Petulant Pip whining about Rickyard made me scream. FFS she was all 'I feel soooo bad about costing you so much money' just a few weeks' ago. Is she paying rent?! Bet she bloody isn't.

Loathesome

what is Knob's plan about money?

Keep Helen well away from the shop and totally barbecue the BF accounts. He will elbow his way inter a greater and greater share of responsibility, to the extent that anyone who questions him (Tony, Tom) can be accused of themselves wanting to sabotage the business.

And he's laid the groundwork for Helen to be blamed if it all goes wrong. Shed de incapable of defending herself.

It is all a little bit too much.

choccyp1g · 29/11/2015 20:01

More nonsensical plots.
Why can't they get Ed to do the milking?

I thought The Grundy's always used to do the turkeys at the shed in the field.
Brookfield have spare if ramshackle houses at Hollowtree and maybe Marney's.
Kathy's house is next door to the Grundy's, so how come she's not being thrown out, or does she own it?
Etc.

GruntledOne · 29/11/2015 20:07

Surely if Knob outs Charlie and Adam, he's lost his hold over Charlie? Charlie would then have every motivation to publicise why Knob left Berrow and, I hope, to find Stefan.

DadDadDad · 29/11/2015 20:16

I bet whoever wanted lurkers to delurk is regretting it now

Hey DDD your poster spreadshits are going to go mental now

Holy cow! What have I unleashed, the readings are off the dial, she's going to blow Cap'n Pseudo!!

Actually, I'm quite chuffed by how a little nudge has brought more friends out to moan play.

**

Double holy cow! Until I saw that picture I'd completely forgotten that I had a weird dream last night where I was sitting with Ferrell trying to help him write a comic song. It was truly awful but of course I can't even remember what it was about now.

Anyway, er, back to discussing TA... Blush

Thegentlemonkey · 29/11/2015 20:20

Rob? Also de-lurking, love this thread, never posted until today though.

GypsyFl0ss · 29/11/2015 20:22

He's coming across as the first one Pseudo but I suspect he's actually the second one Smile

NorthernLurker · 29/11/2015 20:27

Was that £50 Rob paid for logs 'on account'? I mean - crikey - how many logs were they buying?

He is determined to keep Helen away from that wedding isn't he?

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 29/11/2015 20:48

SaintEyning · 29/11/2015 20:53

Delurking - this is my favourite thread on MN. Smile

GypsyFl0ss · 29/11/2015 20:57

Muddha that is absolutely how he sees himself. The poor deluded Knob.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/11/2015 21:08

Yes! I watched that just the other week. Rob to the life. If only Helen could find a Gabriel Oak... but I'd settle for the Peter Finch character (whose name I can't remember) losing control.

HumphreyCobblers · 29/11/2015 21:14

We had four loads of logs this year and spend about £500. It is our only form of heating though.

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 29/11/2015 21:14

he does tick a few Sargeant Troy boxes, come to think of it

handsome charming plausible manipulative

pursuing attractive woman of means for nefarious purposes

went all horrible after they got married

got another woman pregnant

...let's hope he too fakes his own death leaving a pile of clothes by the banks of the river Am, fucks off forever and Matt comes back instead to take his rightful place as the REAL Baddie of Ambridge

RacquelWelsh · 29/11/2015 21:15

Also delurking. Agree, this is the best thread on MN. I enjoy it more than actually listening... I've recently discovered Ambridge Synthetics on Twitter.. Their vision of Rob v good.. Here he is talking to Helen about her speeding ticket (I must get out more....)

enochroot · 29/11/2015 21:16

He doesn't need a hold over Charlie now he's talked to Justin. He just wants revenge on someone who doubted him and, after all, he's got the Bridge Farm business in his grasp so he thinks he's home safe.
Also he's found that serving in he shop is an ideal way to spread nasty gossip whilst, no doubt, dipping his hand in the till.

The villainy is so inflated now that it can't go on much longer - but I've been saying that for ages!

Impostersyndrome · 29/11/2015 21:23

ok, semi de-lurking to say that we sit here chez imposter land shouting at the radio every evening wondering why we keep on listening when it becomes even more preposterous day by day. We cannot stand Pip and her manly voice (unless she's simpering at fairbrethren and why on earth did they have her agree to go into business with them and why on earth did Adam agree to it when 5 minutes earlier he'd decided they weren't a reliable option? we were so looking forward to them being furious with Pip for pipping them at the post and instead we got a 'oh ok then, the best man [sic] won').

BTW: You brilliant regulars only make me see even more of the cracks in the script so I sometimes stop reading this thread, just so I can be lulled into a sense that maybe I'm being over-critical.

Dad cubed, et al: are you regretting inviting lurkers to de-lurk?

Impostersyndrome · 29/11/2015 21:25

Oh and the Calendar Girls storyline. Completely ridiculous. And as someone has already said: how is it that the only casting they do is to fit people's real-life character to a character in the play? Isn't it meant to be, you know, acting??

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/11/2015 21:26

Can't speak for DDD et al but I love it when people delurk! At the rate our regulars are swearing off listening ever again, we need new posters! Sad

dairyfarmerswife · 29/11/2015 21:26

Which would be odd as Hampshire isn't exactly dairy country but there you go.

dairy.ahdb.org.uk/market-information/farming-data/producer-numbers/uk-producer-numbers/#.Vltrl3NFCv2. (Webpage contains a link to a spreadshit to please DDD.)

I thought the same so had a Google. In May 2012 there were 90 dairy farms I. Hampshire, compared to 192 in Hereford and Worcestershire Borsetshire. So not really dairy country but still possible that Rob grew up near or on a dairy farm.

Not heard all of tonight yet but forgot to mention the teasing of 'Sam' at the airport on Friday. David definitely did a double take, didn't he Grin

Footle · 29/11/2015 21:30

I can't listen at the moment / ever again, it makes me miserable. Though I'm glad to hear Ruth's gone.
I lurk here to find out what's going on though.

BoreOfWhabylon · 29/11/2015 22:02

...let's hope he too fakes his own death leaving a pile of clothes by the banks of the river Am, fucks off forever and Matt comes back instead to take his rightful place as the REAL Baddie of Ambridge

Muddha this is brilliant! We know how much SOC likes his classical allusions.

And welcome to all the lovely lurkers - now that you have revealed yourselves you cannot return to the shadows.
