Been listening for about 25 years, lurking for about two. Never posted. You people are very funny x

toldmywrath · 29/11/2015 18:49

Hello to lurkers- so lovely to know more people are reading/lurking. I'm a film listener so very occasional poster. I posted on the end of the prev thread, so have copied & pasted it below

lillian "Perhaps Joe will die at a service station on the way to his care home" Is keeling over at Keele a possibility (or is that too far north of Ambridge?) Grin

LyndaNotLinda · 29/11/2015 18:51

Here you all are! :)

Thanks for shiny new thread Pseudo and how lovely to see so many lurkers. I can't think why anyone feels they need to be terribly interesting to post - I don't think I am but I do anyway (possibly the whole of MN is thinking shut UP, shut UP! but I don't care).

Anyway, I too was exceedingly irritated by JD joining the ranks of the personality transplants. It's getting to the point where it'd be quicker to list the people who haven't suddenly done something entirely out of character rather than those who have. V interesting about the lack of archivist. Explains a lot

HumphreyCobblers · 29/11/2015 19:03

Thanks BoreofWhabylon Smile

Jenny really wouldn't have done that, would she?

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 29/11/2015 19:05

Hmm Nap time??

Stickerrocks · 29/11/2015 19:10

David's been kicked in the .....

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 29/11/2015 19:14

Ha! So he doesn't want to stop the wedding as much as stop Helen attending.

Stickerrocks · 29/11/2015 19:14

Why doesn't Eddie just ask David if they have any spare houses floating around?

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 29/11/2015 19:15

Eddie will help out and then a cottage will miraculously appear ?

HumphreyCobblers · 29/11/2015 19:15

not telling Ruth? FFS!

enochroot · 29/11/2015 19:15

He's expecting Helen to tell Ian before the wedding.

He hid that cheque book, didn't he? And he's running out of money.

Stickerrocks · 29/11/2015 19:16

They've just remembered Rickyard Cottage. At last. Get packing Pip, so Eddie can take over the milking & move in.

Gruach · 29/11/2015 19:16

Stop her attending and thereby ruin another friendship.

Eurghh - Pip and David ...

Gruach · 29/11/2015 19:17

Rob will be stealing from the farm from now on.

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 29/11/2015 19:18

Exactly Gruach

enochroot · 29/11/2015 19:19

I hope Pat's checked the till, Gruach.

I think his aim is to 'out' Charlie by first giving Ian grounds to call off the wedding.

feelingcrossagain · 29/11/2015 19:30

Aargh! I find the rob plot unbelievable now because I just don't believe for one second that Pat would go along with this absurd idea that Helen needs to 'rest' and can't drive when she isn't even 16 weeks pregnant. Helen didn't need to continually 'rest' with Henry did she? Pat is far too strong to buy that nonsense from Rob!

GypsyFl0ss · 29/11/2015 19:33

Hey DDD your poster spreadshits are going to go mental now Grin

MeolsCop · 29/11/2015 19:35

Classic gaslighting. 'No, darling, the chequebook's right here, where it's always been'.....

yeOldeTrout · 29/11/2015 19:35

Knob wants to wreak revenge on Ian, I get all that plot line.

But what's with the money? Is he in total denial about being able to get away with spending money that isn't his? Something is going on, what is Knob's plan about money?

GypsyFl0ss · 29/11/2015 19:37

Rob is now being written like a step by step guide to " how to be a villain". It's such a shame as I had high hopes they'd take some advice from Safer Places and Women's Aid and use this storyline as properly educational one.

Efferlunt · 29/11/2015 19:40

De-lurking. 1900 was bath time for DS1 as a baby, he's now five. I'd leave the radio on after the six thirty comedy and didn't really think i was listening until one day I found myself wishing Pip's parents would bloody well sort her out. Turns out I do listen to the archers! I think someone on the end of the last thread was asking about Rob. I seem to remember he came from a farm in Hampshire that he either worked / owned. Which would be odd as Hampshire isn't exactly dairy country but there you go.
