I did like that tiny little glimmer of humour in the gloom, StillLife! Just the right amount of embarrassment in David's voice there.

GypsyFloss · 17/11/2014 19:39

Is Eddies's turkey enterprise going to suffer due to avian flu?

BringYourOwnSnowman · 17/11/2014 20:18

i reckon eddie will become a youtube millionaire once his turkey show is streamed and there will be a reversal in the grundys fortunes due to his new found wealth (maybe they will but brookfield!!)

sounds like brian doesn't have the resources to outbid justin

guineapiglet · 17/11/2014 22:04

I'm quite looking forward to Eddie getting dressed as a turkey and the mystic fortune telling, before avian flu'arrives from the Netherlands obviously....

Is it possible that Rob has continued to shag Jess beyond Valentines Day i.e has an ongoing thing with her, surely the baby is either well overdue or at least another old by now as others have said... No way would Jess disappear into the ether... And where is Alan??? Surely he would be offering comfort to Peggy and Co, Jill and Co and Roy and family, there is souch need for a hands on vicar to offer care...

ErrolTheDragon · 17/11/2014 22:25

Hopefully Jim and Lynda will be able to prove Justin's corruption and D&R won't take his bid so the sale will be off and then the sink hole will do whatever it's going to do and Route B will be no more.

BTW, when listing the Home Farm enterprises I don't think Adam's polytunnel strawberry empire was mentioned.

mummytime · 17/11/2014 22:52

On Valentines Day, Rob was not shagging either Jess or Helen. He took Helen out on the 13th, but was at a "conference" or similar on the 14th and that was when Jess turned up on the doorstep and discovered/tried to warn Helen.

So I think he was still "seeing" Jess for a while after this. I also think his parents could spill a lot about what he has been getting up to, maybe his Mum was phoning to challenge him about Jess.

I loved Jim fishing for the part of Charles in the play (i would think he was a bit old).

BringYourOwnSnowman · 17/11/2014 23:05

oh that's right - on valentines day he was shagging his other wife (or so was speculated!!)

yes so we have our dates wrong

how long ago did she appear? Maybe it is a christmas birth after all!

Bluestocking · 18/11/2014 00:08

Will the Ambridge pub have to be renamed? It might be too upsetting for the Bridge Farm posse.

Bluestocking · 18/11/2014 00:09

And YY to lovely Lyndipops and Jim - they are so funny together. Poor old Dopey Dave catching the pair of them in Jim's hot rod.

unitarian · 18/11/2014 00:18

When Jess turned up on Valentines Day she said something like, 'He was in my bed' about a previous absence of his so I reckoned the baby would have been born around the beginning of Nov - Halloween or Hunt Ball time.

Any later then he's been DTD with Jess since then which seems over-reckless on his part and pretty desperate on hers.

Meanwhile Jim and Linda are most definitely going to succeed in exposing BL's corruption and I'm relieved Brian took the news about Brookfield auction in his stride and there's not going to be a family feud - yet.

GypsyFloss · 18/11/2014 06:24

BYOS Eddie as a YouTube star would make me very happy. And fulfill the educational brief of educating us all on the various workings of social media etc.

Bluestocking The Quarterpounder perhaps?

PetulaGordino · 18/11/2014 06:33

I think we speculated about whether the conception was later than the early February date back when Jess turned up pregnant at blossom. I seem to remember that someone noted that Jess had specifically referred to the early feb contact as the point of conception?

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 18/11/2014 07:16

I'm a bit rusty on expected due dates and so forth now, but if Jess conceived in early Feb we might expect that her last menstrual period was in late Jan. Counting 40 weeks from then, this baby is either now well overdue or already born.

Errol, how could I forget the strawberries when Adam and Ian had their first kiss in the polytunnels!

BringYourOwnSnowman · 18/11/2014 08:57

I guess Jess my wait for the baby to be a few weeks old before turning up on the doorstep.

Although I'm hoping its not robs and he uses this as another stick to beat her with 'how could you have had any doubts etc'

mollister · 18/11/2014 10:45

What is the betting that Eddie cannot find a fancy dress turkey costume and has to come as a sort of Holiday Armadillo?

trevortrevorslattery · 18/11/2014 10:52

Grin at Baby Jessus - brilliant!
I loved last night's episode. Eddie is brilliant. And Lynda and Jim.

And Brine: "Looking after someone else's farm is like taking another man's wife to dinner" / David:" I wouldn't know"

DadDadDad · 18/11/2014 11:34

This thread will end on 23 November*

*terms and conditions apply, past performance is not necessarily a guide to future returns, mists of prophecy can be obscure, rampant bulls and character bombshells may result in increased levels of posting which may affect the maturity value of this thread. (And I think it's quite possible this thread will make it to 24 November).

minklundy · 18/11/2014 12:06

trevor i liked that too.
i also liked the awkward moment when he tapped on the car window of Lynda and Jim. do you think he was meant to be implying they were out dogging i wonder if there will be a comedy plot twist where rumours start and/or the police are involved to check up on couple seen frequenting layby.

way up thread someone asked about B'field bull. no they don't have one. Rooth specifically mentioned doing the AI this year.

i am betting Tom gets a mention tonight.

and yes i think jess will turn up in her own good time. tbh if you were having Knob's baby would you want him there at the birth? or when you were feeling vulnerable?

mummytime · 18/11/2014 12:27

Oh even better (if you are listening SWs) Ursula to turn up with the news or to support Jess - at Christmas/the play of course!

songbird · 18/11/2014 12:40

Posted this on the spoiler thread when it's more general discussion rather than spoiler-related and was told off by Zero

Tom will presumably be coming back for good, not just a fleeting visit, so it's plausible that it's taking some time to get his things in order in Canada if he's not returning there.

What's completely implausible is that no-one has mentioned him!!!

Also, Rob won't like Tom coming back will he?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 18/11/2014 12:52
Grin
trevortrevorslattery · 18/11/2014 13:52

Ha ha mink yes David was obviously taken aback when he came upon the two of them!
