She's got a whole calendar to use!

OP posts:
BringYourOwnSnowman · 17/11/2014 14:30

It would be totally unrealistic for Tom to turn up with no one mentioning him and/or being surprised.

His dad is fighting for his life - why on earth would he not come back immediately. Unless the sw think the only way across the Atlantic is by boat

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 17/11/2014 14:34

Ah - yes that could be the explanation. Rob secretly putting it into Johnny's mind that he is no longer wanted at Bridge Farm - while at the same time praising him to the family.

mollister · 17/11/2014 14:40

Oh yes, the evil Rob is probably poisoning poor Johnny whilst bigging him u back at the farmhouse. We haven't heard the last of that story line. what happened to the pregnant ex??
did anyone else pick up on the comment last night from Brian about parcelling up Bridge Farm with a bit of land and then selling it on? Ruth and David wouldn't be happy.
I don't care what the producers say on R4 I cannot get my head around R and D going. They - and Bridge Farm, are the heart of the programme around which the rest revolves.
This may be why I am depressed on this rainy November Monday

trevortrevorslattery · 17/11/2014 14:48

Is there a stable round the back of the Bull? I reckon Jess will be turning up on Christmas Eve looking for a manger with en-suite Grin

RocknRollNerd · 17/11/2014 15:24

I swear to god that Ambridge must have it's own dimension in time and space such that it is totally unreachable by normal means of travel. I actually looked back at the thread from when Chris got hurt and I'd googled how much it would cost to get the next available flight back from Canada and it was about £800. It's utterly inconceivable that given Lils and Jenny are at the hospital that there is no-one prepared to spring for the last minute flight across the Atlantic - a few hundred quid is not beyond Brine or Matt and both of them are actually jolly good 'do the right thing' type chaps in this kind of situation I suspect.

The longer running SATTC bit from this will be if it brings Tom back as I can't see him handling Johnny-come-lately being installed at the farm well; given the whole reason he sacked off the wedding and went to Canada was to get away from the pressure to replace John.

And yy - there is far too much major plot going on at the moment.

mollister · 17/11/2014 15:29

Ooh, I like the no room at the inn plot. What a Christmas cracker that would be and an unmasking of 'Lovely Rob' to spoil the fun.
Totes agree about Canada not being on Mars. Mind you I used to watch East Enders and if anyone went to Manchester they never came back.Ever.

RocknRollNerd · 17/11/2014 15:30

Oh I love the idea of a Christmas Nativity scene with Jess Grin.

mollister · 17/11/2014 15:53

I know there has to be some action and it can't all be about yoghurt and Mrs Snell's am dram but after a tough day at work I look forward to the calming effect of the Archers at 7pm with a glass of wine and the supper on. I'm all for some shennaniggins (sp?) such as Jess giving birth in the hay or festival frolics or Borsetshire Land up to no good but that is as far as I want it to go.
There is EastEnders creep in my view, where if we don't have some death and gore they think we will switch off.
We are not like that, there is plenty of blood and stuff on TV, the Archers is gentle, or it should be.

KatieKaye · 17/11/2014 17:34

I'm Forry that the departure of the Tucker's means we will never have a long term storyline about Bethany. Way back when it was revealed she had DS loads of folk on the ML board voiced their scepticism about the SWs ability to do this send they were right. A missed opportunity to show how a child with DS and her family cope with everyday life.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 17/11/2014 17:41

Yes agree Katie. Sending her away is a bit of a cop out but I'm sure they will bring her back for a point and stare before sending her away again. Nothing like a sensitively handled storyline

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/11/2014 17:52

Awwww, to little baby Jessus Nativity Grin

And yes, TitchyKnob is isolating RichJohn Angry

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/11/2014 18:11

At the beginning of the year, elsewhere in the Webiverse, someone posted some long-term spoilers (apparently someone had overheard "an obnoxiously loud member of TA production team" in a Birmingham restaurant).

Much that was foretold has come to pass, including Jill moving to Brookfield, Tony's accident and Lynda's staging of Blythe Spirit Shock

There may be more to come...

BringYourOwnSnowman · 17/11/2014 18:22

Oh bore - you are going to have to pm me with details now as I need to know whether I should just give up now and not waste my life!!

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/11/2014 18:30

You have mail Smile

BasketzatDawn · 17/11/2014 18:45

Knowing that would really annoy me. I'd want to stab the annoying prod team member with a fork or summat. Grin

Well, I've just been checking the festation (spooky! It did come up as that. largely bc my fingers are fat and f and g are beside each other on the keyboard) calculator on Jess's behalf, and if conception was around 13 th Feb. or earlier (it was the weekend before, wasn't it? 13th was when Knob was impregnating some Essex girl) baby Jessus is now overdue. He/She should have arrived in 1st week of November. Of course she could still be pregnant but no way is that baby staying in till its namesake's birthday!!

I like to think Jess has gone back to her mum's in Surry with the new-born, and because Knob was such a callous bastard when last she saw him, she has decided to keep quiet for now. After all it's not just in Ambridge that things are awfie busy. At some point in the future she will give him some kind of shock, like a lawyer's letter or similar. Helen won't ask as she believes Knob that he is not the father

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/11/2014 18:50

I'm hoping Jess will turn up clutching the infant Jessus wrapped in a shawl at a conspicuously inopportune moment to cause thRob max embarrassment!

BasketzatDawn · 17/11/2014 18:55

And of course the Knob face (you know how babies nearly always look like their dad) will be peeking out of the shawl. Everyone else will immediately realise it's Knob's child. But poor deluded Helen will continue to be, well, poor and deluded. And there will be talk .....

cheminotte · 17/11/2014 18:59

Hampshire rather than Surrey I think Basketz (nothing more useful to add.

GypsyFloss · 17/11/2014 19:02

I've been lurking in Peet's Bore and saw mention of that but couldn't find the original post about the spoilers. Please may I have mail too if you have time?

BasketzatDawn · 17/11/2014 19:06

Thanks, chemi, I sit corrected! I used to not know the difference anyway ......

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 17/11/2014 19:15

Lynda and Jim are so funny together.

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/11/2014 19:16

I sometimes lurk in Sue's Gypsy, and saw it there.

PM sent!

Shall I start an Archers Spoilers thread and put it in there?

StillLifewithGin · 17/11/2014 19:18

Dogging... Whatever next?

polyhymnia · 17/11/2014 19:18

Yes, good idea !

BringYourOwnSnowman · 17/11/2014 19:21

Good idea - maybe a sw will see and stop/go depending on our feedback!!!
