Wishful thinking. I think she's in it for the long haul Sad

OP posts:

Am I imaging things Pseudo - did you change your name, then change it back again ?
Slade - that would be excellent Star

enochroot · 05/09/2015 09:17

I wondered if a fish kettle would be an effective murder weapon but that would point the finger of suspicion at Jess. Joint enterprise perhaps?

enochroot · 05/09/2015 09:19

A food related revenge would be so appropriate because he has asserted his dominance so much through food.

BlackeyedSusan · 05/09/2015 10:32

Did he cook salmon on Thursday, when he has previously stated he does not like it? (what was he did not like and made Helen feel bad about?)

What happend with Rob and Scruff? Did he do something? ( I must have missed it. )

I remember he was vile over the bike and Ian incident, but have no idea what he said now.

I think Charlie will turn up Stefan's details from somewhere. Now Rob has left the dairy, the other workers will not feel so scared of upsetting him. One of then is bound to have his mobile number.

I hope Charlie finds proper evidence of Robs faulty figures.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 05/09/2015 11:35

It was tuna he said he didn't like (I think).

So far as I know, we can't blame Rob for Scruff's disappearance (but that's an interesting theory...).

enochroot · 05/09/2015 12:23

Oooh! Ed tipped David off about Rob removing rubbish that Ed had pulled out of the culvert.
Another for the list.

Stefan can't have been the only Berrow employee who was scared of Rob. They might be just as wary of Charlie though.

My guess is that Helen will fall out of love as quickly as she fell in but I don't think it's going to head for a swift murder. All those promises he's extracted about her standing by him whatever happens are going to be tested when the culvert, SAB etc plots come to fruition. She'll extract her revenge and betray the bastard. (I hope.)

Marking place

redshoeblueshoe · 05/09/2015 12:47

Robert - do not listen to them

I guess no-one understands you

let me know when he's gone

ppeatfruit · 05/09/2015 15:11

Well Titch killed the thread Grin

Do we reckon Kenton is going to give in to J'lene's exhortations? It's good she's got Fallon on her side, she can also have a go at the stupid twit.

squeaver · 05/09/2015 15:26

Can someone confirm: does Kenton actually have any sort of financial stake in The Bull, other than being married to Jolene? She can surely just take the money and he'll have to deal with it.

ppeatfruit · 05/09/2015 16:11

I don't think anyone knows Squeaver it obviously wasn't discussed, on TA maybe he had a mortgage on The original 'Jax' because he's not monied is he? If he was he isn't now anyway Grin

Helenluvsrob · 05/09/2015 16:28

Oh god he's here. It's like I'm not alowed i life of my own any more ...

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 05/09/2015 16:30

He didn't own Jaxx, ppeatfruit. He was employed as manager.

Helen - Thanks. I think you need to talk to Kirsty asap.

GypsyFl0ss · 05/09/2015 16:39

Ah Rob welcome. Now tell me about your mother.

InimitableJeeves · 05/09/2015 16:51

Maybe as the summer farmworkers go home, one of them will meet up with Stefan and tell him that Knob isn't at Berrow any longer, prompting Stefan to get back in touch with Charlie, and All Will Be Revealed.

enochroot · 05/09/2015 16:54

Oh I hope he has a psychiatric assessment at some point - and that we get to hear it.

SladeGreen · 05/09/2015 18:40

One thing that I'm still not sure about is the whole culvert-blocking thing. I know what a culvert is, so I'm guessing that Berrow Farm is downhill of the village, and so Rob blocked it so it would flood the village instead of the farm?

Mind you, I bet that ends up as another loose-end to the flood story that is never again addressed by the SWs.

ppeatfruit · 05/09/2015 21:14

You know we DO tend to overthink TA; I watched the film of Oklahoma for the umpteenth time on telly recently and noticed the most appalling mistake in the continuity, I mean dreadful.

I thought if that well known universally loved film can cock up so outrageously then we AA's shouldn't be surprised by some bad script writing and continuity should we?? Grin The BBC SWs will no doubt get paid much less than the Hollywood ones would've done.

InimitableJeeves · 05/09/2015 23:05

The thing is, when Oklahoma was made there was no such thing as videos, let alone DVDs. I suspect they reckoned that if they made any continuity mistakes they'd probably get away with it given that most people would only see it in the cinema once or twice and probably wouldn't notice. And, of course, there were no online discussion groups for people to spread the word if they did.

enochroot · 06/09/2015 08:37

SladeGreen I think David gave the explanation after he heard what Stefan had to say. The culvert was blocked so water flowed along the road to the village instead.

ppeatfruit · 06/09/2015 09:08

True Inimitable But I think we could cut them some slack. RL isn't neatly tied and finished off is it?

stilllearnin · 06/09/2015 09:54

and people often don't behave in character in RL - (but this is not RL Shock )

InimitableJeeves · 06/09/2015 10:53

But they do it too often. The way they resolved the whole business of Lil and Paul was really frustrating after they'd gone to all the trouble of setting him up as a lying controlling type. All the stuff about Carol killing off her husband, and the rubbish with mediums, seems to have disappeared down a plughole. They presumably want people to invest in TA storylines so that they keep listening: if they keep setting things up and leaving things dangling, there comes a point when listeners find it too frustrating and disappear.

ppeatfruit · 06/09/2015 11:53

But the ending of Paul was very believable and it DID end ! The killing of John Treggoran was just Jenny's jealous fantasy wasn't it? His son said there was no funny business didn't he?

I don't even think the medium thing was that bad. People do the oddest things.

InimitableJeeves · 06/09/2015 12:54

But with Paul they built up that whole business with his ex and his children, and it just went nowhere. What was the point?
