She's got a whole calendar to use!

That's the thing though isn't daddaddad - the episode didn't make it clear so a lot of people will be on tenterhooks tonight but if you read the synopsis it gives out far more detail. So it kind of is a spoiler but in a weird way!

minklundy · 14/11/2014 13:06

...unless as predicted they just don't tell you what happened and start talking about restocking the shop or Borefield. Ambridge amnesia.

Bakeoffcakes · 14/11/2014 13:08

I expect Rob will use this as another excuse, to guilt trip Helen into thinking she shouldn't leave Henry's side, or their cottage ever againSad

mummytime · 14/11/2014 13:49

Well that spoiler is huge - maybe the problem is the script writers just can't write for radio - as I didn't get all that from listening.

Todays taster is a bit of a spoiler, as it rules out lots of outcomes.

cheminotte · 14/11/2014 13:55

I'm deliberately avoiding reading the synopsis although I heard the episode as it shouldn't need explaining (just like a film of a book should not require you to have read the book for it to make sense).

BringYourOwnSnowman · 14/11/2014 13:59

Don't read the episode synopsis chem as it doesn't leave much unexplained. It is as if they wrote the dialogue for tv forgetting this is radio! A lot of the things they have included you would have no way of knowing just by listening

choccyp1g · 14/11/2014 13:59

There's no way you could have worked out what happened according to the synopses from the jumbled mumbling, mooing and yelling that went on.
It's true that you have to be careful around animals, especially large ones, but it is a bit unrealistic that someone gets trampled EVERY time they move stock or mention the bull.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 14/11/2014 14:04

Re the jolly music

After Nigel's aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh - wasn't there a few moments silence before ca stepped in?

AllThoseDirtyWords · 14/11/2014 14:10

Sorry had to pop out.

I know I was only going to listen to it again and stupidly clicked it, ruined tonight a bit now. I think Bringyourown is right, you were left on tenterhooks but reading that gives away (a small part I know suspect) of tonight ep.

I think this is maybe more of a vehicle for the Rob & Helen storyline being hurried along rather than slow burn build up.

DadDadDad · 14/11/2014 14:16

Does anyone think Piggoi may peg it post-party?

Perhaps, pollycazalet - do you particularly prefer posters to pontificate on that poser alliteratively?

cheminotte · 14/11/2014 14:16

Just caught repeat. It does sound like Tony is in pain..
On another topic - would Jim be suitable to play Charles in Blythe Spirit?

BringYourOwnSnowman · 14/11/2014 14:25

I think Roy will play Charles

Because he is hot (as attested by carol) and single (Hayley and Abbie? Who are they? Never heard of them) rob will be consumed by a jealous rage and tell Helen how crap she is blah blah. Then after the first night he will probably hit her for the first time and that will be the pleasant Boxing Day episode we can look forward to

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/11/2014 14:32

Thanks for the link to the synopsis. Like others, I couldn't possibly glean all that, even after listening twice.

I think the sw's think that the various voices are more distinctive to the listener than they actually are.

Especially when overlaid with mooing, crashing noises and high emotion.

DadDadDad · 14/11/2014 14:35

Why is no-one asking the important question: will Peggy make it to her hair appointment?!

cryhavoc · 14/11/2014 14:37

If I ever used LOL I would have done so after reading that, DadDadDad. Very amusing. Just like Ed describing George's picture. I'm very fond of Ed, and desperately want Good Things to happen to him.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/11/2014 14:38

All shall be revealed this evening...

I think it's a plot device to enable Rob to be odious to Pat and Tony at the party, ruining the evening, distressing Peggy who later dies alone and slightly tipsy muttering about potholes.

Thus freeing up the inheritance and clearing the way for Rob and Helen in the Dower House and the return of King Sausage.

PseudoBadger · 14/11/2014 15:07

I think Tony may die. All signs pointed to Peggy's passing Wink but actually Tony tottles off the mortal coil.

RocknRollNerd · 14/11/2014 15:24

Surely the point is that they want us to wait to find out what happened but they have described it in detail!

But based on past post-cliffhanger espisodes what we'll probably get is 14 mins of Cathy whingeing in the shop about something and Kenton and Jolene squabbling over optics whilst either Oliver or Robert is reasonable and jolly elsewhere.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 14/11/2014 15:30

I think this will be like the Jess turning up episode. Tonight will start from the point last night left off

Or Charlie for Charles? The Gays do love to perform, don't you know!

Speaking of whom, when he broke the news about the contract to Adam, I didn't pick up hint that Something Nasty happened in the combine cab, so maybe it was just a heavy hint of Charlie's orientation rather than an offer that Adam took him up on, IYSWIM.

RocknRollNerd · 14/11/2014 15:43

Or it could be like Adam's previous dalliances and the plot just gets quietly dropped...
