Won't someone please give Kenton a kick in the FA Cup Finals, and a link to Money Saving Expert?

Ppeat, I would be surprised if something like this wouldn't really upset someone as controlling as knob. It's such an unusual thing to do, I'm surprised he hasn't insisted on knowing the paternity. Perhaps it will come out later as Helen and he start TTC.

Poor Henry. I wonder if he will start making comments about now being a 'proper' family if they have their own child.

ppeatfruit · 22/06/2015 11:32

IIW Hell. Knob's attitude towards Henry would have me running to the hills. A child has no choice.

ErrolTheDragon · 22/06/2015 11:37

I suppose at least it means there isn't any other man with any claim on Henry or to whom Helen has any emotional attachment.

minkGrundy · 22/06/2015 11:38

I was trying to find out how plays creepy little Henry but there is no comment.
not a fan of the EA Knob but i didn't think he was being mean to Henry at all, although it was noticeable that Henry calls him Rob not dad but is expected to treat him as if he is his dad.

If anything, I think they need to ratchet up the Helen Rob thing a bit. There are probably 1000s of women on Mn who's partners expect them to sort out their laundry for them and who are not abusive just a bit lazy. I find it implausible that he isn't nastier to H at home. You don't see the confusion that you get in normal EA where he is unreasonable and yet still makes her think it is her fault.

and yes arf at 'cultured stroke play'.

Golfhotelromeofoxtrot · 22/06/2015 11:49

I thought yesterday's 'everything is lovely' is now going to be contrasted with something nasty to manipulate Helen into doing the next thing Knob wants (her to have another child?).

When the police get involved about the culvert it really is going to hit the fan.

ZeroFunDame · 22/06/2015 12:00

When the police get involved about the culvert ...

This being 'new' Archers I wouldn't be surprised if the entire culvert thing is now dropped. Like Rob's attack on the hunt saboteur. And the sinkhole.

Golfhotelromeofoxtrot · 22/06/2015 12:14

zero no no no- it's a slow burning one. Knob's stuff is going to all tie together neatly at the end.

The sinkhole- will they link this to the flood?

PseudoBadger · 22/06/2015 13:34

The sinkhole - Carole will hold some kind of ceremony and send Rob back down through it into the gates of hell. Maybe.

minkgrundy Have you heard a song called 'I'm gonna be like you Dad"? It's about a dad who's always too busy to play with his son, who grows up not wanting anything to spend any time with him either. Basically it's a 'What goes round comes ' message

ppeatfruit · 22/06/2015 13:47

Apologies for the typos Blush

PseudoBadger · 22/06/2015 13:55

Do you mean Cat's In The Cradle ppeat?

OP posts:
ppeatfruit · 22/06/2015 14:02

Yes the Cat's in the Cradle of course thanks Psuedo Grin A brilliant song.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 22/06/2015 19:11

Rob won't know what's hit him

Is that a precursor to rob doing the hitting?

Pip is soooooo irritating

Hadron21 · 22/06/2015 19:58

Pip and David playing The Glad Game is driving me mad. No one has conversations like that!

TeenAndTween · 22/06/2015 20:42

Off topic, but Cats in the Cradle was used as a chilling/upsetting anti Terrorist/Violence ad in Northern Ireland.

Icimoi · 22/06/2015 21:47

Talking of disappearing themes, what on earth happened to that storyline about Carol killing off her husband?

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/06/2015 22:12

Worth a look indeed TeenAndTween

Thank you.

Golfhotelromeofoxtrot · 22/06/2015 22:25

Ici I was going to post the same thing!

Was it resolved from meeting the son and him discounting it? Gave a different rational explanation for her behaviour?

R4 · 22/06/2015 22:49

It made me larf when Ruth was telling David to make sure that Pip went out celebrating the end of University. It sounded like giving instructions for a five year old to brush their teeth.
I haven't dared get involved in the DCs' social life since about Year 9.

ErrolTheDragon · 22/06/2015 23:07

Helen didn't sound altogether keen on rob being at the shop meeting, did she? But P&T feel they have to be positive and welcoming to rob despite their reservations.

ZeroFunDame · 22/06/2015 23:24

Actually, a cautious BOOP for whoever's overseeing the stroke story; for once they seem to be doing it properly.

ErrolTheDragon · 22/06/2015 23:57

Yes, sounds quite realistic to me in which case heatherpets fears will be well founded and she won't get home again.

squeaver · 23/06/2015 10:37

Ha! I can't wait to hear H tell Knob that they're booked for a slide show at P&T's next week.

ZeroFunDame · 23/06/2015 10:59

It's the new shop that's going to set things alight. All those little digs on Sunday about how he could get used to a life of hot and cold running Mrs Titchener ...Angry

selsigfach · 23/06/2015 20:13

Is it just me or is anyone else getting seriously creeped out by the Pip/David dynamic? It's like they're secretly in love with each other. Yuck.
