She knows exactly what he's like, but she's worried about the mask slipping with Kirsty too often. If she repeatedly says how loving he is, she hopes she will believe it herself.

AugustaFinkNottle · 31/03/2016 19:32

I wonder if she'll find the school's number on his phone?

Fink · 31/03/2016 19:32

So now she's got Jess's number, let's see what happens there. At least Jess's background in social work might give her some professionalism but it won't be a happy conversation (I've been there, almost, listening to Eric Clapton got me through it Smile).

Marchate · 31/03/2016 19:33

School, Jess... And Stefan

simbobs · 31/03/2016 19:36

I've just been lurking on here till now. I felt quite sick at the end of tonight's episode. I think he'll make her lose/almost lose the baby and then blame her or Henry. I can remember what Jess said to her about Knob draining all her self confidence until she didn't know who she was any more. Why has Helen not tried to contact her before? Or Kirsty for that matter.

elephantoverthehill · 31/03/2016 19:36

What is all the 'sit down Helen' about? Does he think this will stop her being angry?

KingscoteStaff · 31/03/2016 19:37

And the numbers for all those non-organic suppliers he's been using...

simbobs · 31/03/2016 19:38

Surely the worm must turn? He is treating her like a naughty child and bullying her son!

theDudesmummy · 31/03/2016 19:39

I never come on Archers threads although I am a listener and lurk sometimes, but tonight I just have to say HELEN KILL HIM! Surely she has to see now, with what he has done to Henry? I would have murdered him there and then (Seriously, I have a little boy about Henry's age, that was so difficult to listen to).

Elendon · 31/03/2016 19:41

Didn't Kirsty say that Jess' no was on the phone she gave her? Helen will ring for the prescription, she knows that Rob will check up on her.

Elendon · 31/03/2016 19:43

Dudes mummy killing him will put her in prison, and then where would Henry be? Rob and Ursula?

LowDudgeon · 31/03/2016 19:43

Tibba, the frozen leg of lamb is a Roald Dahl short story (but in that she feeds it to the detectives who come to investigate the dead body in his armchair. He is also police. She doesn't need to feed him to the pigs Grin)

Haven't listened yet but got the gist. I've been hoping Jess would reappear but didn't think she'd be summoned...

AnnieNoMouse · 31/03/2016 19:46

Elendon Kirsty put her own number and WA on the secret phone; and told Helen that Jess's number would be on Rob's.

DadDadDad · 31/03/2016 19:46

I know Rob was as hideous as usual, but did anyone get the sense that the cracks in his control are beginning to show? Helen is not immediately complying, she's not agreeing with him, and he's having to ramp up the threat. Although I suspect it's going to get worse before it gets better.

AnnieNoMouse · 31/03/2016 19:52

I agree D3 - with both your points Sad

theDudesmummy · 31/03/2016 19:56

I wasn't seriously advocating murder, just expressing what I screamed at the radio when he said he had thrown the toy away!

redshoeblueshoe · 31/03/2016 19:56

I'm amazed he told her to use his phone. I hope she finds all sorts on it. Maybe some interesting texts to Jess.

StubbleTurnips · 31/03/2016 19:56

I'm ignoring tonight's episode as rob was his ghastly self.

I actually think I was Dorothy Blush didn't drink, and when I first stopped at DHs house with parents asked for a separate room. Knowing his mum and dad were catholic I didn't want to make them uncomfortable in their own house. I also made the tea on first occasion of meeting them Blush

Elendon · 31/03/2016 19:57

Thanks for the clarification Annie.

Helen can't ring Jess from Rob's phone. She will have to memorise it.

Jess did warn Helen before, re her and Rob sleeping together, but her warnings were ignored, by Helen, who was understandably very much in lust with Rob at that time, never did like listening to their romancing then. Not that I'm a prude.

tibbawyrots · 31/03/2016 19:58

lowdudgeon thanks! Glad she doesn't know it from real life experience 😂

Travelledtheworld · 31/03/2016 19:58

Parachuting into thread -before it gets filled up- for counselling and support after traumatic episode. I thought Knob would manhandle Hellin to make her sit down, probably give her a shove. He was getting very aggressive.

Poor Henry. ( my 16 year rugby playing son still loves his teddies).

Wordsaremything · 31/03/2016 20:00

Rob's going to find the secret phone though isn't he Sad
I wonder if 'pharmacy' is stored above 'prep school '

Elendon · 31/03/2016 20:03

I know dudes, sorry.

Yes, throwing the bunny in the bin was awful!

simbobs · 31/03/2016 20:05

He must have some reason for wanting her to use his phone - unless he wants to stop Henry telling her something?! I feel like this is so excruciating that I want it to be over, but am away next week so will miss it...! Aargh!

simbobs · 31/03/2016 20:07

Maybe Jess will show up with smallest sprog who now looks uncannily like Rob... I can't believe that he would want to cut off all contact with his biological kids. That part of the storyline seems unlikely. Or have I missed something?
