Sports Direct is awful. Only way to find things is first find someone to ask then hope they know where things are.

nicolamumof3 · 09/01/2010 20:03

mmmh but is there anyone over the age of 15 working in there??? hate that shop with a passion lol

ooo my chicken korma is nearly ready mmmmh yum.

5inthebed · 09/01/2010 20:15

Evening ladies. Using dh iPhone as I'm so bored without laptop.

So much snow here, nearly 2 foot deep and drifts up to 6 foot in some places!

Crashed my car on Tuesday and writ it off . Luckily nobody was badly injured. Was moving off from lights, turned the corner and back of car kept turning when I straightened up. Another car went into side of me, luckily other side to what ds3 was on. Dh not happy with me, even though it wasn't my fault. It is so shitty! Been crying all week with shock/feeling sorry for myself.

Besides that, the schools have been shut all week and the boys are going stir crazy. Very hard pushing bjcm in the thick snow and can't find a sled anywhere! Shops going crazy with people stock buying bread and veg.

nicolamumof3 · 09/01/2010 20:23

hello lovely have missed you

sorry about the car hun, its not surprising in this weather tho xxx

you need a BJCE i keep seeing people struggling with little wheels atm

maxybrown · 09/01/2010 20:36

ah poor you 5in, tis horrible, really shakes you up too

I went to ask you a question the other day then remembered the laptop thingy now I can't even remember what it was

Sledges are extinct, unless you can remortgage your house to buy one on ebay! The kids are using the wheelie bin lids now and I have to say, they are working very well lol!

I hate sports direct too. The one in Manchester isn't TOO bad but the one in Stockport is a no go. You can hardly walk through it, let alone take a pushchair in

nicolamumof3 · 09/01/2010 20:44

bargain!

carrielou2007 · 09/01/2010 21:01

5inth how horrible for you, glad you are all ok though Really shakes you up I would also had lots of tears.

I remember the look on this poor Asda delivery drivers face when he tapped on my door to ask was it my car he had reversed into parked outside my house - my year old scrummy BMW 4x4. It was such a hassle but only a car I kept trying to say and no-one was hurt.

We've just had a huge sports direct open up but the walking boots and shoes are all in boxes in the middle so you can just pick some. In fact the ones I bought not long ago were 16.99!!

BexieID · 09/01/2010 21:48

5in, I know how you feel writing a car off, such a nuisance.

I got a bargain today in the charity shop and also the start of my xmas shopping or b/day pressie for Erin. A small brand new Wheelybug mouse for £5! The wheels were a bit dirty as i'm guessing kids had been riding it in the shop and floor was dirty from the snow, but given them a wipe!

Maclaren · 09/01/2010 22:01

Thanks for the link Nicola just bought one

Why dont you like the butchers strip i bought one on Friday should be getting it on Wednesday ohh now i hope I like it! Just need to get rif of the baby jogger and M&P pip !

Was think I will just keep the mac until spring then get a mutsy with fun seat for carboot in the summer

Bexie the baby is beautiful x

carrielou2007 · 09/01/2010 22:08

Bargain Bexie. How are you feeling, recovering ok?? How is it with two dc??

nicolamumof3 · 10/01/2010 08:11

fabby bargain bexie! well done.

ummm i don't know i just didn't feel the love like i thought i would for the design then i realised it had old style brakes which im not much of a fan off and i worry about the harness. my eldest two could undo those ones!!

sal1309 · 10/01/2010 08:57

good morning all

thanks for being supportive yesterday sorry about the rant dh really annoys me sometimes lol

well dh woke up as i was getting ready to go out so took me over to my mates we ended up staying there till 10pm put the kids upstairs to watch a film and we had chinese yum yum lol

dh is going to go and do a food shop today since we have been predicted more snow storms I cant believe a bit of snow and the country comes to a stop

bexie that was a bargain

right going to make a brew as only just got up

carrielou2007 · 10/01/2010 09:29

Morning all.

