BasketzatDawn · 13/11/2014 01:35

And here was me assuming it was The Avengers you were all gripped by on the TV. Grin

guineapiglet · 13/11/2014 08:38

....we, anyone seen Roy lately..?

Another storyline which has mysteriously and totally unrealistic ally dried up. There is no way Hayley could just take Abbie away without legal agreement, Roy could easily dispute her right to do so. And she wouldn't leave Feebs for so long, despite F visiting Brum. I feel this has been left to hang whilst the ludicrous selling of the birthright of Brookfield shambles on.....Hmm

cheminotte · 13/11/2014 09:35

I think you might be allowed to mention tv programmes on here Dadx3 - it does really annoy me when TV programmes are trailed on the radio though. Especially when I was living abroad and listening on LW!

Good taste Basketz - I think Sid, like Brine would be very annoying irl but was an interesting character to listen to.
Getting excited about the party tonight (over-infested).

ppeatfruit · 13/11/2014 09:58

I was wondering if it's ok to post before DDD's prediction comes true. Yes? Well David saying to shxx Brine "it's not a fire sale you know". Had a bit of prescience. Our 'nice' Brian has now shown his true colours, I noted he said "Jenny and I" also I don't think Adam knows about his dastardly game.

Poor Rooth thinking he's a Good Fairy in brogues . Yes to poster who said there' ll be an almighty row.

BitOutOfPractice · 13/11/2014 10:20

Ha! Ken Bruce just read out a birthday request for Peggy! Grin

ppeatfruit · 13/11/2014 10:26

Nooo I'm listening to KB and didn't hear it??!! (well it's on, which of course it not the same as listening Grin).

BitOutOfPractice · 13/11/2014 10:54

He did it amongst the love song requests

ppeatfruit · 13/11/2014 11:00

Darn (i'm not quite as over infested to Catch Up though, I admit it went through my mind Blush). Too early yet anyhow Blush

Love the Ray Brooks "best of my years."

DadDadDad · 13/11/2014 11:02

I was wondering if it's ok to post before DDD's prediction comes true.

Not sure what you mean, ppeat...

All posts were foreseen, and that this thread ends today is destiny. Post or do not post, destiny will not be denied.

ppeatfruit · 13/11/2014 11:42

What I mean M. Mystic is "will there be anybody here……." Before posting to no one, because Pseudo has carried out her job description.

JessieMcJessie · 13/11/2014 11:49

Do we think (before she FOTMC) that Peggy will make a snarky remark about Johnny's cat calendar? I imagine it to be one of those ones with a huge sickly sweet pic on each page, printed on cheap paper and sold in a stall outside Superdrug in the middle of a down-at-heel shopping precinct. Whereas Piggoi is more of the National Trust Gift Shop calendar type I imagine.

They really are signalling madly for the party -Helen and the hairdresser trip, Pat on her food course, Eddie coming over to do some work, Ian, Jim and Rob being there, two types of mini quiche on offer, Peggy sounding tired on the phone,Johnny having doubts about her- am rather intrigued to find out what plotline will bring all these strands together!

ppeatfruit · 13/11/2014 12:02

Yes JessieMc I laughed quietly at the description of the 'printed in China' calendar with little kitties on it !!

What do we reckon then at the party an Emmerdale type plane falls on it or a Hollyoaks type fire breaks out?

JessieMcJessie · 13/11/2014 12:11

A huge conflagration fuelled by all the booze dropped off by Tiger and Pusscat?

ppeatfruit · 13/11/2014 12:43

Grin Grin That'll teach all them piss artists!!!!!!

trevortrevorslattery · 13/11/2014 12:48

Unit that's interesting about your issues with the local authority figures.. I was thinking from a developer's point of view what a pain in the @rse it is to get anything approved becasue of the level of analysis, reports, figures etc that are needed.

Pseudo and others.. for positive chat I couldn't put it better than Icimoi - That episode has set up a splendid fight, to be fair. Brine will be foaming at the mouth at Deavid putting profit above family, them Adam will accidentally let slip that the plan was to sell the family farmhouse off as quickly and profitably as they could, and everyone will go ballistic. - should be brilliant.

As for characters, Tiger and Pusscat are my favourites.
Also, I actually like Pip! I like her voice and I thought the actress was good! I like Vicky too.

Araminta to be fair to Rooth she did say she wanted to be with her mam during the coldest months - Jan and Feb are definitely worse than Nov and Dec up here (I live pretty close to Prudhoe). It's snowed here in March and April plenty of times too, not just on high ground either. BRRRR.

Poor Johnny. I hope Peggy likes his calendar. I hope she is still around to make use of it

JessieMcJessie · 13/11/2014 12:57

I like Vicky too and wish we could hear her and Mike discussing Roy's affair. I have a special place in my heart for Jazzer, who gets some stonking lines, and I am really enjoying Johnny. However I am happiest when Brian is on air (so v happy now), particularly if Matt is also in the scene. As for departed characters I do not mourn that boring old fart Phil but I do miss Nigel and "Mummy".

BoreOfWhabylon · 13/11/2014 13:02

Mystic Bore predicts:

Piggoi will not FOHMC at party but there will be massive mix-up over hairdresser appointment and titchKnob will ride to the rescue (and it will be ALL Hellin's fault)

Piggoi will be vile to RichJohn, possibly leading to PnT asking her to leave and titchKnob taking her home, thereby earning more brownie points.

The Brookfield sale will be called off at the 11th hour, due to Lyndy and Jim somehow thearting the Route B plans (the crystal is murky as to precisely how this is to be achieved)

This thread will end ere midnight as foretold by Mystic Dad...

BoreOfWhabylon · 13/11/2014 13:04

*thwarting

ppeatfruit · 13/11/2014 13:12

Ref. characters I miss; I actually miss Dan and Doris (they had lovely comfortable voices). (blimey that DOES age me)

Walter Gabriel a bit (he always sounded like he needed to clear his throat)

Uncle Tom had a nice countryey voice.

The dog woman. Marjorie Antrobus.

Nelson was fun a very sarky type but very funny too.

guineapiglet · 13/11/2014 13:39

I seem to remember Nelson was BFF with Elizabeth round about the time of her dodgy relationship with ... er, was it someone called Simon? Wasn't he the father of the baby she had terminated? Before Nigel came to her rescue.. Am I remembering this correctly?

unitarian · 13/11/2014 14:06

Trevor As far as I can tell the stats I want to see don't exist. They can't possibly exist. It is an assertion that is bandied about at meetings, appears in reports and presentations and is accepted as being correct because it is oft repeated.
I think Jim is on to something.

trevortrevorslattery · 13/11/2014 14:33

Unitarian that is terrible! Do you think you will be able to get to the bottom of it?

Gozogozo · 13/11/2014 15:24

Trevor - completely unrelated to anything at all - is your name a tribute to Boutros Boutros Ghali? (excuse sp)

unitarian · 13/11/2014 15:26

Only by doing my own stats, Trevor, and I know that what is said to be measured is immeasurable!
The question is how much revenue does industry A bring into the area. I work in industry B so I can produce stats for our bit of that (and know how difficult it is to produce really accurate stats) but I know that the revenue of Industry B is not taken into account by the LA so it's safe to assume that industry C -Zs revenue isn't included either to off-set this mythical figure for industry A.
Meanwhile all local policy decisions favour Industry A.

Also, many of our clients visit here from all over and their peripheral spending whilst visiting counts to Industry A's advantage.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 13/11/2014 15:44

Has anyone seen Pseudo? Getting a bit nervous now. What would happen if we ran out of thread? Would it create a hole in the space time vortex, or similar?
