Deluged damp squid or not? And has Peggy been assisted off the mortal coil by Rob yet?
And when will JD and Brian remember Debbie?

I'd swap Kate for Scruff any day of the week.

ZeroFunDame · 12/03/2015 19:12

Come on Pat, wake up!

Why can't the shop move to Bridge Farm?

TopazRocks · 12/03/2015 19:13

Good for Phoebe!! Actually, Kate, how do you define A REAL MOTHER?

Iwantacampervan · 12/03/2015 19:15

Hummus and haloumi wraps (sounds delicious) !

Good for Phoebe.

minkGrundy · 12/03/2015 19:18

Grin at Kate saying "first world problems"

Kirk1 · 12/03/2015 19:18

Wow, did Peggy just manage to make Tony's welcome home party all about her instead?

Kirk1 · 12/03/2015 19:21

I know that there is a general dislike of the term "birth mother" on Mumsnet, but I do think the term is appropriate for women like Kate. Phoebes "real Mum" is Hayley, Kate. Deal with it.

ZeroFunDame · 12/03/2015 19:24

BOOP for this interesting new development - a shop once again at Bridge Farm.

How Rob will gnash his teeth - just when he thought he'd got Helen back under control.

And it will really enliven the Bridge Farm story to have the whole village dropping in every day.

Finally something potentially, properly good.

Minimammoth · 12/03/2015 19:31

Not caught up yet on tonight's epi. But yes was not A. Organics once a farm shop?

PseudoBadger · 12/03/2015 20:05

Will Peggy make it through to see another spring?!

OP posts:
GypsyFloss · 12/03/2015 20:20

I'm confused. Is Am. organic shop closed now then? Was it damaged too or had it been shut up once Helen decided she didn't want to be a shop lady any more ?

Agree with everyone's comments about it being all about Peggy. Nothing changes there does it.

Pseudo I'm hoping she won't make it as far as the party!

TopazRocks · 12/03/2015 20:22

I can imagine it going wrong again. At any rate the journey home alone will knacker Tony so much it won't be much fun for him. I wonder if she'll need an 'urgent' hair apt before it too.

TopazRocks · 12/03/2015 20:24

I didn't mean Tony would be travelling alone. I imagine Pat will bring him. Just wanted to clarify. Confused

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/03/2015 20:51

I think what's happened is that:

  1. The Village Shop is closed because of the floods.
  2. Ambridge Organics started off in the packing shed at Bridge Farm.
  3. The Village Shop is going to move temporarily to the packing shed at Bridge Farm.
  4. Zero and others are wondering if AO might move back there too.
  5. As far as we know, for the moment AO is soldiering on in Borchester.

(AllMimsy here with a Terry Pratchett-inspired name change, btw.)

ZeroFunDame · 12/03/2015 20:51

Gypsy we certainly haven't been told that it's closed yet - and I assume Borchester wasn't hit by flooding so Ambridge Organics should still be safe.

But, given that Helen has expressed her intention to close it down - to her DM's dismay - it would be a brilliant editorial move to replace the village shop with one at Bridge Farm. (I guess it will be introduced as "temporary" but will still be there when I'm 90.) Will be fascinating to see who gets Hazel's / the village's shop in the end.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 12/03/2015 21:15

Fallon will have her tea shoppe after all

cheminotte · 12/03/2015 21:24

Excellent thread title Pseudo . Marking place while I catch up.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 12/03/2015 21:57

Who broke lowfield? Where can I get my updates now!!!!

R4 · 12/03/2015 22:08

I don't see how a farm shop is meant to be a replacement for the village shop. The current shop is in the heart of the village, on the green. Bridge Farm is miles outside the village, on the other side of the river.

Selks · 12/03/2015 22:16

I haven't heard it the last couple of nights...did Scruff not make it? Sad

R4 · 12/03/2015 22:38

We don't know about Scruff. I think he will turn up at some stage. Do we want to run a sweepstake? - my guess is six months.

ErrolTheDragon · 12/03/2015 22:42

Our village shop closed, the nearest is a (rather good) farm shop. It's not exactly a substitute but way better than having to drive 15 minutes to the nearest supermarket. So it's not an unreal idea.

BOOP for Peggy not taking Kate's ridiculous guff about what 'uni' is for!

Minimammoth · 12/03/2015 23:22

Johnny would make a good grocery boy on a bike delivering to the old folk of the village.

enochroot · 12/03/2015 23:50

S'wonderful. S'marvellous,
The Ambridge Village Shoppe lives on at Bridge Farm. A hub for gossip. Helen won't be able to resist. Scarface-Knob will be miffed.

Tony's coming home. Peggy's snaffled all the attention and will SOTMC - or maybe not. WILL she, won't she?
