maxybrown · 08/01/2010 20:35

Yes it is....it just looks wrong. A bit cheap I think! Ha, fancy us discussing pushchairs.....in the pushchair shed I hate it when this happens, makes me want a new purchase

carrielou2007 · 08/01/2010 20:41

I thought the purple xlr would be purple all over with a silver frame (and would be yum). A really deep purple would be lovely for a boy or girl but yes it looks school-sock-grey with a splash of purple

nicolamumof3 · 08/01/2010 20:44

the purple triumph nice

maxybrown · 08/01/2010 20:48

That's what I thought Carrie, expected more purple!

kit84 · 08/01/2010 21:00

fao CarrieLou
It's a Bee I've seen advertised

carrielou2007 · 08/01/2010 21:53

Thank you for thinking of me

maxybrown · 09/01/2010 09:12

Morning all, bloody freezin here today. had my heating on and wasn't getting any warmer....then realised - AFTER AN HOUR that the pilot light had gone out, brrrrrrrrrrr.

Hey quick XLR question. Since having this newer one, soething about the harness has always bugged me, I always seem to need to have it longer and the crotch bit just seemed diff. But the Bunker is bulky so put it down to that as haven't used it without yet! Howbwer, i have just seen a wanted ad on preloved for older xlr, she didn't want silver tipped handles and wanted 2 crotch strap holes........now I think that is the difference, I think my older ones I had, had 2 crotch positions so offered more space.....

sal1309 · 09/01/2010 09:41

morning all

carrielou2007 · 09/01/2010 11:08

Morning

Maxy, think the xt has 2positions does it only have one then?

Think I'm doomed not to get a bee, literally within a minute of saying yes and ready to pay last night it had sold. Can'tget hold of the one on preloved then miss one on the boards this morning after having a lie in as was up 2-5am with labour [sad}

horsemadgal · 09/01/2010 11:17

Carrielou, I'm going to be selling my Bee soon.
And a Baby Jogger Classic is anyone interested.
I need a rear facing 3 wheeler for now.

sal1309 · 09/01/2010 11:19

aww poor carrie still no signs of bubs comming then? I must admit ive been looking at the bees as a car pram but they bring so much second hand that a new one wouldnt be much more iykwim (especially with 10% off code with mother care at the mo)

hope you manage to get one.

dh is still in bed and im bored wondering what to do today

maxybrown · 09/01/2010 11:31

ooh baby jogger!!! That's prob one of the last things I fancy trying, but have a feeling I will prefer Nipper........that bloomin fold, gets me everytime

Ooh it must be coming soon carrie (baba that is) I don't think it does have 2 slots....will have to check later

carrielou2007 · 09/01/2010 11:35

HMG that wold be brill

I think I'll be using the car much more and collecting my sistes children a lot from school so with the back 2 seats in use think the bee will just squeeze next to it.

The place I bought my (two) black xt's from sell Bees but they have been out of stock for ages.

I came back up to bed and dd's dad started shouting at me about how was he supposed to get up the hill (to the hospital) in this weather. It was a bit too much for me and I had a few tears and he was actually lovely, worried about how we would get there. He shouted at me yesterday as I went out in the car - sometimes I think maybe he does love me a tiny bit in a funny sort of way [smile}

maxybrown · 09/01/2010 11:39

Carrie, I am not about to ask what the situation is, but whatever, at the end of the day you are his childs Mum and so any half decent male must feel SOMETHING for that person. Try not to panic too much

Oh baby jogger........and a spitfire, that's the other one

carrielou2007 · 09/01/2010 11:47

Oh yes, I did think of you when I was up this morning about that spitfire.

I'm happy to have dd's dad around for her sake, we actually get on better not being together as I don't generally put up with any of his rubbish. I think just what you said is spot on as I don't love him as such other than he is a lovely dad to dd. Plus he is a useful handyman when I want things doing

maxybrown · 09/01/2010 11:55

can't live with, can't live without!!

carrielou2007 · 09/01/2010 12:11
Grin
nicolamumof3 · 09/01/2010 13:52

afternoon all. Well i dragged whole family into next town on the search for my merrell snow boots...no luck

so to cheer everyone up we went to waterstones and spent boys xmas vouchers (£50!) on books lovely

then went pizza express for lunch, it was packed in there.

now home in front of fire v.v.nice.

maxy the xlr only has one crothe position i keep meaning to ask maclaren about this as its a right pain have on loosest setting for luka atm and he's only 2.5yr so not good. But having said that i can still strap tate in it ok!

Carrielou been thinking of you hunnie.

We had loads of snow overnight and its snowing now supposed to be bad in SE all week and Terry is driving up to Manchester on Wednesday for an interview and is away 2 nights. there seems to be no let up atm.

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/01/2010 14:15

Hi Nicola. Any sledges over there?

sal1309 · 09/01/2010 14:21

grrr now im really annoyed. had asda delivery booked for monday and they have rang and cancelled it so no food for us. Dh did say he would go shopping but oh what a suprise he is fast asleep on the couch as allways (didnt get out of bed till dinner time).

Ive walked the dogs and im now going to get dd dressed and walk over to my mates for a brew its a bit of a treck and will probably be in even more agony (tmi but got really bad pubic bone pains lol) but im sick to death of being in the house dh is supposed to be taking us but he wont get off his arse

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/01/2010 14:29

Be careful Sal.
Why not poke DH with large stick!

nicolamumof3 · 09/01/2010 14:31

My Dh would get a slap he was behaving like that. even more so you are pg and its terrible out he should be running round after you sal

carrielou2007 · 09/01/2010 14:40

I would have to drop some pots and pans or something by 'accident' to wake him up I think Sal. Be very careful walking .

Nicola have you tried karrimor? I used to have merrell too (well whichever was on offer at the time I wanted to buy a new pair). I wear them all the time now insted of trainers for my walking, have been great rather than my Timberland waterproofs for grip in this weather. If you have a sports direct they are super cheap in there too. I got some new ankle rather than waterproof trainer type in there for about 25!!!

maxybrown · 09/01/2010 17:52

Ooh sports direct, oh yes! I have been looking at gumbies just for a bit more warmth than wellies

nicolamumof3 · 09/01/2010 19:29

damn i walked out of sports direct today without even looking as it drives me nuts!! such a mess in there and our car park ticket running out.

no sledges this way dunoon i'd love one too!
