I think I'm missing something. I just don't understand Helen leaving the half packed bag in plain sight and and taking the trouble to cook a meal. When was she planning to leave - the following day? Because otherwise I don't understand why Henry was getting ready for bed.

Why tell Rob about Jess, plans to leave etc and run the risk of Henry having to witness the fallout? Surely she should have told Pat to keep him with her as she must have guessed Rob's reaction would not exactly be pleasant. The chain of events really didn't make much sense.

Stickerrocks · 03/04/2016 20:09

Well Susan will have something else to talk about now. Although Pat and Peggy have witnessed Helen's stroppiness, there are lots of people who can confirm his controlling behaviour - Tom, Shula and perhaps Charlie can be called. Hopefully Helen wrote down the reference number the helpline gave her and Jess can corroborate for her.

Vango · 03/04/2016 20:09

Good point GrumpyOldBag! Even more evidence against her, with adult witnesses who both support Rob.

Time to move on....

OneMoreStepAroundTheBendIGo · 03/04/2016 20:17

we know whether H whether she was going to give Knob the "shop bought" one he so despises just to annoy him further? She made a tuna bake for him knowing (or thinking) he didn't like tuna...Bridge F

Ooh, I love "knife" in the new thread title, I was going to suggest knife but then thought it would upset people coz really quite shocking. Right, off to next thread until the next ridiculous episode actually airs

OneMoreStepAroundTheBendIGo · 03/04/2016 20:19

Oops - meant to ask whether we think Helen didobey Knob's orders and make custard rather than giving him the shop bought type he apparently despises to put on the pie that's still in the oven.

TheSilveryPussycat · 03/04/2016 20:28

And there I was, having been coaxed to take my fingers out my ears, even having actually listened to the end of the film. I was actually planning to listen to tonight's episode as it was broadcast.

Thankfully I didn't. And read the thread update.

La, la, la, la, la...

Minimammoth · 03/04/2016 20:39

Could this be the death of pie, rather than the life of pie.
Sorry.

Minimammoth · 03/04/2016 20:40

Is this the fastest thread ever
D3??

BeaufortBelle · 03/04/2016 20:40

The pie will combust causing a draught to cause a gas leak, Henry will be running out as something's up and Kirsty will grab him as the boom goes up. knob and Hellin will be rescued both barely alive. The baby is born by emergency cs Just before H dies. Knob survives but is a paraplegic rendered unable to care for Henry who is taken in by Pat and Tony who regard him as a resurrected John.

Charlie gets a job as charge nurse in Knob's care home and ensures maximum pressure sores and feeding issues.

Thread fills. Roll on 7pm tomorrow.
