Okaaaaay, new thread, new addictions, newly hammered bank accounts abound.

I did place my order for black fabrics for my vista today. Sounds as though they could take a few weeks to come. I'm ready for a change, besides if the cold weather is on its way I'd like to use my outlast snugglebag. Which is red and looks a bit "lego" with the yellow seat. It will go so much better with the black!

Rachm74 · 07/10/2011 17:51

Has anyone seen the new Bebecar one & two yet? I was wondering if it is anygood for newborn and toddler.

thisisyesterday · 07/10/2011 18:23

how can you push it when you have it in this mode?

IMO, one in front of the other buggies are never great to push. you need the heavier child at the back and so your newborn is far from you. they take a lot of oomph to get up kerbs and are not as manouvreable due to the weight.

I say this as someone who has tried a few. I had a bebe confort twin club, which is similar to the bebecar one and two. and I tried the bebecar vector out at kiddicare and the baby jogger city select in john lewis

TruthSweet · 07/10/2011 19:17

I think that is for when you are a very stylish orangutan mummy not a human mummy!

MonkeysPunk · 07/10/2011 19:42

Have you lot heard about the Jane double with 80 seat configurations?!

thisisyesterday · 07/10/2011 19:44

noooo.... do you have a link?

also... why am i now regularly posting here? what have you done to me

MonkeysPunk · 07/10/2011 19:46

Jane Twone puschair travel system. Olivers babycare have it on their website. Sorry I can't link as on my HTC.

MonkeysPunk · 07/10/2011 19:48

He he! Why am I still browsing when skint! Lol.

MonkeysPunk · 07/10/2011 19:55

WWW.Baby2k.com have a video of it on YouTube. Search Jane Twone. Sorry again I can't link here on my phone. It looks v useful esp for twins.

thisisyesterday · 07/10/2011 19:57

twone is almost as stupid a name as donkey!

aswellasyou · 07/10/2011 20:11

I don't like the name Twone either. The Twone's been hanging around with no further mention for months and months now. I'm fed up of knowing about it without seeing one in real life! I really like the look of it but I reckon it'll be a good £700.

Tiggywunkle · 07/10/2011 20:22

How has the Twone got 80 seat configurations? Are they counting all the various recline positions rather than combinations eg car seat, seats, carrycoys? There's a some photos on Best Buggy. I have seen it in real life and wasn't particularly excited by it. What I have seen since doesn't really make it much more interesting TBH.
I believe I have seen the One&Two - if it's the pushchair I think we walked past it and it was on a stand and looked absolutely huge and my friend told me it was the Vector Duo....it was so large that we took one glance and kept walking. But I am intrigued because the seats fold down flat for storage which means that with the single chassis, it may be smaller folded than you expect. But I do think it looks a little odd having two armchair like seats on a platform on a single chassis IYKWIM. Someone posted the Kidz Kargo Duolette onto BB FB wall. It looks great in theory but I keep reading about pushchairs falling apart and no customer service...

TruthSweet · 07/10/2011 20:23

I think I may have sucked you in. BTW I think I have changed my mind on the VIT if you can get one with a hood - get it - it looks so much better with it on.

I'm debating mentioning the Halo to DH as I now feel the need for another pram even though I don't need one. It may well be hormones talking...

Tiggywunkle · 07/10/2011 20:37

Aha, I have just watched the videos and have seen they include all the various car seats etc. as combinations. I can't realistically see a toddler having enough leg room in the lower seat, can you? After the B-Dual I am not keen on pushchairs with no footrest but hopefully the seat unit is a good size. I love the small fold though, adjustable handle and handbrake.

MonkeysPunk · 07/10/2011 20:50

Tiggy - Dare I ask....did that rumble seat arrive? Have you been able to unwrap the Vista?
Is there a baby show soon? 15th Oct rings a bell.

aswellasyou · 07/10/2011 20:55

Have you seen the Jane Muum as well? It looks like the Twone in single mode with higher sides on the seat unit. I still like the look of the Twone personally, but I doubt I'll ever have an issue with footrests for my short arse child.

thisisyesterday · 07/10/2011 21:15

muum???

i have enough trouble making myself pronounce jane correctly. i get very scared i will sound uber-poncy

i couldn't say jane muum

TruthSweet · 07/10/2011 21:20

I think it would have to be Haanay Muuuuum all glottal-ly like you have just had 20 B&H and a can of Black label (or Galoises and a brandy if you are feeling posh!)

thisisyesterday · 07/10/2011 21:20

who knows what the cybex buggy is that has a bumper bar and a full handle?
saw someone with one the other day and quite liked it

Tiggywunkle · 07/10/2011 21:22

No, at the time of the show we were literally looking at doubles and barely anything else. The Rumble seat should be on the way but there's no sign! So the Vista is still boxed! I need to dig it out this weekend really! I keep digging my pram room out but you can't actually get in there today. Someone wants to come and chat about triple options soon....newborn twins and 20 month teeny toddler....what would you be recommending? There's the T3, ABC, Valco...They don't want an inline eg Triplette or sideways triple....

TruthSweet · 07/10/2011 21:26

I remember reading a very favourable review on a US site a while ago (poss Stroller Queen??) It does look good though

thisisyesterday · 07/10/2011 21:29

i'd recommend abc any day

i e-mailed them when i was looking for the toddler seat for mine and phil green (!) mailed me back saying they can send stuff to the uk FREE and will put it's a gift so you don't get charged by customs too! how nice is that?

so i would go with a double, and a single seat on top.

although it does mean you can't see the babies, which is a bit sad

if I had twins myself I would use my big pram and put them both in it and have a toddler seat on the top. then when they are too big to share I would get a parent facing twin and a decent sling and have one baby in sling and the other 2 children in the buggy. or toddler walking and babies in buggy

thisisyesterday · 07/10/2011 21:30

or a triple mountain buggy

aswellasyou · 07/10/2011 21:56

I think I'd go for the single ABC with double seat on top. But I definitely think an ABC is the way forward.Smile

Hanaay Muuuuum sounds about right to me. I found myself saying Jane the other day-like the woman's name I mean-the Liverpudlian air must be getting to me! Idiot! Hmm

Tiggywunkle · 08/10/2011 00:34

I think I will be saying something along the lines of your needs will change as your eldest gets older and give her a few options....but its good to hear thumbs up for the ABC - I love ours although I wish I could get it in the car!

BTW how are the Buggypod users getting along? Has anyone managed to / could they try fitting one to a P&T for me?

I have just been reading the press release blub for the June and what has amazed me is that each pushchair has a colour as such but the June is on a greeny/yellow background with lines - and the lines are the paths across Hyde Park in London! I think its very cool - but I found it a tad odd for a Netherlands based company to be using Hyde Park as a starting point! It is a very cool looking pushchair! Older toddlers look really comfy it in. I do wonder how easy it is to access the basket in all modes though. I just love the combination of forward and reverse facing with chunky off road wheels but in a small compact package. I do think it looks a bit Bee like but with chunky wheels.
