way Rob would have offered that voluntarily.

SushiAndTheBanshees · 28/04/2016 02:05

Re-de-lurking to say that I want to garrote Pat and Tony. They are so f**king useless, frankly it's a miracle they're still alive. And Helen. What the hell is going on in her head??? If hearing that Rob and Ursula have got Henry doesn't shock her into getting a grip and answering her brief's questions, I'm off.

I'm in such a huff now. Going to lurk again.
