BRIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh dear.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 28/07/2015 19:10

Poor Brian. It's tough but speaking to a lawyer - someone who will be rubbing his hands together in glee.

Soc loves a good will doesn't he.

Finding this a little bit crap as a SL. Do they really need to throw a bomb into the aldridges after they've done it to the Brookfield archers and the other archers.

She will have an Adam like conversion and then bore us all to tears acting like she was the first person in the world to think those thoughts.

As with tons wedding, they are pushing to a 'cliffhanger' that really isn't. If she goes I will be gobsmacked (please please please let me be gobsmacked!!)

TopazRocks · 28/07/2015 19:50

Did anyone else think the chat with the lawyer was a bit odd? First, we had Brine saying 'You know my MIL, Peggy' as if Brine and Lawyer had never met. Then at mention of Rooooray we had Lawyer sounding like he'd heard all about it and was rubbing his hands in a quite gossipy way.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 28/07/2015 20:09

After saying that I had no trouble distinguishing the Farebrothren, tonight I got all the way to the end of that talk Pip was having with Toby before I realised he wasn't Rex. Sigh.

Gruach · 28/07/2015 20:12

Anyone watching "The House That £100k Built"? They have 8 acres and 2000 chickens. Plus some geese ...

R4 · 28/07/2015 20:49

I liked the Brian plot, stitching Adam up so it costs him when his half-baked, non-existent scheme goes pear-shaped. Well done, Brine. Adam can't really refuse without losing face, can he?
I do think, now that Brine is backing off from the farm a bit, that he ought to get stuck into Amside. The temptation to show that he can do a better job that Matt must be immense.

Do we think that Ian is going to leave GG while Caroline is on holiday in favour of BistroBull. Even better if cash-strapped Kenton persuades him to become a partner with an injection of cash to build the kitchen of his dreams. That will be both Ian and Adam financially stretched at the same time.

Lol Apple Grin

Scarydinosaurs · 29/07/2015 20:57

Love that apple.

I fear Adam is going to go- Brine seems determined to fuck up his 'retirement' and silent Rory's inheritance seems to outweigh the needs of all his other children. JD is going to go ballistic.

Have they forgotten all about JE?

The mention of Sam was a bit awkward. Doesn't seem fair to do that to Jill. I wonder if Pip will stop navel gazing long enough to work out the problem.

Toby Trouble is a proper twat. He is going to give Pip the clap and scupper her chances of conquering Brazil. Pip has to go, her character has exhausted all possible storylines.

Gruach · 29/07/2015 21:11

Scaryd Pip is The Archers. SOC has promised. All future SLs are hers.

R4 · 29/07/2015 21:30

I thought that David was avoiding getting a relief milker because he was trying to force Ruth's hand - "you have to leave HP in her halfway house and come back to help on the farm".
It hadn't occurred to me that he was scared of a Sam Mark II.
And it obviously hasn't occurred to David to get a sultry Samantha to scare Ruth back down south.

Scarydinosaurs · 30/07/2015 07:20

Grauch no no no

She'll have all the cows in a dungeon on zero hour contracts. Pip has to have at least a year away!

LillianGish · 30/07/2015 08:28

So depressing to think of Pip being the future of The Archers. Just thinking back to when Phil was still alive and in charge - the Archer kids were all very much identifiable, key characters - they were obviously the future because they were so much a part of the programme. The problem now is that they haven't been written or played well for years. This has got me pondering that they are like real children - you can't just ignore them when they are little and expect them to turn out well! Surely Pip has to go to Brazil - it can't be the Great North Move part 2. I'm hoping she'll go for a year - realise how much she hates the reality of cows in sheds and come back to Brookfield a new woman (again!) Ruth should get Heather a place in the Laurels - it's not as if the SWs have to make something up - they already have a lovely care in Ambridge (let's be honest - if you had to go into a care home, who wouldn't want it to be the Laurels. Christine was even thinking of moving in and there is absolutely nothing wrong with her!)

enochroot · 30/07/2015 10:09

So Brian has sought advice from the same lawyer who drew up Peggy's disastrous will?
That'll go well.

squeaver · 30/07/2015 11:59

Surely Rob is syphoning money off to pay off Stefan?? It won't be huge amounts but enough for Charlie to spot?

Also, I don't know much about game fairs but I do know about trade shows. Toby can't expect to just pitch up, drink some champagne and flog his geese surely? He'd have to take a stand, wouldn't he?

Thought it was a bit of a sudden turnaround that Pip is now playing hard to get.

BertrandRussell · 30/07/2015 12:05

But wouldn't Barrow farm have a finance person looking at the books all the time? It's not just Rob and Charlie and Justin Thing, is it?

minkGrundy · 30/07/2015 12:23

Sometimes I teally wish TA did a transcript

stilllearnin · 30/07/2015 13:19

And another thing H & R are in IOW bloody miming!! Angry

LillianGish · 30/07/2015 17:34

Perhaps Stefan could return as a relief milker at Brookfield.

BertrandRussell · 30/07/2015 18:16

Who's doing Rob's job while he's away?

oddfodd · 30/07/2015 18:44

Much as I loathe Pip, I thought it was a bit odd that she was suddenly keen on being mean to cows. And is suddenly playing hard to get when she's been a giggly mess every time Toby comes near.

I think if she becomes the future, I will have to give up TA. She hasn't got a personality

BYOSnowman · 30/07/2015 18:52

Me too odd. She is so dull. And I still haven't warmed to the actress.

BYOSnowman · 30/07/2015 19:07

I hope they haven't pre recorded any scenes at the cricket tomorrow!!
