Okaaaaay, new thread, new addictions, newly hammered bank accounts abound.

I'm back :o!! All Bob the Builder, Angelina Ballerina, and Pingu-ed out! Am now sat surrounded by a sea of Peppa Pig boxes which were abandoned on birthday morning to get in the car! But we took the Noa and Xtreet. Borth were useful but I wish the BJCM4 had arrived in time instead. But we did manage to get btw pushchairs into the car with all our bags which was nothing short of a miracle! The Xtreet has the large basket which was really useful but we did manage to completely load the Noa up. But I don't like the flex in the frame. But it was useful to pull around behind us during the day to save the long walk back with a tired whingey newly three year old (who scootered brilliantly all day long but by 9pm had lost the plot!) I have decided that neither pushchair is perfect though...both were too short for me to start with but as a holiday pushchair they did us proud!

Tiggywunkle · 06/10/2011 20:36

Btw = both

suzie38 · 06/10/2011 20:59

Those handles on the Nuage look like the Orbit's handles...Shame it's a 3 wheeler.

pramsgalore · 06/10/2011 21:02

and it looks really long when folded, always makes me smile that they never show pushchairs folded with seat on

pramsgalore · 06/10/2011 21:04

at tiggy, sounds like it was fun and amazing for dd and ds, i love Angelina Ballerina Smile

suzie38 · 06/10/2011 21:32

Glad to hear you've all had a lovely time Smile

Tiggywunkle · 06/10/2011 23:11

Thanks. It was good to go away but I am worn out now! I need a 'mummy holiday' now...although to be fair I was indulged in some pampering treats in the Spa :) I did lots of pushchair watching! I loved seeing the We2 folded and freestanding. We were boggled at how people managed to fit huge beasties eg a M&P Duette in with their packing! Or two twin umbrella folds. There were a couple of Vibes, a Sienta Duo - which looked great for two close together siblings. I liked the M&P Sola and Urbo (are there any downsides to these?) They look pretty if a little too stark. The little iCoo (like BJCM) looked good. Someone had a purple BJCMD which looked smart with the footmuffs on. And umbrella folds of every colour, shape and size!

pramsgalore · 06/10/2011 23:18

i love to pushchair watch, but find myself stareing if i don't know what it is, or if it is really smart, but then people stare at me with mine so i am not the only one Smile

Tiggywunkle · 06/10/2011 23:30

We got some funny looks pulling the Noa along behind us! DD was fab on her scooter all day but the long walk home with an overtired toddler was too much - we were struggling to keep her quiet / calm past rows of chalets. So after that the Noa came too. I sooo need a Freerider on a single - but which single?? I am glad we discovered what the blue Pushchair was! I was boggled with the different Maclarens!

Hungrydragon · 06/10/2011 23:30

I love spotting another addict who will let you have a turn Grin

suzie38 · 06/10/2011 23:42

I love buggy watching as well...Hopefully get to see a variety at Goose Fair this weekend...I love seeing the Silver Cross Balmorals owned by the fair folk.

Tiggywunkle · 07/10/2011 10:36

Someone had a M&P coach built pram this week - I loved the way the toddler seat attached when not in use to the chassis at the front.
I have to say the Zapp Xtra does look lovely - I am pondering buying an old loose chassis and another seat unit now we are past the car seat stage and shouldnt lose the confounded adaptors.....but I don't think hubby would let me though. And just the thought of a stiff fold makes my arms start to ache!
Lol at Hungrydragon!!!

Tiggy, I hope your daughter enjoyed her birthday!
My favourite pasttime is pushchair spotting! BlushGin I chased after saw an all black Cameleon yesterday. It had off white base and hood-I didn't realise the inside of the hood is black too. It was really lovely looking. I also saw something else interesting but can't remember anything about it at all now! Hmm

aswellasyou · 07/10/2011 13:12

GinGrin I think I need a drink!

Is that an advert?Confused
I've just been reminded of the other interesting one. It was a First Wheels City Twin. I think it might have been a new version and it was absolutely gorgeous! There teeny weeny were twins in it, but in the seat units rather than carrycots.

TruthSweet · 07/10/2011 13:17

Sold the flyer today so now we have just 2 pushchairs. I am bereft, positively bereft.

Mind you my mum wants to buy DD3 a pram as the hood on DD3's M&P pram annoys the heck out of her (it keeps falling down as it's pushed so DD3 has to stop and adjust it - can't think where she got the fussy pram gene from) so now I get to look at dolls' prams....

MonkeysPunk · 07/10/2011 13:25

samsmith how did you manage to research your purchase on that site? There are no pushchair reviews there that I can see - even the Bugaboo Cameleon doesn't have a review!

It looks like a very new site - how long ago did you use it to help with your pushchair purchase?

TruthSweet · 07/10/2011 13:53

aswellas - if it had chrome frame (as opposed to brushed/satin metal frame) it was a 2009+ model. I had the 2007 model.

aswellasyou · 07/10/2011 14:03

It did have a chrome frame. I really really liked it!Grin It's a shame they're so big folded.

MonkeysPunk · 07/10/2011 14:24

Just was told on the phone to www.pramworld.co.uk that the NEW toro seat is FIVE inches longer than that on the OLD toro! - I asked where the extra length was - ie - foot or backrest or both - she thought probably the footrest - but couldn't say for sure - but I think that's swung my choice between the old version and new of the toro.....so now I have to decided NEW toro or Superlite version... - or neither (and stick with BJCM - which tbh carries more cargo).
Anyway - thought you ladies might like to hear that - as the older toro seat was quite small IMO.

thisisyesterday · 07/10/2011 14:39

the seats on the first wheels city twin are tiny.

i tried it at kiddicare when ds3 was a baby, so ds3 would have not even been 2 yrs old yet.
I couldn't even put the hood up over him! and if he'd had a coat on there is no way he would have fitted.
he isn't big either. 50% centile for weight and height!

I think the older models had bigger seats.. they certainly look bigger anyway

TruthSweet · 07/10/2011 15:07

DD1 fitted until she was nearly 3 when she stopped riding in the pram but then she is leggy/skinny rather than tall backed.

MonkeysPunk · 07/10/2011 17:36

I need to see a new toro before midnight Monday before the discount code expires! How's that going to happen? I don't even know where would have one in stock?
I was admiring the one with cream hood, and thinking it'd look nice with grey liner, and handlebar extensions (for extra stride length and stability bumping up and down stairs. I'm sure it will be easier to push and manouver than the bjcm. However, it won't carry so much cargo as the bjcm.

MonkeysPunk · 07/10/2011 17:41

It's still going to cost over £300 by the time I've added the liner and handle extensions....so the bjcm, volo and senzz would all have to be sold...
