Deluged damp squid or not? And has Peggy been assisted off the mortal coil by Rob yet?
And when will JD and Brian remember Debbie?

Zero's List.
All those unresolved matters irritate me too. Perhaps we should bang away at them one by one as we're now reasonably sure the SWs read this.

It's all very well having crisis upon crisis in Ambridge but if the writers have to sketch over the detail to make time for the next crisis then it all becomes more and more implausible.

Halsall · 12/03/2015 09:30

Like the idea of stuffed Peggoi. She could become Ambridge's very own auto-icon, like Jeremy Bentham in his little glass case.

Alsoflamingo · 12/03/2015 10:02

FFS what was that absurd, saccharine reconciliation between Deeeevid and Rooth at the end of last night's episode???! Like something out of Mills & Boon. Really lazy work by the SWs I think - and an insult to the intelligence of listeners

Alsoflamingo · 12/03/2015 10:05

Just read back and saw Icimoi's post. In full agreement!!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 12/03/2015 10:48

Ooh hang on - if Adam and Iain break up, Iaian and Helen could move in together after he's helped her escape from Knob!

enochroot · 12/03/2015 10:58

Ah but where would they move into?
She lives in a house Rob rents. His shared home is flood-damaged.

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 12/03/2015 12:11

Sadly I think everything will have dried out and there will be somewhere to live available by the time she clocks on to him.

ppeatfruit · 12/03/2015 12:27

Thanks for the new thread psuedo Grin . Ref. The general SW and editing of TA; I think that it certainly isn't perfect and never has been actually BUT what is? Even JA would find it difficult to come up with endless interesting and 'tied up' plots. Maybe we are too critical and nit picking.Blush Though it does the producers good to know our views of course.

I will continue to listen because it's in my blood and I generally enjoy it!

JessieMcJessie · 12/03/2015 12:55

Gosh ppeat that holiday did you good! We're going to need ppeatpoints as well as BOOP points at this rate Smile.

Abraid2 · 12/03/2015 13:09

Basically: my complaint is that it's not like RL.

RL is often boring, inconsistent and random and can't be summarised in 15-minute nightly slots.

ppeatfruit · 12/03/2015 13:10

Thanks jessie Grin but I haven't been on holiday, it's just the thread moves soo fast Grin

Alsoflamingo · 12/03/2015 13:43

Ppeat you are quite right and I admit I may have been being overly critical. Just think it's important to keep those SWs on their toes given that we know they are regular lurkers here and to remind them that we do not require dumbing-down. Quite apart from the fact that there is nothing as gratifying as a good moan now and then….

Charles Collingwood's (ie Brian's) Red Nose Day joke (don't click on this if you don't want to see his picture).

Eastpoint · 12/03/2015 16:17

I think Chris C looks how I would expect Brian to look, I don't think most of the others do but he seems right.

LillianGish · 12/03/2015 16:32

Totally agree with Zero's list. What's the point in SATTC and then not following up the stories it throws up? I'm fine with a bit of drama, but I need some resolution as well. Wondering if the Hazel Wooley storyline might start to play out now the Grundys have been forced to move out. Just hearing from/about Peggy let alone finding out what's happening with her will would do for now. I've given up on any follow-up on Tom and Kirsty - I think the fact that he came back from Canada a new man is supposed to answer everything. David and Ruth's effortless reconciliation is a lazy end to what has always been an irritatingly unbelievable storyline. Following through on the flood in a realistic way is going to take some doing and frankly I doubt Soak is up to it based on his previous record (Hellin and Knob not withstanding).

minkGrundy · 12/03/2015 17:52

EAst i eas thinking exactly the same. That is Brian. But all the other actors I have seen look totally wrong. Weirdly the Hellin in my head looks like Tamsin Gregg and the actress who plays Hellin looks like the Debbie in my head.

dairyfarmerswife · 12/03/2015 18:22

Hi all

Can I draw your attention to this survey about the consumer's opinion on milk price, which is for a dissertation by a student at Rooth's old college (now a uni).

Thanks!

By the way it was very generous of Tom to let Brookfield have some of his organic silage when there's oodles of the stuff on the market this year. Ditto straw, masses of that too.

And I realise it makes a good story that everyone pulled together in Ambridge and vindicated David's decision to stay but in reality I am sure the rural community in Hadley Hoch (?) would have pulled together on exactly the same way, and included the newcomers too.

dairyfarmerswife · 12/03/2015 18:24

Oops, in my haste to discuss silage and straw I forgot the link www.survey.bris.ac.uk/harper-adams/milk_consumer_uk

GypsyFloss · 12/03/2015 18:49

Done dfw

dairyfarmerswife · 12/03/2015 18:54
