Can you podcast on the commute?

sneezecakesmum - I don't understand so maybe it's not bleeding obvious. Is there some connection between Helen in TA and the R4 prog Clare in the Community? I know there's a Helen in CitC played by Liza Tarbuck but I can't work out the relevance.Confused

ErrolTheDragon · 12/06/2014 21:38

I think Rob's continuing digs at Kirsty serve to try to erode Helen's confidence in her own judgement and to discourage friendships with anyone who works for her.

He seemed almost pleased by the bad PR for Berrow farm... is that just because it's particularly bad for Charlie?

DadDadDad · 12/06/2014 21:41

Ah, but at least Rob admits he's wrong 0.1% of the time!

I was driving past Cereals event as I was listening to Adam attending it with Charlie - weird intersecting of real life and TA

WillieWaggledagger · 12/06/2014 21:44

DDD there are similarities in voice between sally philips as CITC and the actress who plays helen, but they aren't the same person. i don't hear them as all that similar, but lots of people have commented on it so can clearly hear something that i can't!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/06/2014 21:55

I am going to have to, and other bits an pieces on 4 extra,

WillieWaggledagger · 12/06/2014 21:56

and there's always that chap that puts them online so they're available after the 7 days is up

DadDadDad · 12/06/2014 22:49

OK - I can sort of hear a resemblance between Clare's voice and Helen's voice now you mention it, but it's not one that I'd noticed, and they are pretty distinct in my mind. (Not least because I have a clear image of what Sally Philips looks like and it doesn't correspond to my mental image of Helen).

WillieWaggledagger · 13/06/2014 04:20

Yes I think that must be why I don't hear the resemblance so strongly - in my head I can clearly picture Sally Philips for CITC and that's not how I picture Helen at all

DadDadDad · 13/06/2014 07:35

So, tricky question, which Brian would you rather be married to: the one in TA or the one in CitC?

ppeatfruit · 13/06/2014 09:48

I love Sally Philips in Miranda Grin

Sneezecakesmum · 13/06/2014 09:54

Sorreeeee! My mistake I thought I had read that somewhere, and they sound similar to me Blush

Helen remains a surrendered woman then Grin

I never look at pictures of the archers actors after having my image of the Grundy boys (tall, handsome and strapping, bucolic) destroyed! Brian archer looks the part, but Shula not at all what I pictured Grin

Sneezecakesmum · 13/06/2014 10:07

Oh no! I've done it .... No self control at all!

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006qpgr/profiles/whos-who

Wow! Charlie! No wonder Adam is being tempted Grin

impomea · 13/06/2014 11:50

They all look older than in my imagination and Matt isn't right al all.

I may have missed something but was it Rob who bought the ready meal business from Tom ?

ppeatfruit · 13/06/2014 13:28

impom I don't think we've been told that actually (but I haven't listened to last night's yet Grin)

GypsyFloss · 13/06/2014 13:47

I don't normally look at the photos as I hate when they don't match the pictures in my head. But I had a quick peek and Charlie looks rather nice, if a little young looking.

I'm under the impression that we've not been told who bought the ready meals business as yet and it's us speculating about Rob the Knob.

ppeatfruit · 13/06/2014 15:22

That new policeman guy looks cute Grin Yes thanks sneezecakes Grin

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 13/06/2014 16:23

Ok - anything bad I said about Charlie, I take it all back.

I also sneeked a peek at his photo.

Ian who?

RocknRollNerd · 13/06/2014 17:51

puggle: arf arf arf at the sticky start between charlie and adam

Am I allowed to further lower the tone and point out that I literally lolled at Charlie saying to Adam last night: "with your equipment and experience you could be servicing half of Borsetshire"... do we think perhaps Barry Cryer has got into the writers' room?!

Waswondering - that is what I want to ask. I feel nervous raising it on here when the female perspective seems to be that Rob is a wrong 'un, but I can't fault him today: he stood up to his boss over making his family a priority, took perfect care of Henry and was really understanding of Helen's problems. Do you think he is up to something? Or does he just have a chauvinist side that sometimes emerges?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 13/06/2014 20:06

*DDD Rob is colonising the Archers. It's in his interests to stand up for them.

(Not that I've heard the last two episodes. Will catch up later.)

Icimoi · 13/06/2014 20:31

He's got to be up to something. All his concern about Hellin getting help in the shop may be just down to wanting to free up her time to dance attendance on him, but I'm wondering whether there is something more dastardly behind it, e.g. drafting someone in who will force them to become non-organic.

Sneezecakesmum · 13/06/2014 21:08

Rob was faultless today with his perfect partner/dad act. Still think it's just the 'honeymoon phase' of an EA relationship but I will be bitterly disappointed if he turns out to be boring a good guy after all.

Kirk1 · 13/06/2014 21:09

Is it just me, or does Charlie sound really really young? As in too young to have got to a position with so much responsibility by normal means? In my head he's barely shaving!
