Rob - dead? No, no, he's, er, resting. He's just pining for the Canadian plains. As Helen is taken into custardy, discuss the Archers here.

Henry was supremely unbothered to see Mummy Dearest bundled into the back of a van. No tears, nothing.

He asked where she was going in the same tone mine asks when I'm off to the loo...

Limelight · 04/04/2016 22:26

You see! This thread is brilliant. Thanks all!

AugustaFinkNottle · 04/04/2016 22:27

I don't think the hunt sab was trying to saboteur, was he? I think he was taking photographs. Wasn't it around the time when the hunt had had a couple of foxes being killed and were feeling a trifle vulnerable?

BYOSnowman · 04/04/2016 22:28

Yes that's right Aug

FeedMyFaceWithJaffaCakes · 04/04/2016 22:28

I for one, as a newish archers listener hope they play the story out to its conclusion with as much building tension as they have done the rest of the storyline. I think the court case needs to be impeccable, with correct legal followings, but after all the many twists and turns is like to see a happy ending for Helen, Henry and the baby in the end free from DA.

Sagethyme · 04/04/2016 22:29

Jessie i do the washing up and Dh does the hoovering, so he thinks its pointless me listening to radio when hoover is making lots of noise (we have a wierd kitchen dinner set up), so i get his point as i miss chunks, but TONIGHT I WAS NOT MISSING IT!!! And the hoover was not allowed out till after the episode....think he may need the advice line Blush !
daddaddad your stats are cool. I couldnt bring myself to post about Nigel falling because first time i heard the 'screaming' episode it woke my the 6month old (she was a terrible baby who used to scream for hours and was a terrible sleeper), then she was woken again by the same sodding scream re-played on feed back....argghhhh....at that point i could have outdone Nigels' scream!!

Swirlingasong · 04/04/2016 22:30

Thanks to those who clarified the time, I missed that. But, I have just been forced to Google a map of Ambridge and am reeling from the fact that half the village seems to be the wrong way round! I'm fine with pictures of actors but the map is too much.

Stickerrocks · 04/04/2016 22:31

Coming down to earth with a bump. I've been so absorbed with this storyline that I haven't strayed to any other threads for days. Had a quick look at AIBU and spotted a very sad thread mirroring some of Helen & Henry's story. I wanted to cross-reference to all the helpful advice over here, then remembered that this is fiction and that one is somebody's real life.

Sagethyme · 04/04/2016 22:31

Didnt Shula get a flea in her ear from Rob re the hunting?

Gruach · 04/04/2016 22:31

Wrist - control

Chest - EA

Abdomen - rape and unwanted pregnancy.

Helen (subconsciously?) knew exactly what she was doing ...

Toomuchtea · 04/04/2016 22:32

I know what you mean. The map is Too Much for my internal Ambridge.

BYOSnowman · 04/04/2016 22:32

Well not exactly as he is still alive!!

Kr1stina · 04/04/2016 22:33

My scones are home made, naturally . I have gluten free ones too .

And tea for everyone, although I think a criminal barrister might be more useful than employment tonight.

< pats baby barrister consolingly on the knee and offers some home made plum jam for the scone >

I love these threads. A wonderful gathering of intelligent people, many of whom were displaced from the BBC boards upon their untimely closure. A wealth of knowledge, clearly more than within the actual BBC staff! And personal kindness too, DD was welcomed most kindly when she arrived 2 and a half years ago. And in other news it's my birthday tomorrow! I appreciate you all for the last 50,000 or so posts Flowers

Augusta thank you for the clarification.

Footle pasbeaucoup thanks for the clarification there, too. Grin

Pseudo if it makes you feel any better, your posts don't appear highlighted my end, maybe because I use a mobile device rather than proper web, so I can't even tell if they're rubbish. ;-)

Exchange on the Borsetshire Police twitter feed:

#thearchers The Lodge is !/2 mile from Blossom Hill Cottage.Peggy a frail 91 yr. old covered the distance in the dark in a remarkable time.

Borsetshire Police: @1949muzza we are aware of this. Considered possible accomplice at this time.

@borsetpolice Throw the book at her. Rubber hoses and sleep deprivation. She deserves no less.

Borsetshire Police: We will break her.