That sounds lovely Sal

We've got more snow, only snowing sort of half heartedly at the moment but also due lots more later. Morrison's yesterday was ridiulous, not one bit of cauli or brocoli or suede or apples or anything! I've always got tons so was ok and the bread aisle - well!!

I might have my bee so now need to make the effort now and sell the zapp frame and adaptors and pliko switch. Have loads of things to list on ebay with them, just a bit tricky at the mom - if I list, they'll sell and I'll go into labour. If I hold off they won't, it's sod's murphy's law!!

Maclaren · 10/01/2010 09:55

Carrie you should list them if you want the baby out then lol! No really I would list them and put at the bottom of the auction that there may be a delay in posting due to imminate arrival

Ohh Bexie I am so much about me lol I did see your bargain bless her that will have to be put a way for a little while!

Ahh see Nicola I prefer the older harness all I have to do now if find a suitable cosy toe do you think buggy snuggles are too long?? I have only ever had a mac footmuff on a mac but they are soooo boring!

Sal sounds like a lovely night I think most DH's can be right pains in the arse sometimes!

carrielou2007 · 10/01/2010 10:07

I'm going to list stuff to get this baby out and as just paid for my bee!!

I've sold tons of stuff so paid for the apples quest, black xt and most of the bee from pp so feel it only really cost me 76 pounds which was pp shortfall!! Then I have to buy a black hood and nest and poss adaptors but will sell pliko switch and zapp plus othe stuff which will more than cover it.

nicolamumof3 · 10/01/2010 10:37

having huge clearout of toys today...

now i know we've just had xmas but anyone interested in any bob the builder vehicles have a bundle of about 5/6, large talking roary, makka pakka etc? going for ebay listing later!!

nicolamumof3 · 10/01/2010 10:41

Maclaren i do prefer mac footmuffs on quests find bs too long how about a red one for a contrast? i think sal has a bnip one?

lillypie · 10/01/2010 11:09

Good morning everyone snowing lightly here but as carrielou says it's supposed to get heavier later.I am going to get the MB out and brave tescos soon.

5in I hope you are ok a car accident really shakes you up.A couple of years ago a bus drove into the back of us while we were waiting at a roundabout and wrote off our car (first day of our holiday as well!)I felt awful for days.

Bexie I hope you are managing to get a little rest.Fab bargain by the way I have a little ladybird wheelybug hiding under my coffee table that I really should sell as DD is way to big for it but I am too lazy to list anything atm

carrie love please be careful on the ice!I am thinking of you x

Maclaren · 10/01/2010 11:24

ohh thats a good idea Nicola need to sell the baby jogger before I can buy anything though really!

sal1309 · 10/01/2010 11:32

yeah on the bee carrie

5in thats awful about your car glad your all ok.

i need to list quite a bit on ebay but really cannot be bothered to get it all out and picture it ect but i know ive a hug gas and elec bill comming in at the end of the month (6 months worth due to n power messing up grr)

dh has just gone to do my shopping lol

Maclaren · 10/01/2010 11:35

Sal do you still have your red footmuff? If so whats your best price for it?

Divatheshopaholic · 10/01/2010 11:37

Morning all, and Maclaren.
Heard you bought butchers stripe, too. Do you like yours then
Sounds like everyone clearing out for the summer, are we all had eough of snow?
I think snow is melting here, but im sure it will be freeze at night again
Im having last summer clothes clear out, i wonderedif i leave ebay till end of february, january supposed to be poorer month.

sal1309 · 10/01/2010 11:54

yes maclaren still have red footmuff could do for £24.50 delivered?

5inthebed · 10/01/2010 11:55

Well every cloud has a silver lining and all that. I'm a big believer in fate a think these things happen for a reason. I might be getting a brand spanking new car now but I'm still a bit shaken and can't see me behind a wheel just yet. I was sweating just playing Mario cart yesterday lol.

Maclaren I'd love to buy your bjce but cash all going towards bus and taxi fares atm.

nicolamumof3 · 10/01/2010 11:55

yep i'd put on after half term feb then everyone starts to think of spring/summer and hols Diva.

had enough of snow i must say its snowing here now.
