Robbieeeee! It's meee, it's Jessieeee! I've come home. I'm so cold! Let me in-a-your window. The Archers pay homage to Wuthering Heights?

Rob also arrived with what he thought was an amusing anecdote a few weeks ago about how one of the underlings had had an accident and lost teeth. He's all-round nasty.

Brilliant predicting by DadDadDad and thanks for the new title, Pseudo.

squeaver · 19/10/2014 12:29

Jumping in early on this thread as I completely missed posting on the last one. So apologies if all of this has been said...

What happened to Roy's financial settlement from Lizzie? that all gone very quiet.

This whole selling Brookfield is such a non-starter. There's no way they're going to leave. It's the land sale equivalent of Roof's non-affair with whatsisname the herdsman.

Could Rob get fired and take over Roy's job at LL? Causing Lizzie to throw herself at him in a massive rebound move?

cheminotte · 19/10/2014 16:52

Thanks for the new thread Pseudo . Listened to some of the film today and thought Rob posting whatever himself must be significant as otherwise he'd have asked Helen to do it as she's a SAHM.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 19/10/2014 19:10

KATE! (SilentSad )

Jake (with a voice!)

And Brian and Roy - like calls to like...

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 19/10/2014 19:17

Yes - has Hayley abandoned her chickens?

Where does that leave Neil and Josh?

PureDeadBrilliant · 19/10/2014 19:55

I missed it tonight, and have no iPlayer, and am out tomorrow. Can anyone give me the gist ?

PseudoBadger · 19/10/2014 20:18

Love the chicken giving Roy a piece of its mind at the end!

How can Brookfield farm be sold if Kenton and Shula (maybe others) are entitled to a share?

And rob the knob .....'i was frantic darling when I couldn't get in touch with you!' Just let me check on ALL your movements and make sure you you ask my permission before you go anywhere, more like.

Roy is the biggest liar under the sun! "I loved it with Elizabeth then when I went home to Hayley and the girls it was lovely!" Lying shit, he did nothing but snap and snarl at Hayley and let her know nothing she did was right. His pathetic bleating is giving the Ambridge sheep a run for their money.

unitarian · 19/10/2014 20:21

I'm listening to it late so I'll try and give the gist as it happens.

Jennifer and Brian - Kate has been in touch with Feebs, J is hostile to Roy but Brian less so.
Brian forbidden to touch the John T books which seem to be vaguely occult.

Joe & Eddie, tasting cider on Apple Day. Will on pheasants - Justin coming to shoot - lots of anxiety.

Joe & Carol - Joe says Susan has sussed out the Affair, tries to get info out of Jennifer. Carol neatly shuts him up.

Roy & Brian - B came to see how he is. B thinks Hayley will come back.

Jenny & Carol - C asks about John's books.
J & Will - food for Shoot on 4th. Sloe Gin & Sausages. Eddie wants Mexican souvenirs from Will & Emma's honeymoon. Why?

Carol & Joe - Carol curious about cider club, wants to join. Joe says yes!

Roy pouring heart out to Brian. Roy beyond reason now, sobbing. Hang in there. Chin up. That's Brian's advice - but he means well!

Dum de dum de dum de dum........

Carol annoys me.
Roy's definitely suicidal.

unitarian · 19/10/2014 20:23

Sorry, Kate spoke to Roy. Feebs is in Brum with Hayley.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/10/2014 20:31

What does Kate say? Bit hypocritical of her to criticise

If they do go down the suicide storyline they will totally fuck feebs up. Which I don't think I can be bothered with as its pretty nasty.

PetulaGordino · 19/10/2014 20:48

poor phoebe is having an existential crisis. we haven't heard anything from mike and vicki recently have we?

LillianGish · 19/10/2014 20:53

I'm hoping Lynda Snell will opt for Samuel Beckett's Not I - or perhaps a selection of his one-woman shows. Real festive fayre!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/10/2014 21:10

Or maybe Waiting for Godot - with Lynda in all roles....

Or Lynda doing all the roles in The Lion King. She is very versatile you know

QueenArseClangers · 19/10/2014 21:11

Evening all, I'm rather late to the thread(s) and hope I can join in with
TA appreciation.
Brian didn't sound at all comfortable with Roy of the Rotas tonight. I imagined him tentatively patting Roy's polyester clad back whilst Roy dry sobbed next to the bucket of poultry mash.

JollyGolightly · 19/10/2014 21:17

You know you're an arse when you're taking relationship advice from Brian Aldridge.

JollyGolightly · 19/10/2014 21:20

And thanks for the new thread!

PetulaGordino · 19/10/2014 21:21

it'll probably just be lynda reading the night before christmas or something

a sad disappointment after the potential monologues suggested here

PseudoBadger · 19/10/2014 21:37

Maybe she'll read excerpts from Postman Pat?

OP posts:
ZeroSomeGameThingy · 19/10/2014 21:40

Ha! I saw "Not I" just a few weeks ago. It would make a brilliant TA episode (with attendant yokel commentary from Joe etc). Almost as surreal as the silent film episode.

Oddly enough the two accompanying pieces "Footfalls" and "Rockaby" would probably rather suit Lynda - although obviously lacking any tinsel element.

But I'm sure she'd want to do something vaguely challenging for the audience.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 19/10/2014 21:42

Nice Pseudo. Crossover audience.Grin

Bluestocking · 19/10/2014 21:47

Love the idea of Lyndipops doing Beckett. Happy Days, with Bert Froi as Willie?

I liked Brian's line about NSBL being "sophisticated lady of the manor". He really doesn't get out enough any more, does he?

Selks · 19/10/2014 21:56

Roy is a total turd. His weeping and wailing is all about him and what he's lost, not the devastation and pain he's caused to others. Selfish toad.
