New thread for tonight's episode.

Do you like the decor then? My 'personal' assistant did it.

Just when you think things can't possibly get any worse!

Boomingmarvellous · 03/05/2016 19:18

Hellin needs to know knob has henwee not think Pat is at home babysitting him.

Bimblepops · 03/05/2016 19:21

Pat is so sodding stupid..."remember what Tom said about not saying anything without the solicitor present", "oh I'll be fine, I'm sure it'll all be straightforward and I'll be a great help". Then "oh Tony, it's terrible, I've ruined everything". Absolute idiot.

TA is infuriating

BeauGlacons · 03/05/2016 19:22

Yes, Pat the turnip. Do the police not have to set out the position though. Is this not a lapse in procedure?

ColdTeaAgain · 03/05/2016 19:23

Yes Helen needs to know exactly how bad things are, she has to fight for Henry. Tony will make a right balls up of the visit.

Poor Lillian, hope Justin isn't going to let Miranda treat her like dirt Sad

GrumpyOldBag · 03/05/2016 19:24

Helen knows that Rob has won custody of Henry already.

MangoUnchained · 03/05/2016 19:26

Pat n' Tone (or "panetone" as I like to call them) are getting more and more infuriating by the day with their ridiculous ideas. Pat is becoming more of a liability than fucking Mr Blobby...I mean, whats next..is she going to accidentally drop Henwee in a vat of wallpaper paste and in the process of rescuing him, slips up on a banana peel and falls into the meat slicer?? Bloody hell fire.

Northernlurker · 03/05/2016 19:26

Anna can't stand up in court and ask the judge to refuse pats evidence because it's on the wrong side. The police have collected evidence. End of discussion. There is no way at all pat would have been so dim. Very bad writing.

Greengager · 03/05/2016 19:28

Pat wtf! Why are they writing her as if she was as thick as a brick milkshake?

prettywhiteguitar · 03/05/2016 19:29

Just a total farce I'm actually glad all this shit is happening to them as they are so fucking clueless

It's really aggravating to listen to

prettywhiteguitar · 03/05/2016 19:30

Just ridiculous that Tom and Kirsty haven't been doing anything either

Thymeout · 03/05/2016 19:31

Yes - she should have taken Dominic with her, but can't see how she could have avoided ending up as a prosecution witness. Ursula has made a statement referring to the Maundy Thurs outburst. The police want Pat to confirm it. Surely she can't refuse to answer or lie?

If she said 'No comment', could she not be subpoenaed to give evidence? (Or is that American?) She couldn't refuse to answer the question in court.

BoreOfWhabylon · 03/05/2016 19:35

Joanna Toye is the sw this week - she's been around long enough to know better.

SOC is determined to have Hells with no one on her side, isn't he? Expect Moany and Sausageboy will have an accident on the way to visit her next.

Marchate · 03/05/2016 19:35

A family that has previously been involved in court cases - Tom trashing the GM crop, the drunk driving non-incident - would not be so naive

Bea · 03/05/2016 19:35

Ha! Ha! Ha! It's just turning to farce now!!!

Pat! You silly cow!!!!!

Alleycat1 · 03/05/2016 19:38

Exactly Bea, the SWs are treating us like fools!

YesterdayOnceMore · 03/05/2016 19:40

Nonsense!

Who goes to the police against their solicitors advice and without informing them (for no apparent reason!) and then immediately they get out of the police station phones their solicitor to tell them what they have just done?

I mean, come on! That's just ridiculous.

HalsallRedux · 03/05/2016 19:52

I knew you lot would be on here, hyperventilating.

I haven't even got the energy to get angry. It's even more ridiculous than the Great Move North SL.

They haven't just jumped the shark, they're pirouetting round it on sodding roller-skates.

peppansalt · 03/05/2016 19:59

Uuurgh can't bear to listen to Pat's wailing and chest-beating

BertrandRussell · 03/05/2016 20:00

Pat seemed to be saying that she had become a prosecution witness because she talked to the police. Surely she would have been one anyway because she was a witness to the "I'll kill him" incident? I wonder if she remembered she said "it's always bloody Rob" as well.

EmilyDickinson · 03/05/2016 20:01

I agree thymeout, Pat was always going to be called as a prosecution witness as she heard Helen threaten to kill Rob. There was no way that that wasn't going to come out as Ursula heard it too. What puzzles me is that Anna doesn't seem to have pointed out to Pat that she was 1) likely to be interviewed by the police and 2) called as a prosecution witness. Surely Anna must know about Helen threatening to kill Rob? Pat has told her that hasn't she?

DadDadDad · 03/05/2016 20:05

Pat and Tony should adopt Kirsty...
...thick as a brick milkshake...
...pirouetting around the shark on roller skates...

I know you lot are cross, but you've also made me laugh out loud! Grin

Thymeout · 03/05/2016 20:12

I think possibly Anna didn't know. Helen's hardly speaking and Pat may not have mentioned Ursula coming to the farm to tell them she'd made a statement because she'd dismissed it as ridiculous to think H meant it.

AugustaFinkNottle · 03/05/2016 20:15

I've got vague recollections of Pat being there when Arsula told the police about the "I'll kill him" threat and she didn't deny that Helen said it. Am I imagining it?

One plus about Pat being a prosecution witness - Anna is allowed to ask her leading questions when she cross examines which could be used to the Defence's advantage.

I think there may be a distinct advantage in Tom seeing Helen instead of Patbot. Pat would use the entire visit wittering, whereas if Kirsty sorts Tom out properly he might metaphorically slap her into doing something to defend herself.

Boomingmarvellous · 03/05/2016 20:22

If I hear pat wailing at her own stupidity again the radio is out the window. She may be a witness for the prosecution but she should have co tasted the solicitor first regardless who would have at least explained the situation.

It doesn't matter what colour witness she is the prosecuting and the defending barrister will still ask her the relevant questions to build their case. And I believe Anna can recall her when she is mounting hellins defence? Or is that just in America? Recalling witnesses to the stand?

Not that it matters but it may be that as the defence is heard second it sticks more in the juries minds.
