I have been a devoted listener for a fair few years. I have cried, cheered, and giggled through various ups and downs.
But I am now finding it so depressing. With the current episodic storylines - which are all quite unpleasant - you no longer get that lovely feeling that you are eavesdropping on a community that you would quite like to live in.
It just feels a bit nasty. It also feels a bit like Eastenders.

It feels ridiculous to be sad, but the good people of Ambridge have been my companions all the way through having very young children. They felt like friends when I hadn't had. Grown up conversation all day.

Hopefully this will pass and I can come back when they' ve finished mucking it up.

I missed that series thankfully. Wasn't it Daniel who had the inner monologue? If so I'm sure it will make a come back in the future...

They ditched the monologue after AmEx s2 didn't they. Summer AmEx will undoubtedly be Jamie and Daniel in the USA - more accent horrors I suspect!

When is Vicky's baby due. I so want it to all work out well for her... Is it going to be the Christmas Eve / Boxing Day episode do you think (soaps always have a bizarrely high proportion of Christmas babies I reckon as they shove one in for their Christmas storyline drama). I just want it to be that she goes into labour, some gas and air, maybe a few stitches and then they have their baby, no drama, no fuss.

I think the baby is due early in the new year but I'm betting on a slightly early birth to make it into a Christmas/new year's eve storyline.

Anabelle (saddo here). I think they did but Vanessa W bottled at telling us in case we lynched Tiger on Pusscat's behalf. Er, was reffing a shinpad squabble tonight, so cam some kind soul clarify, did Tiger leave a lovely nightcap bottle for Pusscat that James and Leonie pinched?
