The latest Buggy Addicts thread :)

i have loved my mima, dd still fits in the seat, it glides along, i like the seat, but yes i agree it could be with being 2" deeper as i can only use a buggy snuggle in the seat, as any thicker takes up too much space. i have owned mine for what 5-6 months and still love it and there is not many pushchairs i can say that about.
i love the zilko frankies too, almost bought one the other week off ebay.
i really am holding out for a bj pod, it will be the only and last one i shall buy Xmas Grin i am hoping i won't have to import, but i think maybe i will have no choice, if i won't it early next year.
thinking of a new name for the new year as pramsgalore won't have many prams next year Xmas Grin or Xmas Sad depends how you look at it, i will have more money that is for sure and more space in the house.

Qtro wheels are only half an inch bigger than vista front wheels, so perhaps will get stuck on tree roots and on uneven ground as the vista sometimes does. Unless being air tyres makes the difference.

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 15/12/2011 12:12

Tiggy where are the pacapods with that code?

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 15/12/2011 12:44

Direct on the Pacapod website. There is free delivery too. Seriously, I love Pacapods. I have fallen out with all other changing bags because they are too bulky etc. I can fit in two sets of children's clothes (the thinner the better) 3 nappies / pull ups, wipes, cream, muslin etc in the changing one. I found the feeding one was too small when the children were younger and both needed cups, milk etc. but now we are down to just one and they will make fab insulated child sized picnic bags later. The toy ones hold lots!
The reason I love them is because on the average day out, you dont need to carry a huge changing bag and perch it onto one of those horrible fold down changing tables - you simply have the small changing pod. Or in a restaurant, you aren't having to hoik a huge bag onto the table with you. The feeding pod sits neatly at one side with everything you need in. There's no rummaging through jars, spoons and cups to find a nappy or vice versa. They hang nicely onto a pushchair handle. Fab for the Quinny Zapp as one each sits neatly in either side of the basket. DD likes carrying them too whether by the handles or on her back. They are a great idea. Expensive but have been worth every penny.

I love the ones with the animal prints, they're so cute. I'm tempted...

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 15/12/2011 14:48

Looking at the Easywalker sky video it looks as though there are toggles for the visor in the hood (I suspect the hoods on the qtro and the sky are identical!) I won't worry about the supposed 15kg weight limit as I've seen a pic of an adult sat in one! It won't break but will need two hands if going anywhere steep and uneven.
Even though I love a lot of the features of the qtro I think it won't be so capable off road as the sky. This is due to the 8.5 inch front wheels which have potential to get stuck against tree roots or in dips and hollows and not quite tall enough to clear thick heather. It will probably be ok on rough pathways and mown grass but I would like a buggy that's capable off the beaten track!

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 15/12/2011 15:09

I've ordered the sky in olive! Transaction got a bit scary in Dutch but managed with the help of babel fish! Thought it was void at the end but it was completed! Phew! Approx 4 days delivery I think....

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 15/12/2011 15:17

Happy, happy, happy, happy, happy dances

Two pieces of good pushchair news in two days :)

Mountain Buggy gave found a solution to my tandem to single problem and are sending me it to try. I have to say they have impressed me at the speed they have worked to find a solution.

But even more excitedly, see BB FB for the other :)
I am soooooooooo happy :)

mothercare jive in dino's

suzie38 · 15/12/2011 15:55

I got slightly paniced when ordering the Nuna Pepp and not understanding everything on the ordering process...Same with Kiddies24 for the Go raincover, which incidently comes in a neat bag that velcros onto the handle.

aswellasyou · 15/12/2011 15:56

How exciting for all the new/old pushchairs. Twinkle, I hope they sold it to you for a good price. Xmas Wink Do you think MB have been quick in order to shut us up? [synical]

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 15/12/2011 17:05

Wow! Just seen your BB FB page news! How cool. What colour?

I am really hoping the EW Sky is good for us. In the long run, this could be our last pushchair. I figured the Olive (army) colour was rugged and boyish enough that he won't feel it's too babyish when he begins school.

I ordered the sale classic footmuff also...it claims to be 90cm long so he might fit in it still....if not the top can be left off and it may be used as a liner...it cost only £20!

I also ordered their bottle holder thing which has a zip pocket...it looked a useful and neat addition for long day outings.

I may now sell my beloved babyjoggers as I think the sky could be manageable for the occasional bus outing due to its small fold, and it will probably be good for all our off road excursions. I believe the basket is larger and easier to access than that on the summit. I may miss the disc brakes of the summit but you just can't have everything in one package, compromises must be made sometimes!
I'm hoping the sky will take my giraffe bag on the back too!

aswellasyou · 15/12/2011 17:22

Suzie, you were right about Mima. It is just the leather 'look' ones. They're not even real leather. Xmas HmmXmas Sad

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 15/12/2011 20:04

We have kept the one we have :) But now I can buy a proper footmuff which I didn't want to spend money on before as it wasn't ours.

I think MB genuinely have seen the problem and realised it could be easier....I can't work out though why no one - not MB, their reviewers, those that got the +One before us, retailers etc didn't spot the problem though???

:( re the Mima's. I thought there was going to be something new.

Yay re the Sky accessories etc. The basket I believe will have the easy access zips / gusset??

My BJCCD is on its way!!!Grin

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 15/12/2011 20:36

Yay Frigg!
What will we do when people don't buy new pushchairs any more Confused??

OP posts:
BrassMonkeyBaubles · 15/12/2011 20:48

Oh my....some micralite terrain wheels just sold on eBay for only £16! I have two brand new sets I need to list...which cost me £75 each by the time I paid delivery and import duty...what are the chances I'll make my money back on them? :(
Somebody else also just emailed me regarding my Jane slalom advert saying there was no description or pics could I tell them something about it! Yet when I look I can see the description, video and pics....
can you see a description here? any clue as to why it's not working for this potential buyer?

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 15/12/2011 20:50

The basket should have the zips as they are shown on the video for the Easywalker sky...and I've ordered the "sky plus 2012" latest model it would seem...

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 15/12/2011 20:54

yes i can see pics and description fine, must be her, sometimes i have had this happen though with ebay, you just have to try again or wait for it to load

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 15/12/2011 20:57

She has just said she can now see it but had to scroll down really far. I was just beginning to wonder if the ad was "broken" or something. It's not had much interest so far...

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 15/12/2011 21:00

thats good then, it's right at the top when i looked Smile

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 15/12/2011 21:08

Thank you prams. X
It'd be awesome timing if it sells...in view of my recent purchase!
I will have to be sure the Sky is right for us before I sell any babyjoggers. Potentially the sky could work out well or be an expensive mistake. Can't see resale being near the original price....it better have a zipped basket and toggles for the hood visor! Xmas Wink

FriggFRIGGYPudding · 15/12/2011 21:08

Monkeys,I can see a video link and one picture, plus a long description.

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 15/12/2011 21:14

Frigg can u see a slide show at the bottom of the description? Maybe it's not loading?
