Not long until our thread's 3 year birthday!

Oh this is painful. So painful.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 24/02/2016 19:09

Did she have Rob at home so nobody would spot the horns?

sunnydayinmay · 24/02/2016 19:09

Ah, so planning to keep her away from the hospital now. No doubt going to be her birthing partner.

JessTitchener · 24/02/2016 19:10

Arseula really is as subtle as a sledgehammer isn't she?

sunnydayinmay · 24/02/2016 19:10

She's really annoying me.

Shallishanti · 24/02/2016 19:10

can't really believe Rob is in favour of home birth

Travelledtheworld · 24/02/2016 19:10

Oh Christ she's trying to persuade her to have a home birth !
Who made that prediction.
The chanting....
The black mass ????

Stickerrocks · 24/02/2016 19:11

Loving the way in which Ursula says "Tom", as though she's looking at something nasty you don't want to tread in.

BYOSnowman · 24/02/2016 19:12

So there was no doctor on duty and she had a terrible experience with her first

So she decided that a home birth would be better. Because there's a doctor on call at home of course.

Can they at least try and get it to make a little bit of sense

(Although I did moot on an earlier thread that miles is disabled and rob resents him being around and 'messing up' his childhood - can see him being such a negative person and all)

SaffyRosie · 24/02/2016 19:13

Just listening to Arseula going on about home births. So this is what is going to happen ... Helen will die in childbirth because she decides (under pressure) to have the baby at home. Complications will develop and she will die. The baby will live and Rob will be victorious and leave the area with both the new baby and also Henry.

BYOSnowman · 24/02/2016 19:15

More likely the baby will die

And here is the amazing baby voiced 5 year old

sunnydayinmay · 24/02/2016 19:16

I have an awful feeling she will lose the baby.

BYOSnowman · 24/02/2016 19:17

I'm not sure they could kill off either mother or baby without excellent writing and they don't seem to have that at the moment. It's something that is extremely difficult to listen to and would be turning this into a miseryfest

Gherkinsmummy · 24/02/2016 19:19

I'd have thought that with her history Helen wouldn't be given a choice? How does that work?

Stickerrocks · 24/02/2016 19:20

Waiting for HelenluvsRob to start posting on AIBU to want my MiL to stop giving my DS chocolate, as it makes him whine like a toddler.

ColdTeaAgain · 24/02/2016 19:22

Anyone with Helens medical history would be very strongly steered away from a home birth surely? There are already concerns about her health in this pregnancy and she is also at higher risk of having pre eclampsia a second time because it is a different father. If this idea pans out then we have surpassed ridiculous in to complete nonsense.

ColdTeaAgain · 24/02/2016 19:25

I just have a horrible feeling now that this is going to end with the baby not making it. Because that way when they finally get rid of Knob they won't have to deal with the complications of SOK, it would be a clean break so to speak Sad

recyclingbag · 24/02/2016 19:46

I maybe wildly optimistic.

There was a very good scene ages ago with Helen and either midwife/HV where Helen said how caring rob is but the HV sounded suspicious.

I'm sure a midwife must want to see Helen alone at some point.

Is this a 20 week scan, or an extra one, or a private one?

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/02/2016 19:47

Ah yes, it is all coming to pass; for so it was written Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/02/2016 19:49

Surely this will finally snap Pat out of her stupor?

And Kirsty will demand of Rob whether he and his mother ae on glue?

It's SOC's swan song though, isn't it? He wants to go out with an EE style bang.

enochroot · 24/02/2016 19:53

Is U feeding Henry chocolate to make him boisterous so he will get in trouble? Neither she nor Rob seemed annoyed that he was jumping on Helen though.

(I'm not sure why I'm bothering to try and make any sense of this tripe though.)

Stickerrocks · 24/02/2016 19:54

Helen did point out that it was a different midwife. Maybe she hadn't read her notes and wanted to follow David Cameron's latest policy of birth choices.

GruntledOne · 24/02/2016 20:10

If there's a shortage of midwives as Arsula asserted, surely that is all the more reason for Helen not to go for a home birth?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 24/02/2016 20:10

Nothing about tonight's episode was believable. They've just played musical characters with the cast again. Everyone seems to be acting against type and it's driving me nuts.
It's getting to the point where I'm not sure I want to listen any more.

PseudoBadger · 24/02/2016 20:18

Where is Amy?
