Ha! Roy left strings dangling - what when you ordered him out with no notice!!!

CuttedUpPear · 20/10/2014 19:12

Urgh it is gross how keen Roy was when Lizbeth rang up.
What the jeff is he thinking? After all that hand wringing? Grim.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 20/10/2014 19:13

He's trying to be decent and she's just using him again is all I hear...

Talk about toying with his affections. I know he was the married one but I still think she's acted like a heartless cow!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 20/10/2014 19:15

Yes David and Ruth - a panic sale is your best option

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 20/10/2014 19:16

When my DM says "I'm listening..." I quake in my middle aged boots....

unitarian · 20/10/2014 19:17

He was definitely looking for a way back in though! So much for doing everything he can to make it work with Hayley. He'll go to whichever woman will have him.

Icimoi · 20/10/2014 20:22

Rotaboy was so not just trying to be decent. Just look at the way he was pumping Caroline for information about Lizzie even before she phoned. The stupid idiot obviously thinks that if Hayley's not around he might as well try again with the middle-aged tart - conveniently forgetting that there's no surer way of totally killing his relationship with Feebs and that (I hope) Lizzie's still going to put Frilly first.

CuttedUpPear · 20/10/2014 20:30

I can't remember - who is Frilly? Blush Jill?

PumpkinGordino · 20/10/2014 20:36

fred+lil

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 20/10/2014 21:01

Lizzie will put the most important person in her life first as usual

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 20/10/2014 21:04

Roy's life is in free fall so I don't think he is thinking rationally

He is the master of his own downfall but I think he's completely out of control now

Selks · 20/10/2014 22:36

Roy really is grim, trying to worm his way in with Lizzie. The sooner he has a pheasant induced car crash the better.

unitarian · 20/10/2014 23:51

Roy doesn't deserve Hayley so I hope she finds career fulfilment and a lovely bloke either in or out of Ambridge. If the latter then I hope she becomes great friends with Jess and plagues the stuffing out of Helen until she opens her eyes.

Roy? I think Liz is going to offer him his job back because the poor thing can't cope. They're going to end up together and regretting it. I can feel it in my water.

Collective Phrilly will be even more outraged and I wait eagerly for Freddie to discover his power as heir.
Freddie and Phoebe are going to fall in love. (Phreddie?)

unitarian · 20/10/2014 23:54

Jill is going to be livid that she's the last to know.

PseudoBadger · 21/10/2014 07:43

BYOS - we'll have to do a north london/abbey road/Archers meet up!

Pickledradish · 21/10/2014 08:02

Ooh, I read that Mr O'Connor interview.

So he was involved in "Footballers' Wives" - my guilty pleasure telly Grin. Do you think he could write a part for Zoe Lucker (Tanya Turner)? She could be Justin Elliott's cut-throat but glamourous girlfriend.

ppeatfruit · 21/10/2014 09:39

I found an old book about TA and it says the "affair' between John Tregorran and JD was for the most part "IN HIS MIND" . I'm going to Archers land in 2 hours be back in a week or so Grin

LillianGish · 21/10/2014 10:35

I agree Unitarian - it sounds like Roy of the Rotas might be back at LL before long. Especially as his replacement has to communicate through the medium of mime!

PumpkinGordino · 21/10/2014 10:36

haha yes lil re geraldine. i did think similarly when elizabeth complained that geraldine doesn't communicate!

GypsyFloss · 21/10/2014 10:57

I'm really confused about the farm sale nonsense. I thought it was originally to do with Rooth insisting that they move nearer her mother but now it is all about what will happen when the road is announced? Did we hear that switch of priorities?

Rotaboy will be back shagging the tart by the end of Sunday...just as Hayley returns home to have a chat about the way forward. I really want a huuuggggee disappointed "oh" from Jill when she hears what her daughter has been up to.

I also want the witch Carol to poison JD's shoot lunch as revenge Grin

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 21/10/2014 11:02

EnvyI want a witty name change NOW.

PumpkinGordino · 21/10/2014 11:08

also what was that about peggy's 90th birthday and a marquee on the green. seriously? you're going to suggest that a 90yo woman should sit outside in a tent in november? and six weeks (or whatever it was) is not much time to plan a big event, but that is standard for TA

justiceofthePeas · 21/10/2014 11:27

I thought marquee remark was a joke and just symbolised 'a big fuss'.

Roy makes me grind my teeth. Oh Elizabeth. Wag wag waggy tail.

Glad deevid is a bit Hmm with her. Dunno why everyone is so fine with it. Ok so Roy is the married one but she is an employer. If she was a bloke who shagged then sacked a member of staff there would be a sexual harrassment tribunal.

And FFS it is only managing a hotel/conference venue. Roy is not the only flipping manager in the world. Why is Lizzie so flaming helpless? Cannot help run her business, couldn't help shagging Rotaboy. Etc. Etc. Useless!!

Panzee · 21/10/2014 11:28

Agreed, GypsyFloss, surely Ruth's mum needs looking after now? A frail old lady might no longer be around by the time of the road announcement, making the whole thing a waste of time.

Maybe R&D have forgotten why they're going!

PumpkinGordino · 21/10/2014 11:29

fair enough justice - i find it hard to tell because everything carol says seems to be said wryly!
