Tiggywunkle · 21/11/2011 22:46

I wish now I had kept the Vista :(
The Rumble seat was terribly neat.
DH NOW says I could have kept it!
Grrrr!

pramsgalore · 21/11/2011 22:48

i have to say the vista has really surprised me, i love it

suzie38 · 21/11/2011 22:48

Tiggy think your Icoo had a handle that was too high from what i've read before.

Tiggywunkle · 21/11/2011 22:59

((((Hugs Honey)))) That must have been awful :(

Frigg - thanks for sharing! It was absolutely beyond hilarious. The line that got me was the one where Honey said she isn't renting her services out!

The Jane Powertwin ranks amongst my worst ever tandems.....awful!

Tiggywunkle · 21/11/2011 23:00

Probably - I can't wait to be rid!!

dobby2001 · 21/11/2011 23:29

Misdee nooo, dont say its too hard to bump the b-dual up the step, thats the only way i could get one in Sad

Having my kitchen floor ripped out tomorrow and half the kitchen- keeping fingers crossed they will have put some form of replacement in by the time i bring the kids home early afternoon or its cold beans for tea Confused

Am also crossing fingers for DD as she has a whole morning of selection tests for senior school tomorrow - want to be calm for her and take her into school but will have to stay in for builders and will probably be stressing about that - hate those sort of days Sad

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 22/11/2011 12:47

this has got to be my favorite poem....ever:

There was a mumsnetter who sat on a spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her,
She sat on the spider to catch the fly,
I don't know why she sat on the fly,
Perhaps she'll die.

Tiggy some of the amazon.com vistas were on sale, you might want to see if you can import one cheap.

Tiggywunkle · 22/11/2011 14:37

I think DH would have an eppy fit if another pushchair arrived here at present! But never say, never!

Meanwhile it's been a fab day. We went back to see DDs school / nursery and it's just as lovely as we remembered, if not better. So I am all happy about her now starting in January. We had a choice of 3 schools, so I just wanted to be sure as it means travelling rather than simply walking. But DH is looking forward to doing the run on his bike.

We have just found the perfect venue for a big party next year. I have been trawling the interweb for weeks and weeks and quizzing all my friends, and even going for random drives. But nothing was right ie a child friendly place who wouldn't balk at 30-40 children turning up (everyone has a child or 8!) and with space for the little people to play safely. We just have to secure the booking :)

MonkeyJuice · 22/11/2011 14:37

Works out at £419 including priority shipping and import duty for the red one from amazon.com

Tiggywunkle · 22/11/2011 14:48

Lol, don't!! Lol
I can't - I need to sell what we have here first! Plus if the Rumble seat gets sold then I have no choice!

misdee · 22/11/2011 15:43

am back in love with the bdual.

ds is ill, like very poorly sick. not been put down since 3.30am.

until the school run. popped him in, can see him clearly in the bottom seat due to the mesh. and he loves it. the recline is just right for his bunged up chest. have hung pram toys off the front seat so he had things to play with.

the fresh air seems to have done him good (and the calpol of course)

Tiggywunkle · 22/11/2011 15:46

:) That's good. I hope LO is better soon.

MonkeyJuice · 22/11/2011 16:37

Misdee hope your lo is better soon. x
Tiggy, don't kiddicare do Vistas? Wonder how attractive they look with 12% off? Kiddi12

pramsgalore · 22/11/2011 16:45

£483, i think mine was from kiddicare with that code

TruthSweet · 22/11/2011 17:01

Which is the lie flat Vigour the Vigour 3/4+ or the 3/4? I can't remember today.

suzie38 · 22/11/2011 17:09

Vigour 3/4+ but originally it had a bucket seat, then it changed to the lie flat seat before it became the B Smart...The lie flat seat came in black and brown colors definetely.

Tiggywunkle · 22/11/2011 17:26

Shhhhh....unless Uppababy want to send me a Vista for saying such lovely things about it, then I can't afford to get another. BB is financially utter madness anyway and sadly I can't keep every good pushchair I come across. You have no idea how hard it is to decide which off roader to keep! I want to keep the Elite really because I love Baby Joggers. But it's back heavy and the front end doesn't stay in contact with the ground when I push (because I lean slightly on it). I wonder if a buggy weight would help? The Babyzen has the fab fold, light and is neat to store. The Easywalker has the best basket, wide seat and four wheels. The Indie has a deep seat, lovely fabrics and good looks! How do you decide??!!

suzie38 · 22/11/2011 17:33

For me it'd have to be the one that's the most compact due to lack of space and a tiny car i think.

MonkeyJuice · 22/11/2011 17:47

Tiggy, if you're ever near my end of the kingdom you are most welcome to try my summit. I did an unplanned train journey with it today and really enjoyed using it. Really glad I chose it over the Jane. It would be madness for me to sell it. I'm in love with the big wheels and suspension!
Really want my 7am blankets to arrive soon. Hurry up mothercare!
BB is fab. It would be lovely if UB gave you a vista.

Tiggywunkle · 22/11/2011 18:38

To be fair, the Cruz is probably more 'me' but the Rumble seat is fab and could still be useful. Decisions, decisions! I have just swapped DDs swimming day to the wrong day so maybe today isn't the day for more decisions.
I think the Elite has the smallest fold with the wheels off but the Babyzen has a wonderful flat fold. But sometimes chunky at one end of the boot is better than flat across the whole boot? I can see me getting a BJCMGT anyway!

Yes, wait until next year and look at the Easywalker June, Baby Jogger City Mini GT, Bumbleride Indie or iCandy Peach Jogger (although I think the latter is more). Meanwhile look at the Uppababy Vista, iCandy Apple Jogger, Baby Jogger City Elite, Easywalker Sky and Micralite Toro. There's a mix there to start you off.

Tiggywunkle · 22/11/2011 19:11

Just to add, you may be better starting a fresh thread specifically to answer your question. We tend to just natter on here.
