tiggy had one and did not like it

Any one got any interesting pushchairs on the cards. I'm bored again...

suzie38 · 06/10/2011 14:38

I'm still dithering about the Xari still...Really want my Brio Go gone first, as i think the Orbit will take a while since it's pretty obscure in the UK...Also see how much birthday money i get next week.

TruthSweet · 06/10/2011 14:59

I'm selling the Flyer and after all the angst about the Combi I'm bored with it and the handle is too low (please don't tell DH - he'd do his nut!!)

I actually saw a Nuna in real life recently and I can see why it gets grounded on door frames/steps - it's like a car with lowered suspension! It would make a fab children's pram though so I can see why you are keeping it for your DD.

I quite like the look of the Halo or the Sola but I can't quite justify buying anything else.

suzie38 · 06/10/2011 15:02

I was quite taken my the Tako Jumper X but it's huge so it would definetely be a pushchair for local use but then i couldn't get the Xari as well though i'd save a heap of money of course!!!

pramsgalore · 06/10/2011 15:45

after everything i have said and read Blush i have a buggypod smorph sat in my front room, waiting to go on my mircalite, i only bought it because it was a bargain and thought it might do dd when ds needs to go in the micralite when i go on a bus or little train, but i bet i hate it, infact to be honest don't know what i was thinking Confused but will report back on how crap good my purchase is Smile

TruthSweet · 06/10/2011 16:04

I got one last weekend it's one of the original ones but the raincover that was sold with it doesn't go with it. It's for a reclining Smorph Angry. I'm very cross I didn't do more research into them as I had only seen black BuggyPods and beige Smorph2's so when I asked them what model it was and they didn't know but it was beige I figured I was getting a Smorph2.

At least DD3 doesn't need the to 20kg capacity (10.5kg at 2y) but still.

Plus we are waiting on size 70 connectors as the Jazz needs the larger size ones. Still the man at Revelo is very very helpful.

pramsgalore · 06/10/2011 16:16

i was lucky as they put it on ebay with a buy it now for £20 Shock and it came with an extra arm thingy, but no raincover Sad dp is fitting it tonight, so fingers crossed it is ok.

MonkeysPunk · 06/10/2011 16:53

I'm considering the NEW Micralite toro (using fb10 discount code for extra 10% off) at www.pramworld.co.UK. I would need to sell something like my bjcm though...possibly the senzz also (and my unused Dylan volo). I think the Micralite is more manouverable with a bigger kid than the bjcm. However options to carry a changebag are more tricky with the Micralite.
I havent seen a toro irl and am worried if the seat might be too small. Also the new toro doesn't include a boot cover. Although it seems likely Ds will be too big to use that anyway.
The new toro has a viewing panel on the hood, and adjustable new rubber footrest.
Dont know whether to get old version, new version or neither!
Better still might be the BJ GT. There's no release date for it though

pramsgalore · 06/10/2011 16:59

my ds fits in the seat of my fastfold and he is 5 years old, he is in 4-5 year clothes, it is easy to push, i have looked at the toro a few times, but unless one comes up cheap i will not be able to get one, i would love a BJ versa and have told dp i will be trying one out for ds Grin he just went hmmmmm so thats a yes then!!!!!

TruthSweet · 06/10/2011 17:02

Wow that was lucky. I had been scouring Ebay for one and the cheapest they were going for was £50.

That's what I paid for ours though we have had to fork out and extra £15 for a missing bit and the size 70 connectors from Revelo.

I thought I had got a bargain as it came with a raincover. I'm an impulse buyer though at times and get flustered easy so thinking clearly is not one of my strong points Blush so I often find I cock up buying stuff (like the 18-24m rain/snow suit for DD3 that's about 10cm too big for her)

pramsgalore · 06/10/2011 17:13

Grin i buy on impulse, my finger presses the buy it now button before my brain engages Blush or i bid on something and then regret it and hope i am outbid, which i usually am Smile, i think if it had been up for say 40 i would not have bothered, but 20 is worth a play

suzie38 · 06/10/2011 17:13

I like the look of the Toro though hate the look of the Superlite.

pramsgalore · 06/10/2011 17:15

yes, the toro does look alot nicer.

TruthSweet · 06/10/2011 17:15

I'm very bothered by buying a 2007 buggypod with a 2009+ raincover that's incompatible - we certainly don't have £50 spare (I got it by having it as my anniversary present Sad )

pramsgalore · 06/10/2011 17:19

truthsweet, can you not get it to fit at all,

suzie38 · 06/10/2011 17:20

That Kobi sold for £609.99 a few minutes ago...There were 9 bidders.

pramsgalore · 06/10/2011 17:23

well she should agree to sell it this time, as that would be about half price, would it not, although still a few hundred less than what she was asking for it on gumtree

TruthSweet · 06/10/2011 17:24

It needs 2 equidistant poppers on the side panel (there is only one in the middle), 2 poppers on the back rest of the pod (there are none) and it has a recline flap when the pod doesn't recline.....to be fair to me the riancover was boxed so I just checked it wasn't torn not that it was compatible (beacuse why would you have a raincover that didn't fit and yet sell them together??)

I have got some sticky velcro tape in the hopes that I can bodge it enough that it stays on - seeing as DD3 hasn't got a rain suit that fits it really needs too!

MonkeysPunk · 06/10/2011 18:07

Hmmm, am thinking it'd be better to stick with the bjcm rather than the easy to push Micralite. The toro looks fab but isn't big enough looking at online measurements....I wish I knew someone that had one.

thisisyesterday · 06/10/2011 19:00

truth, can you not just sell it on ebay and buy the right one?

thisisyesterday · 06/10/2011 19:02

I am having issues with my bjcm (micro).

ds3 can get out of the straps so easily, even if they're tight. and if he leans then it just tips... cos of being a 3 wheeler.
he has tipped it over 3 or 4 times now :(

not sure if it's worth selling though as don't think i'd get much for it.... and what to replace it with anyway?

TruthSweet · 06/10/2011 19:12

Hi TIY - When I spoke to the man at Revelo (sounds a bit like the man at Del Monte!) he didn't think there was a cover for the early one or was it that it would just be impossible to get hold of one (I am very Confused??).

I think you should get the new BJCM4 (then I could stroke it lovingly covetously when we met)

thisisyesterday · 06/10/2011 19:44

hmm i thought there was..... but could be mistaken. i looked at them vaguely before ds2 was born

TruthSweet · 06/10/2011 20:00

HAs anyone heard of the Kiddicouture Nuage? It looks really nice for a small fold up rfer.
