New thread for tonight's episode.

Do you like the decor then? My 'personal' assistant did it.

I'm planning to make one of these for my great nephews......

So there is still scope for George to be hiding the missing biscuit tin of cash in a fairy grotto built by Ed then. Emma simply hasn't noticed the bright red Family Circle tin behind the teeny weeny doorway.

BertrandRussell · 10/05/2016 09:48

Actually, that's something lose that irritates me- Alan leaving the money where it could get so easily pinched. He just wouldn't have done that- leading people Into the occasion of sin and so on.

PseudoBadger · 10/05/2016 09:52

Title ideas? Something around 'even good SWs can do terrible things' perhaps?

When Pat was talking about the wonderful opportunity to give the police their side of the story, she said she'd been remembering lots of things indicating emotional abuse, e.g. the joint account. I wondered at the time why she didn't just write it all down and give it to Dominic, but she seems to have been so busy moaning subsequently that there's no indication that she's done that. She could easily channel it through Tony so she's not in direct contact.

Vango · 10/05/2016 09:57

What about 'The Tragedy of The Archers: Who's to blame?"

Are we talking about SWs v SOC or are we talking about Helen v Rob Wink

See what I did there? Grin

New title:

Who lives in the Millennium Wood grotto? - the Ambridge legal fairy, the housing fairy or the financial fairy.

R4 · 10/05/2016 10:07

I know that we all hate Peggy but did I gather a hint yesterday that she and her piggybank are going to gird their loins and save Bridge Farm?
She will, no doubt, be pleased to be proved right in her original estimation: that Tone and his tribe are useless.

Vango · 10/05/2016 10:23

R4 I think the opposite, to your first paragraph, re. Peggy. If she'd been able to choose a son, she'd choose Rob over Tony any day. R's done a good job grooming her. I reckon Peggy's going to tell Pat and Tony exactly what she thinks of them as parents. It's all going to be their fault. Helen's spoiled. Over-indulged. Allowed to do what she likes, when she likes. Peggy's been holding back, until yesterday. That's my prediction!

EasyToEatTiger · 10/05/2016 11:01

It's the Peggy-bank!!! Sorry...

Gruach · 10/05/2016 11:28

Amazing character statistics for April from Dumteedum. Beware, photo of bloody knife!

Can it really be true that neither Nic nor Will has appeared this year?Shock

Gruach · 10/05/2016 11:30

I was certain Will had turned up to welcome Alf?

redshoeblueshoe · 10/05/2016 11:57

Betrand - I was looking at the exact same fairy houses, I fancy making one as well Grin

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 10/05/2016 12:05

Checking in.

I've stopped listening but I have heard a few bits while the radio was on. Mostly Rob grooming Henry which is endorsing my decision to switch off (see also Patbot's useless wailing and fuckwittery). But then there was Lilntonic, Justin (another personality transplant from evil capitalist to man-pet) and Miranda shenanigans plus Jim and Jazza which I really enjoyed.

Grr. If Bridge Farm and Bloody Hell Cottage and all associated people disappeared off into Radio 4 Extra a different dimension I wouldn't mind a bit.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 10/05/2016 12:06

I like the fairy house too. We're making one for the garden and also painting bit stones to look like a mini village.

Abraid2 · 10/05/2016 12:15

Does anyone miss Will?!

Gruach · 10/05/2016 12:25

I miss his interaction with the rest of his family, yes. And his working life has always made interesting listening - I like hearing about the seasonal cycle of the Home Farm shoot through him. And he's quite an abrasive voice around the village - likely to have a different opinion to more wishy washy residents on any given subject.

But what I resent most is that an entire, and important household has effectively been excised from TA. Will and Nic growing into married life with a blended family ought to have been a focus for general interest. It's annoying.

Toomuchtea · 10/05/2016 12:40

Will and Nic effectively vanished once the Great Grundy SiblingWar was sorted out.

I agree, Gruach that it's a huge pity they're not around. Maybe they'll be dusted off again when the Grundys face their next housing crisis.

Vango · 10/05/2016 13:09

I miss Will! And I especially miss the Grundy family relationships. The tensions and the warmth. I also miss Chris and Alice, and the accompanying Susan/Jennifer storyline. And the Matt/Lil/Brian/Jenny drinks and dinners. The list is too long.

But I'll go out on a limb and say I can live without the re-introduction of Charlie and his meddling with Adam and Ian's relationship. I know Adam's at fault but Ian loves him and I love Ian so C can stay away.

I love a bit of comedy drama from time to time and quite frankly, Eddie and the Shepherd Hut isn't cutting it for me right now Grin.

BYOSnowman · 10/05/2016 13:10

I miss will and we fighting

I miss Kenton and David fighting

I miss heatherpet

That is how bad I am finding it all now

BYOSnowman · 10/05/2016 13:11

I'm even beginning to miss the comedy kitchen

AugustaFinkNottle · 10/05/2016 13:15

Got to admit I didn't enjoy the Jim and Jazzer birdwatching stuff, but that was mostly because I was getting even more irritated with Jazzer than Jim was. It seems to be a general soap tradition to have people rabbiting and paying no attention when someone is trying to tell them something important or just needs them to keep quiet. I may be lucky, but I'm glad to say it's not something I encounter in RL.

AugustaFinkNottle · 10/05/2016 13:17

Talking of fairies, the Ambridge medical fairy seems to be strangely absent when it comes to Rob. It's more than a months since The Incident, but he's still sitting around being delicate and keeping Henry away from the bit where Daddy's sore. Had that been anyone else they'd probably be putting a full day's work in on the farm by now.

AugustaFinkNottle · 10/05/2016 13:20

I wouldn't mind so much missing out on some of the other general interaction if it were solely down to the time being given to KnobHel. What I really resent is that it's been pushed to the side by the nonsensical tedium of Rex'n'Toby.

JessieMcJessie · 10/05/2016 14:42

What was all that nonsense about Eddie and Joe suddenly being excited to go to Ambridge Hall when Linda was out? I got the sense that Joe was keen to lounge about their lovely house/garden- I can see the attraction when living at Keeper's, but why would he care now that they are living at Grange farm? And is there going to be some sort of disaster with this mushroom stuff he is planning to spread on her plants without asking her first.

Also, why in God's name have the Grundies not been using their time at GF to work out a plan for where they are going to live next? With any luck Usha will evict Rob and they can move to Blossom Hill with its three lovely bedrooms.
