We love Charlie. But we want Adam and Ian to get married. What will happen in Ambridge in the pre-Christmas thread?

Just listened to Friday - we are 2 weeks from Christmas and David didn't even ask whether Ruth will be back by then?

OP posts:

Even though Davud is moaning I don't have the impression that the Brookgield clan live hand to mouth. I'm sure they have enough flexibility in their accounts /on their cards to cover the odd trip to NZ.

The surprise windfall is from an insurance policy her mother had taken out. A death certificate should be enough to release the funds direct to Ruth quite quickly, I think.

Thanks for the new thread.

It must be stag night tonight. Rob spoiled the last Ambridge stag night but will he go to this one? Has he been invited?

TeenAndTween · 13/12/2015 16:19

I think he'll definitely go, and will aim to sabotage upcoming marriage by 'accidentally' mentioning something to Ian.

Thus also alienating Helen from both Adam and Ian, as Rob will let on that Helen was aware of Adam's previous liaison.

enochroot · 13/12/2015 16:47

Will Adam get to find out that his own mother told Rob about Pavel the strawberry picker?

LyndaNotLinda · 13/12/2015 17:18

Just wanted to thank whoever it was who posted a link to the Ambridge Observer. I love it!

ImperialBlether · 13/12/2015 17:28

Here's the jigsaw if anyone's looking for it.

BitOutOfPractice · 13/12/2015 17:36

Hello! JUst marking my spot in the Ploughman's until I have a chance to catch up properly

Boomingmarvellous · 13/12/2015 18:43

Does anyone else thing that dear old Joe is going to pass away quietly in his sleep while back at Grange Farm?

NelsonsWineBar · 13/12/2015 18:53

Shock at the price. Am considering getting my daughter to pack it all up again so I can flog it on Ebay.

But she's just excitedly told me she's got all the bits for "Nelson's Wine Bar".

Gruach · 13/12/2015 19:09

NorthernLurker · 13/12/2015 19:16

I think Ian will be round to talk to Helen first thing in the morning.

Rob really is an utter git.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 13/12/2015 19:16

BlackeyedSusan · 13/12/2015 19:17

well, well well... what an twat.

MsButteryMash · 13/12/2015 19:17

Totally Booming they've flagged up Joe's demise with that "I just want to spend one more night under the old roof and I'll die a happy man" whatever it was. I reckon they will have a lovely Christmas dinner and then he'll drift off in an old armchair.

They also flagged up something ominous happening flood-wise with Susan and Clarrie talking about everything getting back to normal at last. NUDGE NUDGE!

FloraDiesEarly · 13/12/2015 19:19

Oh Ian Sad Sad Sad

phoebemac · 13/12/2015 19:20

The odious little bastard. "Open relationship"! Angry

BlackeyedSusan · 13/12/2015 19:20

turn up where you are not invited and then stab adam in the back. he has been gunning for him for a while. not forgotten that snide remark about real men at the end of the cricket when adam told twat face off for sledging too much
