more rumble seat info - i replied to uppababy asking if any pictures ok uk and asking hte difference and got this reply -

"I don't have any images at the moment. It's just the same but the seat sits a fraction lower and the back is more upright to meet EU standards."

I replied again asking if it was def more upright as i had thought it would be more reclined... got this reply:

"That's correct, it's the UK/EU standard that prevents it from being more reclined."

  • guess we wont really know until it gets here!
Tiggywunkle · 05/01/2012 10:45

More upright??? It couldn't get more upright that it already is! That's not so good then.

saoirse86 · 05/01/2012 11:21

They seem to be confused themselves! Confused

Why would it need to be more upright to meet EU reg's? If anything you would think it would need to be more reclined. Hmm

FriggFRIGG · 05/01/2012 11:38

I guess it needs to be more stable? Hence the uprightness?!
It really would be bolt upright though....

Tiggywunkle · 05/01/2012 11:51

Lol it's pretty much bolt upright anyway!!! Did you get your rumble seat back?

FriggFRIGG · 05/01/2012 12:44

Yes! Smile

Still need to send the piggyback back though, tis faulty Sad

Tiggywunkle · 05/01/2012 13:41

I am so glad you got it back!

aswellasyou · 05/01/2012 21:04

I went into BabyBaby today to look at the Jané Rider. I still want one. The wheel base was a tad wider than I expected but I like the highish seat and compact neat fold. The wheels aren't as bad as I thought they'd be and it's easier to fold and unfold than it looks in the videos I watched.

They also had a Quinny Moodd instore. It looks far too much like a Buzz for me. It was in all black though so the differences might have been more obvious on one of the coloured ones. I actually wasn't sure if it was a Buzz until I noticed the footrest.

In other news, I now have a walking 15 month old baby! Grin

Tiggywunkle · 05/01/2012 22:19

Yay re a walking toddler :) You wont need a pushchair soon [wunk]!

I am not sure I really "get" the Moodd.....

aswellasyou · 05/01/2012 22:23

I'll be strappng her down as long as I can! Unless I find someone to have a second baby with before she stops using a pushchair, that is. Wink I'm really excited about her walking. Now, when people ask for the gazillionth time "is she walking yet?", I can say yes and they'll stop asking! Or they'll ask if he can talk yet. Hmm

pramsgalore · 05/01/2012 22:32

thats great news re walking, they look so sweet when little and walking, so its reins now then is it Wink

Tiggywunkle · 05/01/2012 22:32

Or have another baby....
LOL re her wanting to talk!! LOL We wanted DD to talk and now she never ever shuts up! First day at nursery tomorrow though :( :( :(

aswellasyou · 05/01/2012 22:54

The owner of BabyBaby thought she was really advanced in her crawling and climbing stairs! Until I told him she was 15 months. Grin She's just so young looking.

Tiggywunkle · 05/01/2012 23:06

Prams - she will have to sell all her pushchairs now won't she?? Wink I mean a walking DC is the beginning of the end [wunk]

pramsgalore · 05/01/2012 23:08

oh yes, mn net code as soon as they can walk, the pushchair has to go Wink

pramsgalore · 05/01/2012 23:10

you will have to get a wagon now, or a trike!!!!!! lots of sets of reins instead Grin

Tiggywunkle · 05/01/2012 23:19

Or a bike ;)

aswellasyou · 05/01/2012 23:19

Nnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to sit on her then! Grin

pramsgalore · 05/01/2012 23:20

Tiggywunkle · 05/01/2012 23:36

Poor DC :(((((

Ihateparties · 06/01/2012 19:24

Hello there, may I join you? Brew

Round our way it's a mini micro scooter or balance bike.

Wowser this thread is long! I have missed bits in the middle. Has anyone mentioned the Jane Twone yet?

Tiggywunkle · 06/01/2012 19:53

Hiya!! You are more than welcome here because I know you are a bigger addict than I am!
Lol, this is about the sixth of many addict threads where we amble our way through endless pushchair woffle.
We like looking at bikes which carry children eg the Taga or trailers eg the Choo Choo Wagon too!
It's a while since we talked about the Twone. Do you know any more?

aswellasyou · 06/01/2012 20:35

Welcome! Smile I like the look of the Twone. The main seat looks like the Rider/Trider seat unit. There doesn't look like there'll be much basket space left once the bottom child is in the seat though. It's annoying not having heard anything about it for ages though.

aswellasyou · 06/01/2012 20:36

So Ihate, tell us what you've had/got and what you do and don't like.
