We love Charlie. But we want Adam and Ian to get married. What will happen in Ambridge in the pre-Christmas thread?

Just listened to Friday - we are 2 weeks from Christmas and David didn't even ask whether Ruth will be back by then?

Am away for Christmas with limited internet connection, but managed to hear episode with Scruff's return yesterday, that was lovely😄. Alhough it did start me wondering if it could have been (gasp!) Stefan in the silage. Hope that is too far fetched a story line.

Hope Hellin is OK, I didn't hear earlier episodes this week ( since Monday) and Happy Christmas everyone🍷🍷

I don't think Hell is terrified... cowed and bullied and in stubborn fixed thinking delusional denial , yes, though. Not saying that she deserves Knob, of course.

Rob doesn't realise he's horrible, either. (eek)

Do we get the new thread then Pseudo ?
We've all worked jolly hard to fill this one up!

If Henry is anything like my almost 5-year-old this morning then Rob will lose it pretty quickly! Poor DP is realising he should've built the football table last night...

Helen is far too terrified to raise anything with Rob. She'll have filed it under 'more things my husband has done to alienate me from my friends'. The only thing that might stir her to action now would be Rob mistreating Henry and then Rob will be physically abusive. I suspect Rob's manipulating Henry already. What 4 year old is so pliable? Especially at Christmas.

Ian accused Helen of knowing that Adam and Charlie were having it off and that everyone in the village knew including Rob. Oddly Helen didn't raise this with Rob. Instead she was pathetically grateful to her husband for being nice to their son while they decorated a Christmas tree.

Irl has it ever happened that you've been lured to the mistletoe by someone wanting to "give you a present"? Surely this only happens in Victorian romance so. She may as well have said "Lawks a mercy, sir!"

Was the corpse definitely identified as canine? I know it was sent for analysis but did we hear the results?

What a lovely festive topic. Merry Christmas!

I've missed a couple of episodes, did Ian tell Helen what rob said? And scruff, really, yeah!

Helen is so bullied by rob she's even going to let the Iain sabotage slide.

Don't care if it was cheesy, just listened this morning and loved Lynda's scenes in last night's episode! Agree about Pip and Matt the Cowman.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

Dog not dig.

Report
SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 25/12/2015 01:54

Corpse in silage was identified as canine but there wasn't much left.
Presumably another dig that drowned in flood. (Unless it was an illegally hunted fix that Rob stuffed in there)

The Pip 'don't worry I gave him a good send off' oh aye?!? Looks like one of my next yr predictions might be on;-)

I thought there was a collar with the hind leg of the dog. (Because it's totally normal to put a collar on the hind leg... Might have got that one wrong. )

It was lovely, but cheesy. It was definitely better than the mistletoe bit with Pip and Matthew. Though that does mean she won't let David get rid of the dairy herd, and she'll be conspiring to send Ruth on a world tour, so they have lots of need for milkman relief.

I would like to think that it was a Stefan bone that was found in the culvert but wasn't it identified as canine?

Surely Matt will break her heart and Rex will pick up the pieces.

IM glad Pip canoodled with Matt. Far better than the prospect of a relationship with T-Rex, and those characters having another reason to stay in TA.
Even better, David will lay off Matt in January and Pip will follow him north (still think he's from Nottingham though, and not the actual north).

Gruach re 16 yo's perspicacity - I think a naked WI/CG radio show could scar him for life - better he plays Call of Duty or watches a Beyonce video.

Could the large dog in the silage possibly have been a human?

Or will Scruff lead Lynda to Stephan in the culvert? Or to some buried treasure that Rob has been hiding following the poaching episodes?

And had Lynda only recently returned home after the flood? In which case was Scruff turning up there on a regular basis only to find no-one home?

Xmas Grin I love the way people are linking the return of Scruff with the oncoming downfall of Rob. Such twisty minds you have.

Was a lovely gentle episode Eastpoint. Perhaps not quite BOOP-worthy for me since we'd been waiting for the ghostly remains to turn up most of the year. And it would have been funnier if it happened during Calendar Girls. But I thoroughly empathise with the sheer relief at the return of a long gone animal.

Wait a minute, mrsmorton, you're an out of hours dentist who works listening to TA? Shock Given the violent way some seem to respond to current storylines, I'm worried about your patients if you're drilling when Rob is nasty to Helen etc. It might really hit a nerve! Grin

Scruff!
Where has he been all this time? There was no mention of his condition. I hope Lynda doesn't get into a custody dispute with whoever has been looking after him.
What will she feed him? - will there be an emergency raid on the village shop on Christmas day or will he get the choicest cuts from the turkey.

Warm Christmassy glow here.
